Beautiful place, but poorly accessible room

The location exactly matched our ideas and requirements, a quiet and peaceful place overlooking the sea. We enjoyed the breakfast in the first days of our stay (but after a few days you find that it is unfortunately still the same). The WiFi worked without problems and we could safely store our bikes in the adjacent storage room. Communication with the pleasant owner was also without any problems.

Villa Nieuwland shows more than 40 photos of its interior and exterior, but not one of them shows how inaccessible the accommodation is. There was an incredibly narrow and winding staircase leading to our room on the second floor, making the accommodation a dangerous barrier. It's also silly to describe a small kitchenette when it lacks any equipment - there wasn't even a single plate or cutlery. The spring mattresses on the double bed were already very worn, uneven and too soft.

Geweldig en relaxed verblijf.

De ligging is prachtig, heerlijk rustig en relaxed, mooie omgeving om te fietsen door de omliggende dorpen en langs de Waddenzee. Vriendelijke gastvrouw.

Als ik iets moet bedenken zou ik buiten graag een comfortabel zitje zien en het ontbijt was eenvoudig.

Super nette Atmosphäre, sehr persönlich, sehr sauber, sehr gemütlich. Man konnte sich gleich wohlfühlen. Super Frühstück, liebevoll zubereitet. Lisette, du bist bezaubernd! Fahrräder können sicher untergestellt werden.

One of the quietest and comfortable stays I’ve had in a hotel in B&B. 5*

A nice clean and comfortable room looking across at the church - a picture postcard view. Lovely. Really nice room in a lovely home. Very very quiet and no church bells as clock not working.

The area whilst very nice has very few shops so don’t expect too much local amenities.

Location was very good and breakfast was plentiful.

The booking website mentioned that toiletries were provided but the two most important ones, i.e. shampoo and body wash were not provided. Website also mentioned daily housekeeping but our room was not attended to which meant no clean cups and glasses. We were happy to use our towels more than once so that was not an issue.

Lovely B&B

Everything!! The room was clean, spacious with nice decor. We stayed in the Zeezoen room: my husband, our 17 year old son and me and it was plenty of space for everybody.

You really need a car to get there. Public transport doesn’t run very often between de Oever bus station and the town.

Een geweldige korte ontsnapping ♥

I really liked the cleanliness and the property location. It has a very cozy feeling inside. The view from our room was also great. I loved how we can use the coffee machine by the kitchen. We were also grateful to have met the owner herself, she was very nice, and despite this pandemic, she managed to be strict with the safety protocols without sacrificing the hospitality services. It was the best trip we had experienced this year, so far. Indeed, a great short escape from the Covid Pandemic. Bedankt Martine! Tot de volgende keer!

The lighting in our room (we stayed in Waterkeer) during the night was in the middle of ''too bright or too dark,'' in my opinion, the lamps were adjustable, but the maximum lighting was still dark if we were eating, and if we opened the ceiling light, it was too bright, especially when watching on T.V or laptop. But the natural light was great during the morning!

Great breakfast, comfy beds, nice seaview from the room. A nice walking route from outside the hotel along the coast with plenty of birdwatching areas. Good COVID safety measures in place!
