Not for us.

The female manager was excellent, very kind and very helpful. The location close to the station was brilliant and close to the centre. Good recommendations.

No water in rooms Very basic shower gel for all your hand washing needs. Small rooms Does not look as good as pictures. Towel rail in bathroom covered in rust. Thought it was going to be a cool chic hotel. More like a hostel. Disappointed that it is distinctly average hotel with a good photographer of the rooms. There are better small hotels on cote d’azur. Nowhere to put a toiletry bag in the bathroom. Tiny bathroom. Very noisy could hear every conversation in the building from my bedroom

Hidden Gem

Location was great, 5 mins from train station & 5 mins from seafront, staff were friendly, attentive & helpful, general ambience was nice (very French), the price was great and the lovely garden where we had breakfast was a little oasis. Highly recommended.

Very little, shower was a bit tight but I would have a bigger build - my wife found it fine.

Superb

Our experience with the hotel was absolutely stunning. We got the best room and the value for money was great. Our room had 2 balconies and the whole atmosphere was so "French like". We were also facing the beautiful green garden of the hotel. Everything was really clean and the bed comfy. It is right in the center of everything and 2 min from the train station. Good thing is that you can't really hear the trains. There is also a school right besides, but the noise doesn't really bother at all, mostly because we were in town most of the time and just resting for a bit in the room. Overall great experience, I would definitely return here and totally recommend it.

Small and Charming

The terrasse was really cute, and our small balcony was very charming.

it was pretty small, especially the bathroom! and the train passed just in front of the building, although not at high speed.

Exceptional

The hotel is in perfect location. It's 10-15 minutes walk to the city centre, and just few minutes from train station. It is a little bit old but that just adds up to the rustic charm, so I really liked it. It was clean and the staff was really nice and kind! I highly recommend this hotel.

perfectly adequate for a short stay in Menton

convenient location to the station - nice staff who provided helpful orientation and restaurant recommendations

room could do with updating - also on ground floor was noisy with people walking around outside in middle of night in the garden area on pebbles - no air-con (fan was ok but air-con would be better especially in summer)

Lovely hotel with a beautiful garden in Menton.

Friendly staffs, comfortable and relaxing room. We enjoyed our breakfast time sitting in the beautiful garden!

Basic accomodation with a nice green patio and friendly staff

We enjoyed the lush patio with lots of plants and cozy seating for both breakfast and lounging in the evenings. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the breakfast plentiful (by french standards). Room is basic nothing fancy, good value for money in Menton.

Summer is hot though and the room gets warm. There is an old basic fan and blinds in the window, but if you're sensitive to heat it won't be enough. If you can live without A/C, or you're booking off season - you'll be fine.

Super close to the train station, very spacious rooms, very quiet location. Very nice host!

Very good

Very good location close to the train station, beach, restaurant and stores. Room was modern and nice, only thing I missed was a refrigerator. Staff were nice.

The air condition didn't make the room any colder which made the night a bit too warm. The shower made the whole bathroom floor into a pool and there were no drain. Also its't near a school so it was a lot of noice already at 8 in the morning.

great value for money

it’s a lovely old hotel with lots of authentic additions like the original shutters. The staff were great and very friendly.

the shower was a bit tricky and shot round and sprayed out when you switched the water on, so it was easier to hold on to it. I don’t know if a better holder could be fitted. We would’ve found it really helpful to have had advice about parking (I should’ve asked) as Google sent me to lots of car parks that weren’t 24 hour.

Superb

This little charming hotel is situated in a totally quiet corner near to the city center, just a five minute walk to the sea. Its wonderful garden is a secret place with bougainvilleas, lemontrees, blossoming flowers, the breakfast is extraordinary good with lots of fresh fruits, homemade cake, special cheeses, served on plates and little tablets that underline the very romantic feeling of this little hotel. The rooms are simple but clean. I definitely will return sometime…..

very lovely owners, super affordable, room was very spacious!

very bare minimum, small shower, can hear the school kids next door quite clearly… if windows are open- very basic
