We returned yet again to Bigham's Cove, for this sweet cottage, very well appointed, with an excellent location for us, since we love the beaches, kayaking, wildlife, and getting into Bath and Brunswick. Wonderful hosts who are easy to communicate with, and who clearly cherish their lovely cottage.

We loved this place. It had everything we needed. Watching the tide go in and out was so peaceful. The upstairs bedroom felt like sleeping in the trees! The location was great-close to everywhere we went.

Excellent location at the head of a quiet cove in West Bath, convenient to fine restaurants, walks, the beach and ocean. The cottage is light filled and excellently furnished with good-looking comfortable furniture and a kitchen with every needed convenience. We enjoyed a delightful telephone conversation with our hostess, who also supplied useful driving directions. We would happily return for another stay.

This lovely cottage is in a great location! From Hiking to Kayaking, Downtown shopping and restaurants and nearby attractions. It was clean and well equipped - More than most places we rented in the past. The owners were responsive and friendly; and the cottage was comfortable and inviting. You could just sit outside all day and enjoy the view and listen to birds singing! Our week was totally relaxing and enjoyable! Thank you Deb & Jamie !

The cottage was wonderfully located in a leafy seaside nook, quiet (excepting all the lovely birdsong), had all the amenities and extras one might need. Deb and Jamie were generous and responsive hosts.
We were close to places to buy seafood, shop and visit. We enjoyed beach days at Popham and Reid State Park, visits to the glorious Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, Maine Maritime Museum and lots of great places to enjoy seafood near the ocean. We enjoyed paddling in the cove and enjoyed the regular sightings of eagles, ospreys and herons.
It was a great holiday, many thanks to our hosts.

The property has been well maintained and it has a well equipped kitchen. The view of the cove and its tidal flats at low tide inspires us to perceive time differently. It is a short walk to the kayaks, and a short drive to a wonderful beach, markets, restaurants, activities, etc. The owners were very accommodating.

When we decided to take our family vacation to Maine, we didn’t hesitate to book the same cottage we stayed at four years ago. It is well stocked, is right on the water for easy kayaking and is a short drive to other attractions. Plus the hosts are super communicative and helpful, even offering to dry our laundry when there was an issue with the dryer.

Immaculate quiet on scenic cove. Away from all traffic or noise. Fabulous location, midway between Bath and Brunswick. Accessible to our favorite beaches- Reid and Popham.

My parents and I stayed at Deb and Jamie's place in West Bath for graduation. It was absolutely perfect! Beds are super comfortable, living room is exactly the right type of cozy, kitchen is incredibly well appointed. It was just what I needed to regroup after a really busy and fraught 6 months.
Instructions were great and the hosts were so warm and friendly.
Thank you Deb and Jamie!!

Location ideal as it is minutes away from rich history of Bath, ME. At the end of the cove, there isn’t any urgency to rush into the day. There is time to draw, read, write and enjoy the peace with the one you love.
The property has all that you need to have some stress-free time away from the normal everyday. Our days there were exceptional as we could focus on each other. While we forgot a couple of things, the property owners had us covered.

My husband and I stayed at the cottage for our 3 year anniversary. We had a very nice and relaxing time. We were able to visit surrounding towns and have plenty of lobster rolls. The owners were very receptive of questions and recommendations. Cottage was very clean and had everything we could think of! Overall, a great little getaway!

We really enjoyed our stay! Up front communication was great - knew what to expect. Contacted us ahead of time with check in procedures (thank you!). We added their kayaks to our rental - well worth it! We were able to go out when it worked best for us. Beautiful location. House had everything we needed for our 4 night stay in September.
Thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The property was one of the nicest we have found to suit our needs and really did include everything we wanted. The view was great! It was private considering there are residences all around, but we hardly saw or heard anyone the whole time. We found the location to be a great hub for all the things we love to do -- like Popham Beach, Morse Mountain to Sewell Beach and of course restaurants. I highly recommend this site!!

This was a lovely little cottage equipped with everything you could possibly need. It was fun to watch the tide go in and out in the cove and see how the landscape changed. My sister and I were visiting family that live in Bath and so this was perfect for us. We definitely would rent it again.

A delightful cottage. Fresh, airy, super-clean, and lovely hosts.
Morning coffee with sweet view over the cove; birds coming and going made our stay extra special. The home has everything you need for cooking meals, spices, condiments, and all the dishes and pots & pans you'll ever need. Close proximity to our day stops... Popham Beach, Bath, Doubling Point Light. and a few local hikes.
We thank you for sharing your home!!!

This was our best VRBO experience ever.
The cottage was perfect and included anything one would ever need. The owner was friendly and kind when we called to ask about how to turn on heat.
Quiet, beautiful neighborhood with lots of opportunity to watch birds.
All around lovely setting, cottage and experience with owner.

What a lovely getaway! The house was the perfect size for the two of us overlooking a peaceful cove. Fully functional kitchen so we didn't have to eat out for every meal. The owners were wonderful to work with. We have been coming up to this part of Maine for many years, and this accommodation is definitely some place that we would return to and recommend to others.

My partner and I adored staying in Deb and James's cottage on Brigham's Cove in West Bath. The property is just as described, and even lovelier in person. Deb and James are friendly and communicative, and helped facilitate a smooth stay. The kitchen was fully equipped and their space felt just like a home away from home. We loved the decor and how the space was full of antiques. We enjoyed kayaking in the cove and saw multiple herons and cormorants, and even a bald eagle! The spot is private and offers access to nature, while also being within reasonable driving distance to Portland and Brunswick. The town of Bath is worth exploring too! I would absolutely love to stay here again :)

Quiet, clean, fresh, and serene! Very easy home to inhabit! Well equipped kitchen - host has graciously thought of everything. Upper level loft primary bedroom is lovely, and one can access the bathroom on the first floor with the spiral staircase. Worked
Fine for us!

The property was in a fantastic location-immaculately kept. Best stocked kitchen-the owner thought of everything. We are a senior couple/upstairs bedroom was not accessible for us-but we were able to stay downstairs, near the bathroom. Could use a full length mirror-otherwise, a perfect week!

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful week at this lovely cottage! One of the best surprises was the warm cove water. We were able to swim every day which is something I don’t usually do in Maine! The property includes everything you could possibly need or want. The owners have made sure that you’ll be comfortable during your stay. Renting the kayaks was a plus. We hope to return!

Really nice experience (2nd time renting)
The house well suited for us and our two young children. Deb is great. She responds quickly through out the whole rental process and provides great recommendations.
We enjoyed kayaking in the cove, Popham beach, local 4th of the July parade and fireworks, and local restaurants.

Amazing getaway
My wife and I spent a week and couldn't have been happier. Not one negative...clean, inviting, peaceful, relaxing with the most amazing view out of the livingroom that pictures cannot describe. The neighbors were friendly on the rare occasion you come across one. Access to many interesting fun tastey towns and places. Freshest seafood on earth and that view out the living room window.........thank you Deb And Jamie.

Optimal Place for Tranquility and Rest
This is the best kept secret south of Bath! Hosts Deb and James were perfect hosts and their cottage exceeded all of our expectations. Having stayed in many VRBOs, we have become rather particular and their cottage far exceeded the description!
If you are looking for a place to rest, refresh, and have peace and quiet to think and reflect, then look no further! We look forward to staying here again! The location is very close to Bath and easy access to local state parks.
