Service here is HORRIBLE. NO maid service, no help with check in, no breakfast (even though they say it is offered). the hotel is only accessible by foot and it is impossible to find with google. We waited 3 hours after I called the hotel number to have someone meet us at a parking area and help with bags.on our way out, we were informed 10 minutes before we scheduled help that he was “too busy” and we had to make do. This is a nice property but it is horribly run.
You pay hotel prices for Airbnb room. EXCEPT. NO KITCJEN, no laundry! Stay away!!

The beds and bed linen were very good, as was the general decoration and room sizes.
We were unpleasantly surprised to find that our rooms were not serviced daily, bathrooms not cleaned and beds not made. Valentina who checked us in, was subsequently uncontactable, including when we left, having to put our keys in the letterbox.

Firstly, I want to be fair to the hotel as it is in a beautiful location and the rooms were decently done. There is a fabulous rooftop and a pool. The beds are comfortable and they stocked the fridge and had a welcome basket when we arrived. The town is lovely and the views from the rooftop are unbeatable.
The location of this hotel is at the very top of the village. Whilst the description clearly says that there is no parking and no direct access, what needs to be said to anyone thinking of staying here is that you must be VERY FIT to stay in this hotel. If you are older, with any disability or just not physically fit, do not stay here. The incline to get up to this hotel is incredible. It is steep and there is NO close parking so once you park (if you find a place near one of the spots the hotel provides) you have a walk. To get to the piazza, which is the only place with amenities, it is an incredibly steep down and up.
Secondly, the hotel is not staffed, not even part time. So you don't have the ability (save for texting) to be in touch with someone. If you have questions or needs, it is by text. For those who are okay with that, and if there not any issues, then okay but if you like the idea of a common area, a chance to speak with someone, get them to do reservations (etc) this is not the hotel for you. Also they say breakfast is included but what they do is stock a large basket with mainly dried things that are meant to last your trip.

The location was gorgeous with wonderful views over the vine yardas. Spectacular in autumn. The room was wonderful and the breakfast basket could have fed five people. We had an unforgettable stay.

We had such a great stay. Everything was perfect and felt like we were really able to experience the region. The family managing the hotel were excellent, and we were even able to go and taste some of their Barolo wine in their beautiful cellar. Could not recommend more!!

Everything!
Village is on a hill and the apartment is on top of it (but this gives beautiful views!) so prepare for some steep walks :-). But from down in the village to the appartement is only 5 minutes.

Very central location in a beautiful small village.
Close to the church bells ensured early morning wake-ups :)

The staff was amazing and extremely cordial, they allowed us a lot of flexibility for the check-in & check-out timings. The pool was well maintained and practically only for us with an amazing view of the valley. The Solarium was extremely relaxing and was a nice spot for a morning breakfast.
The room was curated in every little detail, high renovation level in an historical old palace in the oldest part of the town.
Very comfortable positioning in order to roam Monforte d'Alba for an Aperitivo with a glass of wine, and for sure it has been an optimal base to explore the "Langhe" area for the weekend.
Nothing bad to note. Everything was pleasant in the right way.
