Ok, but nothing special

The property had a nice garden, with a table tennis set which the owners put up for us before they left, and plenty of seating. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped and spacious. The owners has kindly left beer for us and juice for the kids in the fridge. The terrace overlooking the garden and the abandoned house opposite was also very nice, although it could have done with more tables for drinks and snacks. The owners had also left a really useful booklet their daughter had complied of things to do in the area, although I’d recommend you double check some of the details as one walk was described as 2k, but when we got there it was actually 4.5 hours (the one near the cave and monastery)

Although there were all the things in the property that you’d expect, they were all dated or low quality to start with. There had clearly been smokers in the property, and when we arrived the kitchen smelled very unpleasant, although that faded over the time we were there, the lingering odour of smoke never left the sofa. There were stickers on the fridge, the light switches, the toilet, the boiler, the dresser and so on which weren’t to our taste, but if you like the photos with the garden gnome, they might be to yours. The property description says you are 1k from a restaurant, which is true, but it’s a small establishment with three old men drinking outside, and not a place which looked inviting to a family. This meant that you either had to go into Veliko to eat, or cook for yourself, which was ok, but not what I was expecting every night.
