Room was clean and comfortable
The room overlooked the side of the hotel and a liquid tank which had a noticeable DANGER sign. See attached photo.

Nice spot and close to city centre
Was a little bit confused where main lobby was but was assisted by workers in diggers club

The amazing friendly staff.. the breakfast at The Diggers Club. And our room was just what we wanted.
Nothing for us not to like 👍

It was terrible experience.
When we arrived at the hotel receptionist Donna spoke and treated disrespectfully to myself and my wife. Very sarcastically like I slap you etc. The room she booked us in was terrible with an adjoining room which was unlocked and when we asked her to come up to lock that room for security reasons, she took very long time to come up. When she finally came to our room instead of going to adjoining room to lock door which she could have done from another room , she came in our room and started snooping around. Our privacy was breached and we felt very uncomfortable. When I asked about tv channels and functions she said my kids can do better than you and said I should slap you sarcastically. After this incident my wife had enough and asked her to leave as it was getting so frustrating.
I have got recording how she was speaking to me and my wife.
I am very very outraged with the treatment of guest in your hotel.
But other staff members were good specially Wayne.

Everything was clean and perfectly located right next to all the good restaurants and all the shops along long jetty. The staff was very kind and always helpful. It was our anniversary trip and they even wrote us a kind note and left a small bottle of rose in the room! Would 100% stay again at this lovely hotel

It was in a decent location. Club next door was alright. Long Jetty was really nice at sunset.
I waited for about 15 mins in the lobby which was completely abandoned. Eventually a guy came in who must have done baggage and when I explaiend that I'm waiting for someone to check me in he just said 'Looks like someone's gone for a wander. You know there were 3 of them here before??!!'. Thanks mate, that really helps. Not only that he then left the lobby but not before dropping a bag on the recption desk and telling me 'BTW tell Donna to put the ice packs back in the freezer!' WTF?! Who's Donna? It then transpired that I'd been booked twice (booked 2 rooms). I don't know how that happened but she just said 'must be a glitch!'. When I asked her if she could just cancel one of the rooms she said 'No, you have to see the website about that!!' The whole thing was just weird and unexpectedly hard work at the end of a long day. The last thing you want to do is then spend your evening dealing with customer service on a website so I ended up paying another $110 because I was that stuffed and over the whole experience. Help was not forthcoming at all - just a 'that's a shame, darl!' and a smile. Mediocrity shouldn't be rewarded that way but I was that worn down. :-|

It was very comfortable and grand. I didn't have time to explore the pool or club etc though. So perhaps booking it just for a day didn't make sense. I could have gone for an average stay with comfy beds and spacious rooms instead. Since that's all I used.
I wish I had more time to spend in the hotel. There could have been paste and brush. Which I generally get in most of the 4 star hotels

Just a short walk to the lake. Nice staff. Cleanliness. Next door to the club.
The bed is a bit firm. Shower is not hot enough.
