Excellent location! Great hotel for families and furry family too. A bit tired in places but overall really good! Our daughter loved the pool and soft play and the breakfast was great so much choice! Restaurants were pricey but I think that's just the way of it now.
Pool area needs a bit more cleaning and freshening up. But overall we loved it!

The breakfast was good and the food in the evenings.
The swimming pool was great for the kids.
The bar in hotel was only open on one of the nights and didn’t have any beer left. It would’ve been good to have somewhere within hotel to get a drink and to sit and also to get ice & fill up water bottles.

Location was good
Swimming pool changing room was atrociously filthy
Soft play area was not kept to a safety standard
Bars was not open during the evening
Staff felt inexperienced, slow and had no customer care.

I love Aviemore and the hotel was also lovely
Sadly as a single mum of two young kids I was alone on the corridor with just young men almost 15 of them in-between! No other families around! I felt really scared and I didn't sleep the first night! Please keep that in mind for other single parents when you give them their rooms!

Room was nice and clean. Young boy on reception was lovely, nice and friendly with my sons. Didn’t catch his name but was from Edinburgh and only been there a few weeks.

Location
Bar in hotel closed, no place available onsite to eat evening meal, staff attitude poor.

Was in a good location
The room could do with a refresh. Particularly in the bathroom where the silicone has come away from the tiles. The sofa beds were not particularly comfortable and the door lets in too much light from the corridor.
It would have been good if they could have an evening restaurant or buffet instead of the expensive restaurant on the other side of the resort.
Definitely needs some improvements aesthetically as it looks a bit tired.

On site Tesla supercharger. That's about the only reason I stayed here.
Staff were great.
Very dated decor and low quality furniture and fittings throughout.

Switched to Highland Hotel, great for bar and restaurant
Aviemore hotel looked aged

Staff were friendly, grandchildren enjoyed the pool
Lack of staff, rooms not being cleaned, couldn't get into restaurants as again no staff. Leisure facilties & rooms dirty, no contingency when activities rained off. They did not seem bothered when asked about it

Swimming pool, kids disco, play area for kids
Dreadful place, atmosphere wasn't cheery, just wasn't welcoming, soft play area was like a sad place to sit and trying to smile while kids were running around. Cafe at soft play area didn't have any music on, no cakes, poor choice of coffees and drinks.
Staff in general was more interested being on their phone then actually on guests.
Cinema was playing movies at the same time as disco.. Which has to choose one of it... Which could be organised better.
There was no fun, the only smiling people/staff and engaging were at the disco.
This place have such a great opportunity for being a fun place to stay but it's lacking of energetic, bubbly fun people.

Lots to do for the kids
Staff were busy talking on the phone when you were in the reception.
English was poor with staff members.
Dated and old furnishing.

Good location, bathrooms modernised, staff great and breakfast excellent.
Pricey in the restaurants and not worth the money for the food on offer, better value in Aviemore Main Street a few hundred yards away, corridors quite dowdy. Outside windows covered in moss and dirt.

Great location!
Room was clean and comfortable. Decor was outdated but that was expected as per the pictures.
The resort was really big and spacious but the weather was so hot we didn’t spend much time in the hotel - we went to loch morlich.
Breakfast was lovely and good selection.
All staff were lovely and helpful.
Pool facility was great.
If you are staying for one night like us, check in is quite late in order to be able to use the facilities like the pool before it closes and be able to go back your room.
The children’s play park needs a bit of maintenance.

The location
It's so old and needs refurbishment. The toilets don't have any exhaust (at least didn't work). So I had to finish my perfume every time someone used it.

It was clean, everything was a short walk away. there is lots of children to do, the pool was great with the toys and floats etc available and the soft play and play park were great.
only had breakfast in the hotel and it was nice. with small children we felt restaurants opening at 6 was too late by time would get fed so we went out each night.
It could do with some updating. Also, we had to request to move room as there was so much furniture in the room my 2 children (4 & 1) and ourselves kept falling over everything. In the small bedroom there was a double bed, 2 single beds a cot, 2 arm chairs, a round table, a desk and chair.
Most staff were friendly but came across 3 rude individuals - 1 on reception and think he realised and tried to be nicer.

Breakfast had plenty of choices both hot and cold.
The dining room tables and chairs have certainly seen better days. The table tops have a mottled look due to half of it missing. It makes the tables look unclean and they are in fact sticky to the touch which is quite off putting.
The chairs are old and look as if they have been picked up from jumble sales at various locations.
The gardens and outside of property require attention. Weeds on patio and paint flaking off outside walls. Obviously little or
no maintenance taking place.

slides and wave machine not working. we were not informed of this in advance and as it was a beautiful day we would have gone else where had we known, a big disappointment to our grandson who was looking forward to the slide an wave machine.

The Pool, the lifeguard was very nice, the lady a reception was very rude. Irrelevant to the hotel rating you don’t want people to rude to you.
The lady at reception at the pool, the building we were in looked in looked like a bad housing estate. The floor was up in reception as they were having a problem with the sewage. You would not get this at the four seasons. I really would like a refund it was so bad.

Choice of menu wasn’t to good, meal deal of £25 was designed for you pick lower than the price or higher, depending how big eater you were.
The starter I picked was forgotten, don’t understand why, the restaurant only had 8 people in it.

liked the location, friendly staff and delicious food

we were given a free upgrade which was great. I think this was because the hotel was quiet.
shame that not all facilities open although this was stated as a potential thing on booking.
Tried to phone hotel in advance and rang for 6 min and no reply. Tried to call reception from the room in the evening but no reply to that either.

Swimming pool was good fun wasn't told we had to book in advance. Fiona was lovely chatty friendly & knew her job .x
Breakfast area old tired looking .no table covers on tables dirty looking .no fresh fruit ie ..apples bananas yogurt for the kids .Room , bulbs missing in ceiling need painting looked old and dirty .door frame broken in room x shower leaked onto floor when in it .Bar prices where you start no wonder the bar was empty..no pool table ?? TV was on but i wouldn't call that to be entertained. Can't get through on phone anytime to talk to someone to book food reservations then you talk to a robot .the fork app is impossible to use even staff commented how bad it was . Must state that you don't mention at anytime on booking into hotel do you need to book things In advance .More hassle than it's worth I say .

Nothing

Soft play, pool, good breakfast, nice food at aspect restaurant. Rooms good even if there wasn't a divide for a family of 3
Giovannis food was disappointing, food felt microwaved. For the kids menu dont call chicken nuggets pollo milanese to make it sound more italian. Staff didn't always understand what we were asking for or seem that enthusiastic. Would have been good to know what's on ie cinema, activities etc before our booking as we then couldn't change plans but the activities sounded really good

Location, lots to do for the children, great weather helped! Room was clean and comfortable although a bit small for four of us! Food was great
Chaos with booking tables for evening meals. Had tried to book in advance, party size was wrong each night despite us having email records but no one returned our emails. Staff did the best to try and resolve this for us but so many people in the same position as us
