Very handy to get to as it is situation just off the main road and has ample parking. The hotel has a spa which they managed to fit us in with at very last minute. The hotel has a very nice feel to it and has a variety of rooms to relax in outside of the room.
The staff are amazing. Very accommodating and they are clearly very good at their job. They made our stay a million times better.
It does not have a secure, indoor space to keep bicycle - just an outside rack. However, the staff were very accommodating, moved us to a downstairs room and allowed us to keep our bikes in the room.

No complementaries in the bathroom… shampoo etc
A very dry haddock for breakfast that was slapped on the plate with no garnish whatsoever

We didn’t have breakfast this time.
£30 for two sounded very expensive for a breakfast. Especially when we are not big eaters
3.4
Excellent, friendly staff
Music in corridors and everywhere else.
Very tired decor in the room, carpet was vacuumed but desperately needed steam cleaning or replacing.
No WiFi or phone signal at all in my room or another that I tried on the second floor. No use to me when staying as a business traveller. I left the hotel a day early.

Food served was excellent
Hotel looking tired, it's being renovated but room 58 we saw that was done had poor workmanship.

Staff are excellent that's what makes this hotel a pleasant stay. there is room for improvement with general appearance but given the pandemic there is probably not the money available to make the improvements saying that the room and general hotel clean so would I stay again yes. I travel all over with work and stay away frequent and would rate this hotel good for location and price.

Good location
I was given a disabled room. Not problem but the shower bar on the wall for a able person was missing. It would have been nice to be told that I would be having a disabled room.
3.4
staff very pleasant
room could have been cleaner.
dust on window sill
dust on all bathroom unit (lower end)
dust on skirting boards
lift
shower in bath very old fashioned.

Staff very helpful room was so comfortable and clean.
Bit of an eary way to get to the room through a damp walkway if you wasnt taking the lift.

Had a Dance Weekend at the hotel and the ballroom was excellent. Extended stay Sunday and Monday night which was a big mistake.
Hotel is still following Covid rules as far as cleaning is concerned. The result is the room was not very clean as staff have little time between guest stays to carry out a deep clean and the room is not cleaned whilst guests are staying. The carpet was embedded in dust and if you sat on the sofa clothing was covered in fluff.
I don’t recommend staying in the hotel if you are not attending an event as any music playing in the ballroom can be heard in the bedrooms.

Breakfast - the STAFF only. The breakfast itself very overpriced
Customer service very poor. Strange noises in the night which woke us up at 2am. Hotel refused any liability and suggested I was lying when I complained in writing.
Pool freezing and not clearly stated not ‘officially’ open until June… instead said closed for winter months. FYI, April is not winter. The sun was beaming and many people in bathing suits at the beach.

Very good service from reception to restaurant, Friendly, polite and helpful, food was very nicely cooked and presented, all round pleasant visit

it was very clean and the staff were so lovely and amazing
nothing except some features of the water being a bit dirty

Overall a lovely hotel, stylish and great value.
Friendly staff, good food, good size twin room. Only slight improvement could be the bathroom - the panelling/decor was a little tired. Better value and more stylish than the Premier Inn, with breakfast included!
3.4
location, price, staff
Beds far too low, uncomfortable

The character of the building, very interesting.
Staff seemed short staff running the restaurant and bar. Service was great though, didn’t affect our evening we felt sorry for the lady of staff who seemed very run off her feet on her own.

Great hotel, great location. Will definitely come back again.

Brilliant room, very modern and clean. Comfortable bed and facilities were perfect. Breakfast was lovely and hot and plenty of it.

The room was absolutely beautiful with the spa bath
There wasn't anything we didn't like

Nothing, will never stay here again and would not advice people to stay there.
False information about the hotel. Food was awful, the bed was the worst I've slept in. They messed up our beauty treatments so we never got any and it was for my mums birthday. Not very clean. Our bath had black line around the bath where someone obviously hasn't cleaned it since the last person bathed.
