We enjoyed the Mexican dinners, we did not like at all the one Italian dinner we had. We enjoy the breakfasts and the little restaurant bb the pool.
The menu was a little like the "Olive Garden" with all the typical dishes of Italian-american recipes.

The pool is hot and dirty … no filter to clean and if you’re going to book ocean view it’s a scam!!! I had the worst view only facing pool nd trees terrible !

The pool area was awesome! More than enough seating around the pool and in the lounging area. The infinty pool was great. Breathtaking view from our corner suite. Bell hop staff was accommodating. The on-site store was a good perk.
1. Customer service was lacking. Very nice staff but a hands on customer service training is needed. Response time to requests was slow, and the hotel was nowhere near max capacity.
2. Food was horrible. 24-hour room service was a joke as well. Staff didn't half the time answer, and the food we did receive, i would not feed my dog less known eat myself. The only meal we somewhat enjoyed was breakfast. The rest of the time we ate away from the resort.
3. Towel linens are rough. Toilet tissue is mad cheap. The chairs around the pool need either a good cleaning or upgraded.
4. Poor staff monitoring. Premiere and adult areas need to be monitored well. If you pay more for Premiere, then people who did not, should not be allowed in those areas. And children should not be in ADULT ONLY areas either.
5. Alcohol choices are MEH and the tower bar is a waste of space. At least, have alcohol, music, food, and activity up there to make it worth the elevator ride up.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. I food was subpar, but I wasn't expecting a gourmet meal for all-inclusive so I didn't mind since I was drinking. Premium liquor, the pools were great, and the beach was right there so we were able to walk conveniently to feel the ocean waves. We even got henna on the beach! (paid of course) The live entertainment was fun but I did wish they went a bit later. During the day, it was cool enough to walk around outside of the resort so we visited a few boutiques near by and even went to Cabo San Lucas one of the days. I would definitely come back!
The food could have been better. Live entertainment/music could have went for a bit longer, they ended things around 10pm-12am depending on where you were. I also wish they included room service in all-inclusive, but it was only available for higher level guests.

There is a plenty of work happening behind the scene to make the customers feel comfortable and pleased and it pays off. The staff is so hardworking and incredibly pleasant, and each minor issue was resolved in no time. Great cooks in the hotel with a similar menu that the other AI hotel has but definitely better to taste. Swimming pools cleaned daily. Overall great hotel.
The pillows could have used a replacement as almost all were like trash. If you struggle with chronic back/neck pain, consider bringing your own one.

The food was so disgusting. The place looks so old.. it definitely needs an update. The whole staff was short. I would not stay here again. There is better places.

Barceló property and grounds were pretty, with placement right among the beach in lovely San Jose Del Cabo. The hotel decor, rooms, and amenities were beyond basic in decor and in serious need of some maintenance and an upgrade.
It seemed like this hotel was not equipped to handled the amount of business they were doing as it became obvious that they were rationing towels and wash cloths. When we arrived in our all inclusive for three people there was only one cloth and we had to practically beg for more linens towels and cloths each day. It takes away from the experience when you have to beg for basic items from the staff. Staff were also very slow to respond to any request and often had a hard time being able to understand or deliver upon simple requests. The food was basic to poor quality in the pool and grill areas and the bar staff was inattentive even at the pool. Being busy is one thing but any paying customer wants to feel like their money spent is worthwhile. Additionally their security was very rude to my family and shoes a lack of proper training. Yes, it’s affordable but you’re much better off staying somewhere else!

1. terrible Wi-Fi. always turning off, having to use different usernames and passwords couldn’t use my laptop consistently extremely frustrating
2. inconsistent housekeeping. everyday was different, never once had a day of everything. one day no hand towels, next day no face towels, one day shampoo no conditioner, next day no soap, etc
3. rarely locked the balcony door which I did not like
4. nightly entertainment was loud, had to keep balcony door closed
5. very difficult to reach reception from phone in room

Jr. Suite in the Premium level was outstanding. The drinks at the Premium pool and lounge are were top shelf.
The buffets were very average. The Italian restaurant was very good.

bad organisation, Internet very poor, food quite terrible at the main restaurants. I know they also have other restaurants which were probably better but with family we prefer buffet and this was really not good. rooms old. certainly not in line with expectations

The staff was friendly. Always saw people cleaning, the pool bar. The bed was comfortable. Multiple pools. Also the Spa. I was surprised with champagne and a cake for my birthday at the spa. Also was given a cake in my room. The pool bar snack lounge had the best food there.
The food wasn’t that great, the drinks hardly had any liquor in it. i had to keep asking for shots on the side. The excursions were booked up so I wasn’t able to do any while at my stay there. There is really no way to find out where everything is besides walking around the resort.

The staff was nice and accommodating for the most part.
cleanliness was subpar. they used a bucked to scoop out gross oily sludge from main pool, and I only saw it being properly cleaned once.
rooms smelled of mildew and really messed with my allergies.
the food left much to be desired, especially the snack bar.
room service seemed to be a joke because when you call the number it just rings and rings and then they tell you “no room service today”.
my biggest upset was finding a ROCK in my salad!
also I felt very underserved being an individual traveler. I wasn’t given a lot of information that other guests had to inform me of during my stay.
