This was such a charming quinta to stay at! The swimming pool was my favourite part, with some lovely views over the vineyards. The building itself was full of character, taking us back in time. Marco was welcoming and a lovely host. We would love to come back!

It is a beautiful location, Luis the host was very kind and helpful. It is a working vineyard with a lot of historic buildings. The grounds overlook the Duoro valley. The unheated swimming pool is great and also overlooks the Duoro Valley. It was great that they made up the room each day. The breakfast was wonderful and Luis made a special cake for us.
The mattresses on our beds were very hard. We used some extra blankets on top to make them more comfortable.

Brilliant host and very friendly staff. We really appreciated the daily cleaning of the room and the excellent breakfasts each day.

500 year old farm building, winery, beautiful flowers, and other amenities. Quinta da Cumieira provided the first real views of the Douro wine country of our trip. Louis was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed trying the port from his vineyard and the quiet ambience of the rooms. Breakfast was delicious and a very good value.

This is truly amazing place with breathtaking views. Breakfast was so delicious and rich that I wasn't hungry till the evening :) Host is super friendly and hospitable.

It is an ancient quinta with houses full of history, spacious, very calm and surrounded by the vineyards. The host is so nice, super attentive and welcoming. There is a pool which the kid valued a lot. Also, we enjoyed playing tennis several times per day. Fresh orange juice is served during breakfast, and all food is tasty and fresh. White wine of the quinta costs only 5 Eur per bottle. Port wine is offered to taste for free.
Nothing.

This was our second visit to this property (last visited in 2018). We came back so we could enjoy the ambience of the Quinta. The rooms are simple but comfortable and the farm buildings are charming and decorated with period pieces. The breakfast is provided in the 500 year old building and includes wonderful jam that they make. The property has many spots to relax in, including the courtyard of the farm and the pool with stunning views of the hills and vineyards. The owner makes wonderful wine and port which you can taste. It is a very charming place.
It is a bit out of the way and you will need a car to explore the area, and it is a bit of a walk to the closest restaurants. But if you plan on wine tasting in the Douro and need a place to stay, this is a wonderful option.

Wonderful location, friendly owner and relaxed atmosphere. Grateful that we could bring our pet as well.
Breakfast was yummy.
The mattress was a bit uncomfortable - but that is the only slightly negative point of this accomodation!
I didn't like that we only stayed for 1 night - our stay should have been a bit longer but that was entirely on us!

Help with guidance on visitor attractions. Based in a working vineyard.
Loved the birds, peace and quiet, views, swimming pool, education about the vines and Cork oak.
Tennis court, amazing breakfast and staff who went out of their way to help.

Superb location just 20 minutes drive from Vila Real - but with an "away from it all" feel. Excellent swimming pool and delicious/generous breakfast. Luis was very welcoming and helpful.

This place is really beautiful, authentic and charming old farm in the middle of the wine fields. A quiet hide out with stunning views from the pool or from the terrace.
The owner is making his own wine and port which you can find in a small cave for take away (to be paid later of course).
You’ll find breakfast in a huge old stable, the fresh orange juice made from own oranges is already worth the stay! Fresh bread, cake and fruits, some cheese and ham and a very good and strong coffee give a good start into the day and this is definitely worth the 5€.
There’s a kitchen with a huge fridge, freezer, microwave and oven in case of self service ideas.
One more thing: everything is really clean, the rooms but also the pool area and all the different places where you can sit and relax outside.
I loved to stay here for two nights and I can highly recommend this Quinta which is located perfectly between Vila Real and Regua.
Some comfortable lounge seats outside in the gardens or on the big terrace would have been perfect to spend more time with drinks, books and talks outside. But this is not really a negative point, just an idea or a recommendation.

Excellent rural property and well sign-posted. A great pleasure to stay in a 500-year old estate. The lodge which I stayed in was built in 1809 and in tip-top shape. There are medieval buildings on the property. Huge vineyard has magnificent views from the pool. Host was an enjoyable man to get to know a little about. The property has been in his family for 130 years. Very, very tranquil place. Utterly delightful!
The N2 road to get to/from Vila Real is treacherous. Neatly got killed by a bus on my side of the road on a blind curve. Drivers think it's a race track.

Spectacular location
Products in the bathroom, and hairdryer would be nice

Great place. Owner was a fun character who was happy to talk us through his wines. It was a comfy stay like we were just at home (if home was a brilliant farmhouse/vineyard). Would love to return.
