The view from almost every place of the hotel was simply stunning. The staff were all incredibly friendly and so helpful.
4.5
Staff were amazing , super helpful and always happy . Pool devine , lovely breakfast , walkable
to town.
Some Crockery , wine glasses in the room be helpful. Air con a bit higher as super hot.
4.5
The location and the view on the sea is unique and fantastic. At breakfast, at the restaurant, around the swimming pool, in front of each room/suites your eyes will be delighted and you will be breathless. The best private access on the sea in Castro, allowing you to visit the “Azzurra” cave complete this paradise corner.
The rooms are quite old style and the humidity could be high.

Wonderful location perched on a cliff with stunning views of the local coastline. Lovely gardens and relaxed atmosphere, beautiful pool with sea water. Great rocky coves for swimming nearby and easy walk to the historic centre of Castro for local restaurants.
The rooms are simple and have comfortable beds.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The view from my room was wonderful but not all rooms have a view.
Stairs, stairs and more stairs! With no handrails. I have bad knees and only stayed one night after booking two nights due to the amount of stairs. I stayed in and ordered room service because I couldn't handle the stairs. They did charge me for the second night but waived my dinner cost.

Nice views and breakfast 👌
Sheets and bed were not comfortable and they changed our room from a suite to a room last minute

Location
Its a 5 star location, with an incredible aged infraestructure, and a very poor service

Excellent staff - eager to give good service. Two problems in room sorted out immediately. Location and view wonderful and also very quiet.
Room was showing its age a little.

Really friendly family run hotel. Really peaceful where you could feel the heart the owners had invested in their business. Great sea water pool.
There are loads of stairs - this is a cliff top property so if you have any mobility issues don’t stay here.

full of character, with everything needed for a delightful holiday
dogs in the restaurant at breakfast time.

very nice location, wonderful view and super helpful and friendly staff
the hotel has a great potential but the facilities are relatively old, the room and the bathroom very very simple, not worth 4 stars and definitely not worth the price. breakfast has little choice and a supplement needs to be paid for additional items

Also for short drive to Porto Miggiano for great rocks and snorkelling. short walk up to the old town for dinner. Recommend restaurant Amedeo. nice connecting room for family. and nice chill area outside room.
Ac only in one bedroom of 2. would be nice with 2.

Piccolo Mondo is a truly SPECIAL hotel. There are few like it that we have stayed at. When we found it on booking, we knew it would be a place that resonated with us. The pool is incredible, and we especially loved that it was a natural saltwater pool, filled straight from the ocean water below. One of the hight lights was that you could access a natural grotto directly by going down a flight of stairs and jumping right in from the hotel grounds. The staff is incredibly helpful, and super cool. They provided excellent recommendations on where to eat and explore that really spoke to what we were looking for.
The only reason that I wouldn't give it 100% of the 'highest' ratings is that the rooms are pretty dated, and the window treatments could use way better light filtering, but that does add to the charm of it all!
3.5
Great location and facilities.
Bit basic, maybe needs a bit of a update

Proof that simplicity is luxury. In fact, i am reluctant to rave about this hotel too much for fear others will discover it. The view, the generously sized room (and breakfasts), the pool, the exuberantly friendly staff and owner... All if it made Il PIccolo Mondo a joy.
Nothing.

The hotel is has so much potential. it’s on a beautiful cliff, swimming pool is amazing, restaurant and bar are great.
Rooms have sea view and are quite private and you mostly get some outside space too.
We may have been unlucky with the room as it was not really up to expectations for the price. We had a simple room, which was fine but the fixtures were lacklustre and not well fitted, the wardrobe, which only featured a rail had no hangers and the shower head was not screwed on properly, showering more of the bathroom than anything else. Also, not really enough hooks to hung anything. Most problems were resolved promptly, but really, we were expecting a different level.

secret private beach made my stay. lovely .
nice cute bar facing the sea.
hotel piccolo have seen better days. They are in dire need for a face lift. This hotel literally takes you back to the 1960s. Rooms are old, dated, bedsheets / blankets looks like it used a million times, toilet is horrendous. The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbours. Was very happy to leave the hotel asap.

Facilities and staff are very nice and warm welcoming.
The price is a bite high due to the old fashion room. Rolls need to be all refurnished and be modern.
Sometimes we did not have water in the shower.
