Positive vibe, best value for the money

I read some of the negative reviews and I am questioning how is it possible?! Obviously, some people don't have realistic expectations. If you want a super luxury stay, you might try Villa Chinka at St. Constantine and Helena, but it won't be the same price. It will cost you about 20+ times more. To me Hotel Horizont is not only the best value for the money but it has a very special charm and positive vibes. Although, it's not a luxurious place, it is very clean, the beds are extremely comfortable, I always have a good sleep there. Not to mention that the family who runs the place, has an exceptional customer service. They are friendly, helpful and personal, yet very professional. Stoyan has a heart of gold and works tiredlessly to make sure the hotel runs at 100% client satisfection. Silvia and Sirma are the most professional hotel staff, I've ever dealed with. I highly recommend this place.

Parintii mei insotiti de un alt cuplu au fost la acest hotel. L-am ales in ultima clipa si am avut emotii mari deoarece nota de pe booking nu este buna deloc. Insa s-a dovedit a fi contar a ceea ce-am citit online. Intr-adevar (dupa spusele parintilor), este un hotel vechi 'comunist', dar ai piscina si mancare intr-un pret care in Romania iti ofera doar o camera mediocra in Costinesti. Multe dintre camere nu au AC, dar ai mei au calatorit cu un ventilator portabil care a ajutat. Mancarea este buna, nu foarte diversificata, dar multumeste. Bauturile nu sunt inluse in pret. Nu am intrebat de parcare pe parinti, dar nu s-au plans, deci probbabil nu a fost o problema. Distanta catre plaja e de vreo 15 minute, maxim 20 si se urca/coboara niste scari. Este un hotel pet friendly, asa ca daca nu sunteti adepti ai animalutelor, poate nu este pt. voi. Personalul - o administratie de familie, cumsecade si gata sa ajute. Curatenie, da!

Poate ar fi mai indicat sa fie AC in fiecare camera. Frigider fara plata in fiecare camera.

Very good

The pool is the best thing about this hotel, and the proximity to the beach.

Food. There were very poor choices for breakfast. Lunch and dinner are ok, provided that one goes early enough and stays in line to get something to eat while there is food to choose from. When we arrived to eat halfway through the serving time, we could choose from a few kinds of sides, but there wasn't any or very little meat left, so it was a kind of a survival game. After a few days food gets quite boring, as there isn't much variety.

Very good price/quality ratio

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and the size of our room exceeded our expectations. The hotel has a very welcoming atmosphere partially due to its unique appearance and has kept its shape quite well.

Some of the rooms lack air conditioning, which can be a big problem considering the heat. Some bathroom doors don't have locks (at the very least our didn't)

Great location, amazing staff, though food quality and supply need to improve.

The Wi-fit did not work in the room. I had to use my mobile as hot spot paying additional £ 2.00 a day to my mobile network supplier.

Tha fact that in my requests I ask for quiet room with good Wi-Fi, but Wi-fi does not exist in the room.

An affordable place for those who just need somewhere to sleep

The food was decent and the receptionist was kind and helpful.

The place is old and decrepit. Most facilities haven't been renovated or refurbished for many years. The place doesn't have the best higene. Many parts of the hotel are not being cleaned properly or are left unattended.

I think that this price doesn’t reflect correctly the quality.

The pool is pretty amazing: large, not that deep (maximum 1.20-30 meters), clean. The food was alright - healthy. The price is pretty cheap but there should be more food included.

The menu isn’t diversified and there isn’t enough food for everyone. One night there was only 2 sort of food left and I didn’t like it so I had to go to a restaurant. The furniture is kinda old and should be renovated. I think the bath doesn’t look that hygienic and there should be done something about the bath-tub.

For the money that we gave, it's ok

.The pool was big and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located near the forest and it was very nice there.it is located 5 minutes from the beach. Its a bonus that they serve fruits every day.

The beds were uncomfortable. And I could hear every car on the street. They serve 3 meals a day however the meals are the same every day.

Good value (food, location, service) for your money. A nice place for young kids (pre-teens)

The location was good - for me - walking to the beach <10 min. Breakfast and dinner were nice, modest but tasty. I did not go for lunch (although it was paid) as i preferred to stay on the beach all day... ;) The facility is old, but t bed was super comfortable! TV channels - many languages, but the more - the better.

The facility needs renovation... but it is a good deal for the money.

Very soothing and relaxing

I liked the pool, the trees, the forest, the stars at night, the location, the quiet style of the hotel (no music), the hotel itself, the paintings & art, the terrace, the concept of the hotel - he terrace of the room is meters away from the pool, the attitude of the staff. The food at noon and at evening was ok, better than expected. Super-value for money.

The pool is very clean, the food is good.The property is close to the beach. The view from the balcony was pretty.❤

The beds could be better and the locks are horrible, it was a struggle to lock the doors.

Rarely seen combination of the price and quality.

Rooms are modestly furnished but sufficiently big, clean, quiet and there is everything necessary. The terrace is large and it provides wonderful view. The food is excellent. It's various and there's plenty of it. The location is great and it's connected with traffic lines with many departure timing. The thing which I'll remember the hotel by and which I enjoyed the most is politeness of the staff. So many smiles you probably won't see anywhere on one place. They are always available and they fulfill all the tasks. Rarely seen combination of the price and quality. I recommend it to everyone.

Cheap hotel. If you don't have mobility issues, location is quite good, the swimming pool is good

Service/staff - really good and friendly Swimming pool - really nice Quality of food - good

Smokers - It's allowed to smoke everywhere in the hotel. People were smoking all the places, terrible experience for me and my wife, since we do not smoke. Bedroom - No A/C, no fan. Bed mattress was really old and bad. Location - The hotel is close to the beach, 400 meters only. If you have mobility issues, it's not recommended. It's 400 meters uphill + 122 steps. My wife has knee problems, so for her was complicated. Old people or small children can also be an issue. We choose all included(all meals) in the hotel. The quality of the food was good. But only few option of food available.

Very good price and quality

For the price the place is clean and quiet. Even without AC the rooms don't get hot. The pool is great for kids because it's not very deep and that makes it safe for them. The food is good and clean, never had any problem with it or with the rooms. If you don't expect 5 star conditions for that price you should feel very good there. It has good Wi-Fi, even by the pool, i could videocall my friends. The staff is friendly and even checked me in early in the morning. It has a small store with ice cream and drinks that is decently priced.

The food was good, but it was less diverse than other years. I think it's because the covid situation, because usually the place is full, but now it was quite empty. I am sure that by the next year this shouldn't be a problem anyomore. The location is a bit far from the beach, but if you are in shape it shouldn't be a problem. If you are fat or obese you might struggle a bit, but the seabreeze and the vegetation make it a enjoyable walk.
