Location.
I've never stayed at such an awful place.
There was NO hot water.
Room was cold, we had to sleep in our clothes.
Light in our room was extremely weak.
And finally THERE WAS A BLOOD STAIN on the wall next to bed.

We liked the location, it was just 5-10 minute walk to the centre and the bus terminal was less than 5 min away. They let us pay by card with no extra cost.
One of the shared bathrooms had problem with hot water (hot water practiacally didnt exist), then the stuff showed us that there is a second one which was better. Wi-Fi is super-slow so we had to use our cellular data. In the kitchen there was super mouldy andy stinky pot staying on the kitchen desk for 2 days, but to be fair the staff took care about this when we asked them. The fridge was a bit mouldy too. When we arrived we were counting with the fact that the accomodation accepts US dollars as it is written on the booking as their currency. But they didn't want to accept our dollars because they were kind of worn (we got them from the ATM in Ecuador, where they don't mind). Or better said they would accept our used USD but with worse exchange rate to CLP. But I guess this is kind of problem in Chile in general. Luckily they let us pay by card.

This is the second time I stay in this hostel, and it was as good as the way I rememeber the last time: good location, in walking distance to Caracoles street, quiet, comfortable room (with bathroom), a kitchen you can use to fix something to eat, helpful staff. The price is compatible with what is offered.
The room could improve with a fan (a ceiling fan would be perfect), because it is very hot during the day in San Pedro. Also, it would be better if they were more flexible with payment methods (although the staff lady said credit card is accepted, the card machine was never there, and the local tax would be charged no matter what), although in Booking it is said the tax would be waived if paid with credit card,

Central but very quiet location. Room was spacious and clean. Private parking was available.
They wouldn’t accept card payments even though they had the facility as they didn’t want to pay bank charges!

The room was big, the are between the rooms nice to sit in the sun
The owner was hard to reach, no English, and the kitchen was very bad!

Relatively cheap
Good location
There was only half a minute of hot water in the middle of the day. The bathroom is tiny and you can barely use the toilet. The walls are thin and you can hear all the noise of people partying until 2am and others leaving at 5am on tour. The curtains are almost see-through so you'll wake up at first light.
Our worst experience was with the private parking lot, which only fits 3 cars - we were the third. Later in the evening we noticed that the owner had allowed 2 more cars onto the lot, effectively blocking exit of the first three. We told her this was a problem as we needed to leave by 7.30am the next morning. She said no problem, the 2 cars will leave at 5am. She even promised to come check at 7am herself. At 7, only one car had left and we were still entirely blocked in. There was nobody at reception so we had to call her. One she arrived, she started waking up half of the hotel, knocking on all doors, as she had no clue who the car was from. Luckily she did find its owner, who was still sleeping, but who eventually moved their car so we could leave. If they would have been on an early tour such as El Tatio, we would have not been able to leave and we would have been utterly screwed as we needed to leave early for the remainder of our itinerary.
Note that even if you don't come by car you still might be woken up.

The location is very good
It didnt have any fan in the room. So hot to be inside.
Bellow the bed was disgusting. It was never cleaned
They only give 1 toilet papper per day, it is absurd

The room was lovely and spacious and the outside facilities were great. Perfect location, so close to the bus station and a 5 min walk to the town centre.
There was no hot water in the showers and the kitchen facilities weren’t the best, only 2 hobs worked and the actual oven didn’t work.

Location is good (near supermarket, center and near the main street), nice patio, comfortable room
We had 2 of 10 days the room service (therefore the room is dirty soon, similar with the kitchen a little bit), shower was mostly cold

We stay from December 20-24. It was a spacious room, and the decor in the courtyard and dining room was ethnic and pleasing. They have a dedicated private garage with secure parking. The kitchen is convenient.
The reception girl Luis was cheerful and helpful.
Short drive to the main plaza and easy access to the highways. It was in a quiet location with hardly any traffic. Can easily do stargazing from the courtyard, when the skies are clear.

The rooms were quite big and the bed was convenient. They made us a lunch package for our tour on the last day. There was a kitchen to use. The staff was helping you when you talked to them. WiFi was good.
They tried to charge the taxes even if you are not a inhabitant of Chile. After some negotiations we didn't pay it. The staff was not very motivated but you could talk to them. The water in the shower was cold but after reclamation they fixed it on the second day. Breakfast was not good and the shared bathroom in the end of the day dirty.

The room was very clean on arrival. Shame it was not cleaned once during our 4-day stay. It was great we could use the kitchen. Short walk to the center and bus stop. We could use the bathroom and luggage storage on our last day, which was very helpful.
There was no ventilation in the room, the window kept closing, so it was impossible to cool down the room in the evening. Breakfast was poor, I'd rather not take it and have it in one of the city's restaurant.

Calm hostel, 10-15 min walk from city center, possibility to park the car. breakfast was ok. room was big enough for too.
we always had to ask the girls to fix the water, to get hot water in the shower. But it's in the desert, so probably not their fault.
