Lovely and quiet, close to the airport, would highly recommend

Fairly nice option before/after your flight

+ manager very helpful and friendly + room spacious and well lit (if you find the right switch out of plenty :) ) + quiet at night, airplanes don't disturb + bathroom large and also well lit (switch was behind the door!) + good Internet + hotel has big halls with decor of unusual (for Lanka) style + 10 minutes to the airport

- some of utilities not in perfect condition (old-style shower in the bath tube unusable, door to the bathroom scratching the floor, part of bathroom window replaced with dirty net) - no curtain / walls in shower cabin - no towel elephants/swans/dogs from the pictures :) - breakfast was simple and tea was bad (in Ceylon!!)

Good communication when I had to change check-in times, friendly staff overall. We were allowed to leave our bags for a few days while going on another trip, which was super helpful.

Beds slightly short, but overall good place if you need to go the airport before/after!

This was the perfect pit stop when we landed in Sri Lanka. We were welcomed by the nicest family and staff that put a lot of effort in providing the best comfort for our short stay. Our room was extremely spacious (bathroom as well) and had a large comfy bed. The property is beautiful, surrounded by trees and a well manicured backyard which made for the perfect breakfast spot. Mohamed was very helpful with travel recommendations and even opened up his home on the tail end of our trip when we had a late flight as a place to relax and clean up before heading to the airport. Would highly recommend, had a lovely family feel!

Convenient place to stay when using airport

Very convenient location for short stay when using the airport. Situated in the residential area. Staff was friendly and helpful arranging transport for us. The room was specious and clean.

Best place to stay near Colombo airport

Norfolk Villa is located jut 2-3 km from the Bandarnaike International Airport. It’s a really convenient option if you are landing late or have an early morning flight. It’s a beautifully done up guest house with a decent sized lawn on the side. Its located in a residential neighborhood which has very large size row houses, some of which are magnificently made. The owner Mr Ilyas is a genteel Sri Lankan native whose family is now settled in UK, so he shuffles between the 2 countries. He strikes a great conversation if you happen to catch him during your stay. He is ably assisted by a ever-smiling housekeeper. The bungalow is spacious since it was made for his personal use as his residence. Its also tastefully appointed by his wife. One can see the effort put in choosing each artifact. Their highest category room is fairly large and has a big-sized stylishly done up washroom. I would have definitely that one had I seen it earlier. It’s worth the upgrade. PS – I had left my backpack by mistake. Mr Ilyas was most helpful. Kept it in safe custody till I picked it up on my way back to the airport.

Host was very kind and friendly. It was a pleasure to have conversation about business with him. I recommend this place to stay, when you're going to the airport next day.
