the location
everything else, the staff do not care the slightest, forget about the restaurant, security is completely absent , no Night Shift , door wide open etc…
3.5
The Location was excellent, Staff is general very nice.
The Wifi connection was terrible and unusable. Restaurant/Bar closed on Tuesday evening with little alternative. Suggestions/alternative should be made. A room/town/restaurant guide or QR code would be helpful.
A charming place but needs a little tweeks for modern times

the location and the restaurant staff

Actually we didn't know the beauty and the importance of the town. The Hostellerie is really close to the city center, and has a big parking nearby. The restaurant is delicious as well as useful for having a drink before dinner. But the swimming pool is what we enjoyed the most, it really made ours days! The room was cleaned and with a retro' furniture, very stylish.
Bathroom was equipped with a bath instead of a shower, but this was really OK and most of all it was totally in tune with the style of the room.

The pool was great, although dirty. The location was incredible, and the sound proofing on the windows, despite being in such a busy area, was amazing.
The room was so dirty. There was black mould in the bathroom, and the nightstands were covered in crust and crumbs, it was so gross.

Well located
No parking
Not enough staffed, waited way too long to check out and unreachable by phone.

Very charming hotel, provençal style furniture.
Exceptional: a small swimming pool, perfect for a dip to cool down, with a terrace and lounge chairs.
The hotel has an excellent restaurant, freshly prepared food with local produce.

Very well located , friendly place , very good room with terrace. Good atmosphere of an hotel belonging to the village.
A couple of things could have been sorted out in our room at the beginning of the season: net curtain fixed on the glazed outside door, squeaking bathroom door dealt with. Also the kitchen ventilation system is very loud and spoils the back of the hotel (terrace and pool)

The hotel is very well situated in the village
The room is quite small for 3 Luggage

The breakfast was very good with a good selection.
There was no handle to pull yourself out of the bath and therefore very dangerous and a my husband needed to help me out.

views to the coast
This is a very basic lodging. We chose it based on previous Les Collectionneurs properties which we have enjoyed but were very disappointed with this Hostellerie. It is nowhere near the usual standards we have encountered. We had hoped to eat at the hotel restaurant, but even though the information states that they are open 7 days a week, I was informed in advance that the restaurant would be closed for our stay. I emailed to ask if they could recommend an alternative restaurant, but received no reply. The basic reception area was unmanned when we arrived at 18.45 and two envelopes were placed on the desk with guests’ names on. We took the lift to the second floor to Room 13. The room is dated, smelt stale (reminiscent of the days when smoking was allowed in hotel rooms). The furniture was very basic, with brown nylon bed cover and very thin mattress and old, tired pillows. There were extra in the wardrobe of the same poor quality. the bathroom was large, tiled and dirty. A couple of plastic wrapped paper cups adorned the basin. The towel rail didn’t work. There was a door to an outside terrace which made the most of the view, overlooking the bend in the road over the village towards the stunning coastline.
After a very uncomfortable night, we woke early and went down to the cafe for breakfast. A bread basket, yoghurt and jam on a tray. The smell between the lift and the cafe of lavatories and fish was not great. Again the reception desk was not manned, but the breakfast waitress took care of our payment. I cannot recommend this hotel - had we realised that for an extra 30 euros we could have stayed at the Grand Eden Hotel where we had an excellent dinner, it would have been a much better choice. Very disappointed as this comes nowhere near our previous experience of Les Collectioneurs.

Hotel retained a style with charm, resisted over-modernizing the rooms. Yet, they were well maintained.
Lovely room with a view of an old plane tree just outside the window.
Real closets and drawers that closed and not those horrible open shelves where one's clothing is in full sight at all times.

Fantastic location with it’s views over Bormes. Great breakfast - value for money. Pool great for chilling around for a day or so. Restaurant was good - we had a lovely meal.
Facilities basic for the money we paid - also we had two rooms, a double and a deluxe double. We paid significantly more for the deluxe. The double room was actually nicer - decoration, furniture etc. The bathrooms need proper showers installing, especially the deluxe for what we paid . No real difference between the two rooms except the deluxe has a balcony, with a filthy table and old chairs / sun beds. However, the view was lovely.
