We enjoyed our stay. Property is a quaint old Victorian style home. It was on the colder side, but wasnt too bad with the hearing on. It could use some additional blankets (we had read pevious reviews and bought extras with us which we needed)
We recieved checkin info on time and it was easy to access the prperty (screen door doesnt lock which would be better for security)
Proprty was clean and tidy on arrival with the exception of some mould on the roof in the back room (this could be due to the recent large amounts of rain the week before).
Lounge is not particularly comfortable and some of the furniture is a getting a little tired and damaged.
We had issues with getting the spa to heat which was disappointing as this is the reason we chose this older property over a few newer ones we saw at the time. The owner was helpful and called to try to explain to us how to reset the spa (i had also followed these instructions given on the checkin info) but despite this it still did not heat beyond 29 degrees which was just too cold to use. Due to leaving the next day we couldnt followup with the owner again, however i think it just doesnt work properly and needs to be fixed.
Overall we were happy with our stay.

The spa was amazing and the house was luxurious

Nicely presented cottage. We needed the aircon to make it cosy, maybe poor insulation in the old style building?
Some in our group thought an electric blanket on the beds would help, but my bed was snug.
Quiet street close to great Italian restaurant & golf courses . Thanks Paul

Great house, lovely decor, and the spa was amazing. Only problem was there isnt any extra blankets if you get very cold easily.

We loved our short stay at the Cottage. Everything was luxurious, very clean and has everything we needed. It’s a great location for exploring the Hunter Valley.

Had a great two nighter here with the family. Close to everywhere. The house is a little dated being so old but with an updated bathroom and modern updates we didn’t want for anything. An amazing bath that fits two adults! Would def stay here again and recommend 👍🏻

The house was peace and quiet, the location was great. The houses decorated like modern but classic looks, nice place to get away for vacation and especially the hot spa, my nieces and nephew were enjoying it. They was hopping in everyday if there’s a free time. Recommend to anyone would wanted to stay at Cessnock. 10 to 15 minutes drive from winery places and 3 mintues from shopping Central.

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay at this nicely renovated old house. We were just a short drive to the wineries and a quick drive to plenty of shops in Cessnock if need be. Was nice and clean with comfy beds. We loved the spa which we relaxed in at the end of both days.

We loved staying at Paul’s property. The 3 bedrooms had very comfy beds with thick blankets to keep the chill away overnight. The hot water lasted ages which was great for the 4 of us. The hot tub on the back patio was the ultimate relaxation station making us feel like we were on holiday instantly. We will absolutely stay again! Paul was great at communicating and was only a text message away if we had questions. We will absolutely be staying there again and recommending to friends. THANKS PAUL!

Cute house in Cessnock, most places happy to collect us from the door to explore the vineyards and cellar doors. Aircon unit was big enough to keep us warm, bathroom was lovely and the hot tub a wonderful touch after a long day exploring the area The area was a little noisy one of the nights we were there but absolutely fine the others Paul was wonderful in getting the place ready at short notice and easily contactable when I had questions Good base to explore from
