Tout! !

Beautiful hotel. Nice room. Very good dinner.

Lovely old hotel with comfortable room. Bed was super. Dinner was great - small choice, but healthy and high quality.

Nice location, vintage property, good spread of breakfast.
Room was small. The bathroom was divided in 2.

The staff at the hotel are excellent. The service at the wedding was very good and the food at the wedding was lovely. We also had dinner one evening - the food was simple but tasty. The courtyard area was perfect for drinks or dinner while we were there as the weather was fantastic. Breakfast was basic but plentiful.
Our suite was extremely dated and tired. There was no room on one side of the bed so one person had to climb over to get into bed. The sofa springs had gone so the sitting area was not comfortable, the carpet is very faded and the bathroom while clean was very basic. We stayed a couple of nights and the cups and glasses we had used were not cleaned during the room service, the tea and coffee was not replenished.
there is building work and our room had a view of construction barriers rather than country views.
While the hotel is old and that is its charm the furnishings and facilities in the room need a radical overhaul for what is an expensive room rate even taking into account that Norway is expensive. Previous nights in Stavanger were much cheaper in a lovely hotel with many facilities.

The Hotel is very nice looking and historical. The decoration is very nice.
The mattress was too thin and soft, and slid on the spring box. I had to adjust it a couple of time during the night.
Also the pillows had a strange smell that I could not identify but which I disliked. However they looked clean.

The hotel is very nice, in a historic building, unfortunately too close to the road. Breakfast was good. And we could have dinner in a small separate room, although two marriages were going on at the same time.
Although our room was big, the furniture in the room was minimalist: only one armchair, no other chair, no wardrobe or anything to hang clothes or even a jacket - this was really annoying and not at all comfortable. The bathroom was nice though.

The staff
The noise of the music from there gala party we ended up moving rooms for the second time as the heater had broken in the first room we stayed in, on the last night we stayed there was a wedding party, unfortunately we had a noisy neighbor's from their party talking very loudly and slamming doors to which I had to have words.
