Comfortable room but cold as heating didn’t seem to kick in. No breakfast available at the property but directed to local cafes. Clean, well located. Parking on site but entrance tiny so parked on road

Easy check in. Comfortable bed & nice clean large shower.
Food in pub is good and open Sunday evenings.
Some noise outside but expected being in high street but not a problem.

Location was excellent
Was given the first stable room which meant my dogs barked at everyone that walked past.

The stables rooms are great, private and comfortable.
it’s still a pub and Friday night there was a very noisy party in the function room. To be fair it stopped at 10.30.

good location
poor food, poor customer service, loud band playing in same area as the restaurant making it impossible to talk. if they have a band on they should put them in a different area or shut the restaurant!

The room was clean and well maintained. The bathroom was sparkling. I liked the quirky window view. It looked as if the room was newly refurbished.
Yes, the room was small which prohibited storage space. It would have been more troublesome if we were staying for more than one night. The bed had a distinct slope in one side, I had to be careful not to end up on the floor (maybe get a new mattress or turn it?). There was no hairdryer in the room, so in the morning I thought I would go down and ask at reception, but the whole place was empty with doors locked. I realised that this was the way they did things but it was something I had never seen before and doesn't score well on overall hospitality (the two people I spoke to the previous day were welcoming enough). 'Drop the key in a box and go' was a little odd.
Strange that for a place that offers food no breakfast was on offer? Not that it was a problem because there were plenty of places on the High Street.
Also, the entry to the car park was incredibly narrow; I think I had less than two inches (wing mirrors tucked in would have helped) I appreciate there is nothing they can do about it, but with hindsight I might have actually parked elsewhere.

Literally on the highstreet which is very handy and the rooms are modern and have been renovated.
We were in the rooms outside which were particularly small especially in the bathroom. The room was not clean and was dusty with cobwebs. I bought flash wipes to clean myself. I also asked for a Hoover and ended up hoovering our room myself!! Rooms were not attended to each day like a regular hotel which I think is acceptable for a pub however I do think someone should come in to make the bed, empty the smallest bin in the world and restock coffee. My biggest issue was the noise of drunk lads outside the window late at night and the fact the door has clearly been broken/ kicked into previously as the door frame is broken on the bottom right corner and the door is bent inwards. I didn’t feel safe and I didn’t feel safe leaving expensive belongings in there as always people loitering in the car park opposite. The staff were nice enough but very young. I do have dietary requirements and did ask for veg at the pub which was not accommodated for....

The hotel was in the heart of beautiful Malmesbury.
Our room was in the original building with a large sash window looking out onto the street below. As it was warm, we needed to have the window open but unfortunately the commotion in the street below kept us awake for hours. And then after a few hours sleep, the early morning traffic woke us again. As well, the bathroom was extremely small - so much so, you had to shut the door to reach the sink and we had to take turns in it because two people simply didn't fit. As we were staying in the hotel for a local wedding, we booked our room a very long time ago. Unfortunately I now realise that guests that booked less in advance seemed to be placed in spacious, quiet rooms in modern units at the back of the building. If I ever stay again, I will be sure to secure one of those.

Sadly Breakfast is not available but there is a superb tea shop a short walk from the hotel that serves a good variety of breakfast/lunch choices. However we enjoyed a very good evening meal at The Kings Arms of 6 tapas dishes that were delicious and the staff were very friendly and professional.
Breakfast would have been nice but it kept the price of overnight accommodation down.
