The parking was close by, and with sufficient room. The key delivery worked well. Reception was open early.
Restaurant closed early, unable to eat dinner there. We didn't get a room with a single bed, as requested, and the beds didn't seem like they could be moved. The mattresses were quite firm.
Room had cobwebs.

I paid €54 extra and I don't know why.

This hotel has a free car park behind it. Needed by us. You get free tickets that can be used on public transport. Breakfast was tea or coffee, bread rolls, cheese, ham, jam, juice. Rooms at the back are very quiet. Reception is open till about 2pm. After that you can get your key with a code they email you . On a bus route to the main station in Düsseldorf. It takes about 30 minutes. Mini fridge and hairdryer. Mini bar contents included water, beer, nibbles and wine. Pay extra for that.
Very steep stairs and no lift. Stairs much steeper incline than normal. See the photos. From the lobby I couldn't get the entire flight of stairs into a single shot. The other photo shows looking down.
One lady we saw was on crutches and she was having a problem getting down. I cannot imagine how she got up. A stair lift should be provided for less mobile guests.
Breakfast could be more varied. Rooms would need a fan if it were hot.
Better curtains (ours didn't cover the windows so it got light very early).

Everything, especially the owners and staff because they were so nice to give me a day ticket for all public transportation and allowed me to leave my vehicle all day long on the date of departure. Awesome people!
Nothing at all.

The location of the hotel is good, near the Unterbacher See and the bus stop with links into Duesseldorf. The staff was friendly. The hotel provided free passes for the use of the Rhein and Ruhr Region's public transport network, which was very useful.
Due to our travel dates coinciding with a trade fair in Duesseldorf the price we paid was outrageous. We paid a 4-5 star price for 1-2 star quality. The hotel charged us a second time upon arrival, saying that we had not paid yet. Fortunately, this was promptly refunded when we showed evidence of the previous payment. The process of booking 2 rooms (one for 2 adults and one for 2 adults plus 1 infant requiring an extra cot-bed) was not made easy by Booking.com and resulted in the need to amend our booking multiple times. This created some confusion over whether an additional baby bed had been paid for or not. It was also not very obvious in Booking.com that rooms would be charged differently based on occupancy. So if you actually use both beds in a double or twin room you pay more. The rooms we got were on 2nd and 3rd floor (loft) and there is no lift and only very steep stairs. The travel cot we requested for our 2-year-old came without a mattress and was rock-hard and unusable. We used the spare blankets from the room's wardrobe as a make-shift mattress. The towels were very thin/old. The bathroom was tired with limescale all around the shower cubicle and shower head, etc. The light above the bathroom mirror did not work. The toilet brush was disgusting and full of brown stains (these cost about £2 in Ikea - would it be asked too much to supply a new one for each customer, or once a month?). There are no kettles and tea or coffee in the rooms. The shower in our son's room hardly worked. Rooms are not automatically refreshed/cleaned every day. You have to request this by putting a cardboard 'hanger' outside the door asking for the service. However, our son's room did not have such a hanger. When we put our room's hanger on our son's room, to request it being cleaned, this was ignored and the room was not touched.

I like the location of the hotel and the environment, the room was clean and nice, I really like the pillow :) I do travel a lot and it was the best pillow ever for me. Staff was helpful.İt was very nice and helpful that the card was offer by the receptionist for public transportation.
Stairs are very dangerous, there was no room slipper, bathroom drain was clogged :(
