The people, the simplicity, the authenticity
The bathroom design/deco not up to the standards of the room and lobbies.

Lovely location, really helpful staff and great rooms

Loved the unique art pieces throughout the hotel and the bed was luxurious and large. The sheets were high quality and the room rug was like walking on a cloud.
No sound insulation from room above. We could hear all the running and screaming from the family above

From arrival to departure, all the staff were so welcoming, helpful and friendly. The hotel was well situated for the town, bus links to the Luberon, galleries and restaurants. Clarisse was helpful in recommending restaurants.
The bedroom was really lovely with a view of the garden. We had breakfast on few occasions, which was thoroughly enjoyable.
Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond the hotel’s control, there was no air-conditioning during our stay. However the staff did everything they could to minimise the issue and compensate for the inconvenience (water, fans etc)

NO CENTRAL A/c and management knew it when they checked me in. Innkeeper told me issue would be resolved within a few hours which did not ever happen during my stayq
Still waiting for resolution to my grievance, been several weeks, numerous phone calls, wasted a great deal of time. I have reported issue to Expedia and instructed my credit card company to hold payment until issue resolved to my satisfaction . Terrace door open and unsecure 24/7

Beautiful well run boutique hotel. Excellent staff.

The property was very quaint and lovely - filled with quirky and more traditional art pieces that made it a good mix of modern and classic. We booked a loft and we were surprised to see how spacious it was! Good to book for families. Mathieu and Clementine were very gracious and friendly. They took care of our lovely breakfasts each morning, making sure we have fresh breads and tea. Location was excellent as stores and restaurants were just a few steps away.

We had a fabulous stay. Could not recommend this hotel more. The location is superb, tucked away on a quiet street but a short 3 minute walk to the heart of Aix. The staff were incredible - provided wonderful recommendations and had amazing hospitality. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel is beautiful, clean and comfortable.
Nothing - it was all amazing!

We were fortunate to book the last available room in this lovely boutique hotel right in the center of Aix. Friendly, helpful staff. Thanks to them, these two older guests did not have to carry heavy bags 62 steps up to the top floor room! We had a small but comfortable room with everything we needed. The street was quiet enough that we could sleep with the windows open. We even had a little picnic one day in the hotel’s pleasant little garden.
We arrived during an Iron Man Triathlon event and could not access the recommended parking garage (Carnot). Fortunately we were already familiar with Aix, so we eventually wound our way to the Rotonde parking, which was quite far for taking our bags to the hotel. We would have appreciated a “heads up.”

This was by far the most comfortable, cleanest and loveliest boutique I have ever stayed in while traveling in Europe!!! Fantastic accommodations and the greatest staff. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Aix en Provence!!
Everything was exceptional!

Staff absolutely wonderful and most helpful. Comfortable and homely.
Place quirky in a good way :)
A bit tricky to find by car, but understandable given that the property is located in the old town.

Clarisse has been extremely helpful and she has also given us a lot of suggestions as to where to visit. Her suggestions for meals and restaurants have been really great.
The premise does not have the standard services of a typical hotel. It doesn't have a gym nor a swimming pool, but for the lack of such facilities, it is more than compensated by the friendly services.

A beautiful archetypal French property, furnished according to tradition. So lovely. The host was friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious
The WC was broken and the water ran all night. With the door shut it didn’t disturb though

Fantastic 2-night stay at the end of a 2-week trip; excellent location and close to the Cours Mirabeau and literally one block away from the Musée Granet and loads of shopping and food options.
The decor of the property was fantastic. Even the washrooms are different from floor to floor.
Wonderful and attentive, personalized staff; nice selection of tea in rooms as well as treats. Bonus that there was a fridge. Rooms are very spacious. Coffee maker.
Clarisse and her team were wonderful and helping us make dinner reservations; providing a map and showing us where to go and also giving us the heads up about the part 2 of the Musée Granet which was the fabulous Planque Collection full of Picassos. Also sent a list of restaurants with a quick description at start of stay.

Limited breakfast due to staff availability issue.

Location was very good, walking distance to the centre. Approximately 20 minute walk to the bus station. Room quite small but Decor was very smart, beautiful bathroom and very comfortable bed. Coffee machine in room.
Front door and guest room requires individually operated seperate codes to open. There is no staff on the premises after 8pm at night. Personally I am not comfortable with that. If there is a problem I would prefer help was immediately on hand, not to have to make a phone call and wait till someone can come.
Breakfast was not available due to a staff shortage. Disappointing that checkin is not normally open until 3.30pm.

What a gem in the heart of Aix. Situated within a few minutes walking distance to everything yet so quietly tucked away in a traffic free lane, it’s the perfect location to enjoy Aix with a brief midday siesta. The room was perfect, a generous size with a comfortable bed, nice powerful shower, decent wifi, coffee maker and some other nice welcoming touches, such as lovely toiletries etc. We had a pretty sunny garden view. We loved the daily breakfast served al fresco in the little back courtyard, fresh delicious baguettes and fresh fruits, freshly squeezed juices and amazing scrambled eggs - the best I’ve ever had - made and served with the beaming smiles and super service by Hedi, starting our mornings with peace and tranquility. Clarisse and Agathe were both so helpful with restaurant bookings and staff were all hard working and thoughtful. The hotel has an internal cafe area as well and were accommodating to us bringing in our Aix market purchases to eat on site.

Welcoming and super helpful friendly staff. All requests were addressed promptly with a smile. The guesthouse is modern and stylish but also has a warm lived-in ambiance. Our room was spacious and bright, with a high ceiling and a balcony. The bathroom was large with a good size walk in shower. The bed was super comfortable and we slept like on a cloud. Everything in the place is tasteful and of high quality and was selected with great care. We loved the breakfast in the back yard. Again, all items were of high quality, fresh and tasty. We appreciated that we could order a la carte exactly what we wanted. The location was perfect for us in a quiet side street but close to everything. Our room was toward he back of the house which was quiet and had a nice view of gardens and trees.
Inconsistent house keeping in our room. A few times cleaning was not as thorough as other times. Stylish furniture were not that practical. The one chair in the room was uncomfortable to sit in. The small night stands and the "block" for the coffee machine, cups etc did not provide adequate surface space.

The whole hotel is a masterpiece for people that appreciate aesthetics, art, style, decoration.. it's fantastic in terms of location too, helped by the provencial ambience of Aix too. However, even more importantly, the personell, all the staff that we contacted, were more helpful than expected! From our check-in instructions through sms, to the help with parking/charging, to the check-out where they helped us conserve our wines/groceries, and even helped my wife have a quiet room for a job meeting.. lovely nice friendly people, at a very sweet awesome little hotel!
