Warm welcome upon arrival, room was spotless. Cottage in great location, Ambleside centre with its eateries all within walking distance. Excellent cooked breakfast with plenty choice. Loved the use of locally supplied toiletries which you could purchase from store in Ambleside.
Good supply of fresh milk for cuppa delivered to door in a morning was a great touch.
Thank-you for a most enjoyable stay...

Such a lovely place right in the heart of the village. The cottage is warm and welcoming.
Both Amanda & Mark are fabulous hosts and ensured we were always comfortable. My partner and I enjoy fell walking so Mark provided us with ample recommendations, which we greatly appreciated. We also enjoyed the hearty conversations after breakfast.
The room was well decorated, comfortable and had everything we needed.
Breakfast was very good! So many options to choose from, which you do not get in most places. The scrambled eggs are a must!

lovely cottage in Ambleside , 2 minute walk from the centre. Amanda and Mark couldn’t do enough for us and the breakfast was to die for and lots to choose from. Mark even sorted us out with a map and advice for a walk up to Rydal caves and it was beautiful and well worth the visit. The room was lovely and clean. wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Caz x

This is a lovely B&B, the house itself is quaint, modern and fresh. Impeccably clean, great attention to detail. We stayed in a standard room but would consider the suites if we return, they look lovely. Service from the hosts Amanda and Mark was superb, extremely attentive, loved the touch of the afternoon cakes they left out for their guests. Breakfast was good quality, freshly cooked, lots of it. Location was perfect, short walk into centre of Ambleside, free parking too. We would definitely return.

Beautiful Bnb in the centre of Ambleside. The hosts were amazing, we got engaged during our stay and they arranged flowers, champagne and home made cake which made our stay even more special. The rooms are gorgeous and the food is also delicious and love all the options for breakfast.

A fantastic little find, luxury B&B, very personable owners and a homely feel with lots of attention to detail. We stayed in the balcony room, with a gorgeous view overlooking star of Loughrigg Fell. the room itself and separate bathroom are both huge. Luxe, modern decor, immaculately clean, stylish. super comfy bed and warm and toasty for our January stay. Bath of dreams after a winters walk! The owners are a lovely, friendly and a very welcoming couple - making you feel right at home. So many nice little touches make this place a lovely little hidden gem, from Fresh flowers in our room, to healthy homemade nutritious breakfasts options and ever freshly made cake when we got back from our walk. Central location less then a 5 minute walk from the centre of Ambleside, but just far enough out to escape the hustle and bustle of tourists. We would definitely stay again. Thank you!

This property is fantastic, the hosts were friendly and accommodating at all times, going above and beyond to make our stay as perfect as possible. The breakfast was fantastic with a good choice of options. The cleanliness of the property was exceptional and I loved the little touches throughout - Fresh flowers in the room, complimentary home made bakes every day, the beautiful sitting area with a welcome hot drink upon arrival, the jar of extras in the bathroom. The property is cozy and welcoming and very well looked after. We felt like royalty and feel that Mark and Amanda did everything possible to make our stay memorable. The property is also a short walk into Ambleside and everything is on your doorstep.
Absolutely nothing. The whole stay was perfect from start to finish.

Haven Cottage is wonderful. Relaxing, warm and friendly. The hosts could not be more welcoming and took great pride in ensuring our stay was perfect. Breakfasts were fabulous and so were the freshly cooked homemade cakes, all done with local ingredients. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and great location. Simply perfect

We loved everything about this cottage! The hosts were super friendly and gave us a great tour as well as sharing recommendations of the local attractions. The cottage itself was beautifully decorated, and the rooms and facilities clean and warm. It’s clear that a lot of thought, care and effort have gone into making this a perfect B&B.
The food was tasty and fresh. The best poached eggs courtesy of chef Mark and a scrumptious Victoria sponge cake baked by Amanda, which had my not so sweet tooth partner going in for a second helping! Overall we had an amazing time and it was an absolute pleasure to stay her. Highly recommend. Thank you both for making this such an enjoyable experience.

Very nice cottage situated on the outskirts of the village a small 5 minute walk to ambleside village. Bus stop directly outside which was convenient. Great base for many nice walks. Very well presented, clean and homely. The owners are lovely and very welcoming. Food was very nice and Amanda even made a fresh cake for the guests to enjoy each day which was a great touch. Would definitely go again, next time in one of the bigger rooms as the standard double is basically a small room with ensuite. Lovely but nowhere to chill other than sitting on bed. Would be nice improvement if a small tumbler chair could be fitted in these rooms. Overall excellent and would recommend.
Nothing negative. Just nowhere to sit in smaller rooms and like I mentioned it would benefit if rooms could accommodate small tumbler chair for extra comfort.

The location just 5minutes walk to Ambleside is ideal. The owners couldn't have been more welcoming and the whole Cottage was clean and comfortable with a sitting room downstairs.
We both enjoyed an English breakfast after serials tea and orange juice.

Highlight was the breakfast, huge selection, freshly cooked, everything delicious. They could not have been more hospitable if they tried. loved that we had to with DVD player in our rooom and selection of DVDs in the lounge that we could borrow. Having parking in Ambleside was a huge bonus.
Not a criticism as it was what we booked but if we came back again but would book one of the bigger rooms
