Excellent homestay

Merci, merci, je me sentais bien chez vous !

Le personnel est très agréable, la chambre est grande, confortable et propre. Parler français est possible. Proche de la ville mais à l'abri de son bruit !! Terrasse formidable équipée d'un frigidaire, vaisselle, évier..., bouilloire.. Ecoute du personnel, attentif aux demandes !

Dans la salle de bains - Manque d'aération donc humidité et un peu d'odeur. Penser à ajouter un tapis de bain (serviette) au sol devant la porte Sur la magnifique terrasse - Il manquait parfois un peu de propreté (dans l'évier, sur la vaisselle) Ajouter un couvercle à la poubelle et un petit four micro-ondes apporterait un petit plus...

Never ever book based on previous reviews.

They didn't give clean drinking water. Even after asking, leave alone offering water or tea on arrival. There were way too many mosquitoes making it impossible to stay or sleep. On asking for mosquito repellents next day for the two rooms we booked, they gave only one and promised another in a bit which they never ever gave. Mosquitoes still kept biting. They didn't switch on the ac even after asking 5 times (for which they were asking for more, which we would have obviously paid) and then are asking for more money when I have paid the complete amount which was displayed on my end at the website. The location is deep inside small streets making it a difficult to navigate if you have a language problem. The previous reviews misled me and I had a terrible stay at a city that I have know for and lived in for 6 long years of my mbbs. My family had a lot of discomfort.

Room atmosphere, space

No much privacy.. Windows and balcony door is not completely closed.. Can see ppl moving in the next building. And with common balcony for two rooms, ladies not feeling comfortable with openings in doors

Manoj helped me find all sorts of things to check out, and was so kind to help with anything I needed! The property was a beautiful old building, comfortable and clean!

The best place to stay in Pondi

Wonderful stay at Holi-wood, definitely the place to stay if you are visiting Pondi! The owner couldn’t be nicer, he gave us a tour of the beautiful property and it’s fantastic terrace area on the first night. He also helped us with rickshaw bookings and general recommendations. Rooms have comfy beds and lots of character. Would 100% recommend to anyone, fantastic value for money.

Beautiful but noisy Hotel outside of the center

the room and the terrace are very beautiful. The owner organized a bike for us, since you have to walk for 20 minutes to the city center.

We arrived at 6 am in the morning. There is no 24h reception. Therefore we waited for 2 hours to check-in. Despite there were a lot of empty rooms, we had to wait until noon for our check-in. A lot of little children live in the hotel. As a consequence it can be very loud.

Bright and comfortable homestay a short distance from the centre area of Pondi

Lovely bright and spacious room. The terrace area was fabulous for relaxing in the evening. Breakfast was a very generous portion.

Jaya and Manoj are really helpful :’)

Everyone is really good and really helpful. I was there with my sister and felt safe throughout my stay. it is near to white town and rocky beach, 15-20 minutes walk. i highly recommend ✨

Pleasant

Hospitality was good from the caretakers, when we came we were exhausted, then we got a room on the 2nd floor no lift available.

They asked for cash transactions which was a bit clumsy as I am from the tax department and they asked for cash only even booking is updated on the site. Parking was okay in front of the property. The water bottle not served was a bit of a new surprise. The room needs to be cleaned properly as there was dust under the cot, small cockroaches were found under the bed and also some on wooden almirah.

Superb

The bright colourful Bollywood theme was refreshing. The beautiful lighthouse made the view from the balcony prettier. One can relax at the balcony or terrace enjoying the breeze and admiring the beautiful view. Last but not the least the pleasant demeanor of the host just made the stay more memorable

The owners Jaya and Richard are lovely and very helpful with information and arranging transport etc. The guesthouse is clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay again.
