nothing
They have charged me twice for my stay. I have shown the person who was at the reception (the father of the guy who is supposedly the responsible?) my bank account where it clearly shows they (Marie Hotel) charged me twice on two different days. Instead of helping me solve the problem he told me "I didnt do it! Do you think I am lying?".
He was very unprofessional and also very aggressive. He also yelled at his wife next to me, who was trying to help me. I am here on vacation, and I dont want to deal with this kind of aggressive behaviour.
Thankfully booking has been helping me get my money back. However it has been 2 weeks of sending documents and contacting them back and forth for something that its not my fault but the fault of the Marie Hotel!! The hotel also havent been answering to booking customer service properly.
One can find so many better options on the island, I booked Marie Hotel due to the fact it was close to the port and had good reviews. I have stayed at a different hotel at Kos previously and didnt have a single issue. If you dont want to have headaches later on, dont stay here. There are hundreds of hotels within a walking distance to the port, where you will not face this kind of bad behaviour.

Nice
The cockroaches on our beds and stains over sheets and towels. Staff too loud in the morning

Outstanding service. We arrived very late after a delayed flight and our host, although sleepy, was very welcoming. Breakfast was amazing. Our host could not have been more attentive and helpful. Little freshly cooked traditional dishes just kept arriving.
No complaints.

Very convenient location with shops and restaurants nearby and the street was not busy. Good sized room, comfy bed. Very nice breakfast but as there were only a few guests we were encouraged to eat lots! Very friendly
It's next door to a church and the bells started ringing at 7am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday

It was clean, comfortable and in a handy location for the port, restaurants etc in Kos town. The room also had a small fridge and balcony with a table and chairs, which was a bonus.
There was nothing about the hotel itself we didn’t like, however the church bells next door started ringing at 7am, which disturbed our sleep!

The room was very clean &comfortable.
The breakfast choices aren’t really big but it was always fresh and really good.
It’s in the middle of the city. I could reach everything by foot. Kos town, the 3island boat tour, the beach, bar street.
The house is a little bit older, which means it’s not really sound proof, so you can hear everything going on in the corridors. So if you’re a light sleeper, this might not be the place for you.

Very clean, excellent location and very nice personal

Immediate vicinity to beaches, restaurants, shops, delicious fruit+veg a block away! Then I must pay tribute to the hotel's warm heart, Mama Gülsen who bakes and sautées a yummy and filling Turkish breakfast every day (you must have her homemade jams and preserves: apricot, grape, pumpkin...), tends to her family, and does it all with a smile - no small feat!
There's the church and its notorious bells next door - Friday 6pm, Saturday 6am(!), Sunday 7am, 8am. Be warned! I set my alarm to close the balcony door shortly beforehand, was worth it! But this is a minor thing.

I forgot my ID at the hotel and left for another island. The owner was super gentle and helpful in organizing the delivery. Really appreciated!! The hotel is tiny, very clean and in a perfect position.

Everything including the location was fine

The hosts were kind and helpful and available to us whenever we needed something. The hotel just only a block off the main beach in town and a short walk to the marina area where all the boats came in. We had wonderful breakfast on the patio every morning with fresh orange juice!
The beds were a bit hard for my liking, but that is just personal preference.

Perfect location; near the beach, shops, and good restaurants. Hotel staff are also very friendly and accommodating.

The hotel has a great location, 2 minutes to the beach, lots of bars, restaurants, taverns, cafees, shopping streets and supermarkets all within walking distance and a bus station 1 minute away that would take you to the center of the town.
Hotel is clean, has an elevator, rooms are simple but with air con and fridge, balcony and a nice view. We could hear the waves from our room and see the sunshine and the sea.
Stuff is really friendly, altghought most of them don't really speak English. The receptionist offered to upgrade our room for free just because he had the option available and because it was the end of the season the hotel was not full. Also he drove us free of charge to the center of the city to the bus station so we can take the bus to the airport.
Breakfast is something definitely not worth getting here. For 4 days there was only bread, tomatoes and cucumbers, spreadable cheese, olives, boiled eggs, feta and gem. No meats, no pastry, 1 type of cereals, just instant cofee that we had to mix it ourself with hot water, some orange juice(not fresh, from the bottle) and several tea options. After 4 days a new lady appeared in the breakfast area and apologiezed for the breakfast being poor as she was in a holiday and from that day on we also had all sorts of pastries, tomato salad, meatballs and spring rolls. Home made and tasty but still no bacon, salamy, fried egg, ham etc.
The hotel is next to a church and on Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday at 7:00 AM the bells will ring for about 10 seconds loud and clear. If you can go to sleep afterwards it's OK, but the first time it was a shock.
Bus station for the airport is far and you need to get a cab or another bus.
