Kettle in room with facility for making coffee/tea. Also hand shower in bathroom would be useful.
The breakfast selection could have been better.

Breakfast was nice. Location was great very close to a funicular and also not far into the main part of town to pick up tours etc
Lots of things could be improved I had booked a suite and what I got was a room. In the booking some of the things that were described as the room having that it did not Sea view(obscured by plants in place to shield from the adjacent room balcony), Landmark view, Sofa, Seating Area, Pants press, Private entrance (the door to the room!!!!), Iron, Heating, Additional toilet, Outdoor furniture. Was quite disappointed and added to that it was three flights of stairs down to the room and three or more flights of stairs back up to the bar and restaurant - that should be made clear. Housekeeping service was also not good did not get room serviced on one day and interestingly I smoked and the two adjacent rooms with balconies both had ash trays (never saw them use one) but even though I was using a tiny travel ash tray they never provided me with one.

great hotel arquitecture, location and restaurant.
I get there by car, and the Hotel does not explicitly says they don't have parking. I had to pay 2 full days of parking.!
The hotel is great, but my room (double superior) is not well isolated to the hall so no enough privacy.
Valparaiso is not safe anymore, need to be early at the hotel and don't go outside late.

My friend actually ended up staying here as she couldn't stay in the house I had booked due to a cat allergy - but i came to the Fauna hotel myself for lunch and drinks with her and also saw her room and bathroom.
I loved the hotel - it's both modern but rustic at the same time. The room was very simple but with a spectacular view and high ceilings with a lovely big bathroom.
The restaurant and bar is great - food and wine are excellent and, again, with great views.
My friend had no complaints!

Location & amazing view
Breakfast could have been more varied
4.5
The architecture is truly amazing and the view from our room was spectacular. The decoration in the room was also very nice. It's nice to explore the area by foot from the hotel and plenty of good restaurants and bars around. The wifi in the room didn't work, but they found a solution with a signal amplifier.
Although the restaurant is good, the breakfast was a little disappointing. Both in terms of food, but also the service and atmosphere. You can tell they are busy prepping the lunch in the restaurant and the breakfast almost feels like a side hustle :)

GREAT location; interesting and spotlessly clean rooms; rooftop bar was lovely
staff did not speak much English at all; we got rooms quite late (well after checkin time) and were not given late checkout despite our requests; storing luggage was a bit challenging (due to language); need to warn guests that there are no TVs and lots of stairs to haul luggage up/down
4.5
excellent location
too many stairs , no elevators for the rooms , no AC

I loved the panoramic view, the stylish building and the friendly staff. The food was good, too. But above all I appreciate that the beds were so comfortable, that I have the feeling I should have slept more.
My room smelled like sewage, even though I ventilated it for some hours during the aftenoon.

A staff member was very rude to me and nearly yelled at me for checking out late, although I had gotten permission to do so the day prior from another stage members. Noise carries across the thin walls making it difficult to get rest. Also, the wifi barely worked.

interesting design, great location, great restaurant
walls were very thin. not very clean just because the walls are made of stucco

Great location, excellent restaurant, breakfast with an amazing view. Rooms are very comfortable.
Shower could be better, long wait for the water to get warm and low pressure.

lovely renovated space within the walls of an old building. great view looking over the hills and the harbour. steps away from the elevator, if you don’t walk up the stairs.

Amazing location, architecture of the building, the view on the restaurant terrace, clean and comfortable, good breakfast, nice staff
No wifi available for most of my short stay
