Very convenient location right on the beach walking distance from where the speedboats drop you off from the mainland. Staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming.
3.0
- location near restaurants
- many options for breakfast
- helpful and friendly receptionist
- unclean pool and too small to swim
- dirty room and no space for clothes and so on
- everything deteriorated, bad maintenance
- spotted and worn out linen and towels ( no hand towels)
- rubbish and sand everywhere: you can't come in and out the hotel without walking on the soft sand
- the beach was filled with motor boats and was not nice to swim: coral, stones, sea weed
- you did' t get basic complimentary things (coffee, drinking water) to your room without asking
3.5
Right on the beach - although its Lombongan - so the depth of the water varies massively with the tide. Beautiful bay location.
The Pools (2) were really good, shade if you want it, sun if you want it.
The rooms were basic but the beds were good quality (up there with expensive hotels).
Overall it could have been cleaner and more effort from (most of) the staff. But then, if you pay a small amount, I reckon you should expect less. Else you are searching for a unicorn.
3.5
Hot water ran out every night, there were electrical (issues including sparks in the room at night), bathroom door that can't close to outside, loud Geko. But I liked it!

You get what you pay for. Property isn’t very well maintain and far from the town where you can go for meals so you need to travel by taxi everytime( we are a family with kids so scooters were not an option).
But the staff was friendly and helpful and the price matched the standards you get.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the hotel and wanted to change hotel on the second day, unfortunately all the good ones were fully booked.
positive: the staff were very friendly and reacted to problems immediately. Breakfast was also very good and sufficient. You can choose between fried rice, fried noodles, eggs with toasts, pancake and tea, coffee, orange juice. And the location was great, next to the center with restaurants.
Negative: There are old bungalows and newly renovated ones, we got an old one although many of the new ones weren't occupied. The old bungalows are pretty worn. We also had a mouse in the room. Then we got a new bungalow because the mouse escaped from the staff in the room. In the morning. The open air bathroom is pretty nice, but they're an incredible number of mosquitoes there. The hotel was also stormed by Chinese day tourists every day, who are allowed to use the pool.
It also stinks badly of the canal in the restaurant where breakfast is served. Really uncomfortable. We didn't feel convinced by the concept of the hotel, since it was very run down and simply didn't invite you to feel comfortable.
You would expect more for this price range. It meets more the standard of a budget hotel. Unfortunately the price is not justified.

I liked the outside bathroom and the traditional cottage. The location was close to restaurants but still private. There were three pools an it was also close to a lovely beach.
There was nothing to not like.

We stayed at the Tanis for five nights, but we could have stayed for much longer. The manager Chris and his staff were perfect, they were super helpful, courteous and catered to our every need. We stayed with our two daughters and we ate at the Tanis every day. The food was easy and delicious, the price was super cheap and they cooked at any time of the day.
The location was priceless, right on the beach of Mushroom Bay. A wide range of water sports equipment (paddle boards, kayaks, snorkel gear) were available to hire at the Tanis and also right next door. The snorkelling just off the beach was amazing with beautiful coral and fish everywhere. Mushroom Bay had an abundance of great restaurants to choose from on the beach and also a short walk inland. We did not have to venture more than a few hundred metres to get everything we needed.
We stayed in two interconnected Garden Villas. The rooms were very clean and the bed and pillows were faultless. Our rooms were cleaned exceptionally well every day. To our surprise there was a water slide that our daughters loved and were on all day when not at the beach.
The Tanis could do with a facelift and a few upgrades. There was work going on to paint and make improvements while we were there but this did not impact us.

Location is good, friendly staff
Generally worn down hotel. Good location. 4 stars is highly overrated, I’d give it 2 stars.
Worms swimming in the bathroom sink in the morning. Shower worked 3 out of 4 days.
Breakfast included is a modified truth; one could chose one item from a 4 item menu. We chose to eat elsewhere.

The staff and Mr Putu go all the way to help. Very customer centric approach and top of that very honest
Nothing every thing exceeded our expectations

The room was really huge, staff was really nice and friendly, everything was provided in the room, facilities is complete and they have a nice garden.
Although they provided free WiFi but it was really poor and the shower heater wasn't working very well.

The staff are exceptional especially Putu on front desk, Kadek works everywhere & Dweejar in the restaurant & bar. Bed was comfortable, beautiful view of Mushroom Bay, icy cold beer, food was also very good.
Nothing to not like, everything was perfect. Swimming pool lovely.

Ocean view room with breakfast was great value. Location was excellent and staff were amazing. Great to support family owned business. Staff went out of their way to help on all occasions and were always very happy and polite. Resort was very quiet and boats with day trippers utilising resort facilities did not happen as per other reviews. Not many visitors have returned to Lembongan since Covid and many businesses are still struggling. Tanis are slowly conducting maintenance on their many bungalows that were closed during Covid so that they can reopen these soon -the finished ones look lovely and are very private. Tanis arranged transfers by fast boat for AUD $30 return from Sanur Harbour and this was very smooth process. Also had many meals at TS Hut - excellent quality food and very cheap. Owner and staff really warm and friendly, spending time with their customers. They have ‘The Boat’ massage and beauty salon located next to restaurant - quality is exceptional with long term staff of over 10 years. Many return customers for meals and massage due to high quality.
Nothing - only hope they get more visitors to support family business!

the location, staff and facilities were fantastic. staff are very accommodating
the stairs are a lot lol, and towels were thin and you only get one in the room

Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our morning chats over breakfast. They were happy to arrange a private manta ray snorkeling tour for us. The included breakfast was very simple but very tasty. The room was very basic which was expected but it was clean and had a small balcony that overlooked the pool and ocean. The pool was a nice way to unwind. The resort was right on the beach and easy walking up the beach to multiple restaurants for a different dinner each night.
I would have no issues staying here again.
The hotel appeared to be undergoing some sort of mini refurbishment which whilst it was not noisy, we were confused if the bar was actually open for drinks or dinner, so we always drank and ate up the beach at the other more inviting restaurants.
Personal preference - there was no top sheet on the bed (which seems to be a bali thing). The bathroom was also 1 large room so there was not separate shower which meant when you used the toilet, there was often water on the floor from your earlier shower.
Whilst it didn't worry me, beware of you book an Oceanview room - there is no lift so you will need to walk up the stairs which could be a problem for some people with mobility issues.

The view and proximity to ferry
If I was to stay there for longer I'd want better tv but maybe that's the point, to make you watch the ocean and not the tv

Staff looked after our family and ensured our stay was very comfortable. The food from the restaurant was fantastic so we had most meals from the restaurant. View of the ocean was amazing and the location was right on the beach.
Will definitely stay again in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay

Nice hotel in the Mushroom bay.The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had beautiful seaview from our room. The breakfast is OK.

The location right on the beach was amazing. Staff were so friendly and welcoming, they couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was good. The room was very clean and comfortable with great air con.
They were refurbishing the beachside restaurant during our stay so I guess this will change going forward but there was no bar to grab a drink on an evening and from the photos it looks like they have a chilled beanbag area on the beach but this is actually a photo from nextdoor. Having no bar or restaurant just made the place feel a little soulless. Hopefully they will complete the refurbishment soon and it will liven the place up.

Nice location on the beach with two pools and a waterslide. My 4yo daughter really liked the pools but they lacked other kids. We picked the location as we had the option of getting a separated double room.
Still recovering from covid and more than half the hotel is empty and the staff seems undermanned. Prices are a bit high compared to what is offered.
