The apartment we stayed in is a good size with two bedrooms. The kitchen is particularly impressive and well equipped and came with lots of basics (oil, salt, pepper, sugar and much else). You could cook a very good meal here. Large balcony with an excellent mountain view. We had intended to stay two nights here and I'm sure we would have enjoyed that, but, through, no fault of the owners we were only able to stay one night (though agreed to pay for two). We missed a night because we had missed a ski-lift back from Zermatt to Cervinia and had unexpectedly had to stay another night in Zermatt. But see "What I didn't like". Due to poor communications even our one night was cut short so that we didn't really have a chance to enjoy the apartment.
Communication was a little difficult. This is the owners 2nd apartment and is not the one whose address is given accurately and completely in the bookings.com information. The address we were given for the apartment where we were to stay was incomplete and inaccurate. This caused us to be sent to an almost identical address some ten miles away incurring €10 in tolls to get there and back and taking about an hour. The inaccuracy in the address was small, we guess, the difference between saying Ave or Avenue in English. But enough that google maps could not identify the correct address without the full version. It came down to the difference between "Via" which found a very similar address 10 miles away and "Vialle" which finds the right place. Driving around in the dark in a country not your own is not without anxiety and this didn't help. The apartment when we found it was indeed, as we had believed it would be, a few hundred meters from the first apartment, address of which is in the listings details. We had been at the listed apartments address at around 6:30pm, still light, just, we eventually got into the apartment where we stayed at around 8:15. The other lost half hour was finding a cash machine as the owners wanted to be paid in cash, what they could have told us is that there is a bank with a cash machine opposite the apartment building. The owner did agree to an approximately 20% discount.

The Val d’Aosta region in Italy is a wonderful and refreshing place to spend the hot summer time. Saint Vincent is a small and lively place, certainly among the best in the region. We were looking for a location where to spend a quiet time and rightly guessed the right spot! Gianluca, the owner, met us at one of the properties and took us to the property where we stayed. It was a flat on the second floor and it was easily reachable because there was a lift. The flat had everything you needed. And a view to the majestic mountains that side the whole of Val d’Aosta. We had breakfast, most of the lunches and dinners around the large dinner table in the lounge, looking at the landscape. The rubbish collection was well organised. Going out after breakfast, lunch or dinner meant being straight in the city centre. Very convenient indeed. We also took the car to visit Aosta and two major valleys. One day we walked to a nearby castle: wonderful and suggestive! On the departure day Gianluca came to collect keys, money and to greet us goodbye. We had a short chat about some more places to visit, he is very knowledgeable about the region. The only very minimal problem was parking, but I was always able to find a spots within 5 minutes walk, so not so bad, after all.
