Mike was very accommodating and let me pick up the key earlier in the day. The room was large and clean with a good sized shower room and the bed was very comfy. The setting was very quiet and peaceful and tucked away down a lane. I enjoyed the Dorset cereals and the good variety of fruit for breakfast before the well cooked full English breakfast and toast.

A tranquil retreat that blends comfort, history and style. The setting is stunning and the hospitality is excellent. I will be returning for longer next time.

The location was perfect, although very close to Bournemouth airport, we weren’t bothered by noise from planes taking off or landing. The rooms were large, comfortable and very clean. The views from the windows were of the countryside. We had access to two lounges and a dining room as well as tables and chairs outside. Although the property appeared to be in the middle of nowhere, it was very easily accessible. Mike, couldn’t do enough for us. I rang him several times with different queries and it was never a problem. We arrived early at the property and as the rooms were ready we were able to access them straight away. As we hadn’t booked direct breakfast wasn’t included in the price, but we decided to pay the £7.50pp to have something to eat before we left. So pleased we did it was worth every penny. There was fresh fruit in the middle of the table, a choice of Dorset cereals and yoghurt (on request) the full English breakfast was divine with excellent quality products, toast, jams etc with fresh coffee, tea and juices. There was a complimentary tea tray in the room with fresh milk. Would definitely recommend and if ever we are back down that way, would most definitely stay again. Thanks Mike.
There was nothing to dislike.

We chose Heronshaw House as it was very near Bournemouth airport and we stayed the night of arrival and again the night of departure which was very convenient. The house and gardens were very peaceful and all you could hear was birdsong. Our rooms had everything we could possibly need and the beds were very comfortable ensuring a good nights sleep. We enjoyed a lovely farmhouse breakfast cooked by Mike who couldn’t do enough for us and was so helpful. We would certainly return here if flying into Bournemouth again.
There was absolutely nothing to dislike.

Quiet location within walking distance of the airport, clean tidy room with great shower, lovely continental breakfast, very accommodating relaxed host.
Bit tricky to find initially.

Breakfast was good. Could of been a bit hotter the plates were cold which didn’t help.
There were a lot of cobwebs in the bathroom around the loft hatch

This was my second visit and it was just as lovely as the first. Very relaxing, nice garden to use if you wanted. Fabulous meadow walk along the river and past a ford. Perfect for my dog to go swimming, she absolutely loved it. Great location. Breakfast beautifully cooked, to set you up for the day. Owner/ host, Mike friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend and depending on where I eventually move too, I would visit again. Oh and must mention the walk in power shower. Fabulous 😊

The location was beautiful, remote and quiet. Mike, the host, was available but left you to it so you felt like you had privacy.
Each bedroom had its own lounge & breakfast area so you also had your own space there too.
Dogs are allowed so we could bring ours along & he was welcome in the bedroom & lounge area. There are lots of fields nearby for walks as well.
As it is a country house, not a hotel, there are no additional facilities such as bar or ability to have dinner so will need to be prepared to source an evening meal off-site. A minor detail for a lovely country house stay.

A great welcome on arrival and a free upgrade as there was availability. Nice seeing fresh milk in a flask rather than UHT milk which you normally get.
Very good selection of fruits and cereals for breakfast to accompany a good cooked full English breakfast. Very comfortable bed and a good strong shower.
Would have been nice to have some information on what to do in the event of a fire and also a towel rail would be lovely too

The property and surrounding area is beautiful. You’re not far from civilisation but this is a real oasis of peace and tranquillity. Our host Mike was the best. So friendly and accommodating. We loved every minute.
Nothing at all. We just wish we could’ve stayed longer.
4.7
The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom clean with plenty of towels. No biscuits on the tea tray which had tea or coffee, no herbal or fruit options. Breakfast was good, nice to have fresh fruit. We appreciated not having tv in the room as it is less noisy.
As mentioned elsewhere the car parking is tricky and the maintenance of the property needs attention-rotting windowsills and grubby carpets/ paintwork.

The location - just wow!
Mike and Andrea (hope that's correct) were delightful hosts and so helpful. Mike went over and above for my 'healthy' breakfast - thank-you!
The room looked over the front of the property and you can see fields and trees. I sat out to the front of the property after checking in with a glass of fizz - idyllic.
The room was beautiful and the decor, classy. The bathroom was spacious and I enjoyed the oversize shower (I am tall and often feel confined in a shower cubicle).
Mike was so thoughtful he even thought of handing me a flask with fresh milk in to make myself a proper cuppa.
I slept so well. You're on a quiet country lane and it is pitch black and quiet at night.
Not sure I can think of anything!

Peaceful, despite being close to Bournemouth Airport. And a very comfortable stay with an excellent full English breakfast. Marked facilities down a notch due to no tv in the en-suite room.
Nothing to not like!

Lovely spacious shower. Come and go as you please. Lovely dog walk direct from door and within short distance of beaches and the New Forest. Mike and Andrea friendly hosts. Nice quiet location. Mike cooked breakfast perfectly. For a single room it was good size and bed comfortable. Plug socket next to bed and dressing table, ideal for charging phone etc and for drying hair in front of wall mirror was a bonus, some places this is not the case.
4.7
Lovely characterful property, excellent hosting by Mike, fab breakfast.
