A beautiful location, surrounded by a stunning landscape and very friendly personnel. The breakfast was delicious and luxurious. The rooms were tidy and nice, and the property was authentic with old wooden stairs (beware of tripping), but beautifully renovated.
Couldn't think of anything. Just be aware that the road leading to and from the property is very steep in places, but it adds to the experience in my opinion.

Breakfast was great Alexandra most pleasant and efficient. Breakfast was very good. Wish we could have stayed longer as it’s such a lovely part of Italy.
All good

This region high up in the hills north of Milano and facing the Alps in the distance was the only really calm spot along our journey from Sweden down to Italy and then back again. And this was particularly lucky since we had apparently caught the corona virus on coming down (probably in Miniature Wonderland in Hamburg) and so the peace and quiet was well needed.
The girl who served us breakfast and took care of the place was most accommodating. Also we enjoyed the company of the big, cuddly cat which seemed to belong to the yard as did the other three cats.
The breakfast was excellent apart from one detail this being the bread which became very dry towards the end of our stay. But all the other items were first class and interesting as most of it had been retrieved from a local farm somewehere in the region.
Nothing that I can think of except that which I have already mentioned.

Wonderful place: pastoral setting surrounded by vineyards and trees , the flat was clean and well kept. The staff was welcoming and helpful, they provided whatever we asked and more. Fully recomended.
The road to the place was a bit uneasy.

Location is great, close to big cities but La Costa is really a nice relaxing place. The host is very friendly. We will definitely come back, for tasting the wine but also for walking.
The road towards la Costa is not always easy...:-)...

Beautiful location, away from it all. Sounds of birdsong in the morning.
A lovely place to stay where you are left to get on with what you want to do.
A pleasant breakfast.
Nothing really. You must have a car to get here though

Great place, welcoming hosts and staff ready to help you with anything, I needed a place to sleep for a worktrip conveniently located very close to Milan, Lecco, Como lake so it can settle many needs. Lovely oasis of nature and peace. Will go back and stay longer to check all the trails nearby!

It’s a difficult one. The room was really clean, rustic and nice, also in a beautiful location. But as a couple we felt we entered families’ territory: there are two big apartments being rented and the families were really noisy, with many kids constantly running up and down stairs and screaming. We did not sleep well.
Sadly the restaurant of the guesthouse is closed on Mondays but they recommended an outstanding restaurant 15min drive away - Brut Merate. A must visit place for foodies!
When we arrived for breakfast, we found a small bowl of muesli, 12 raspberries, 2 pieces of tart and 3 biscuits on the table. Disappointing. The host explained this was their “Italian” breakfast. However we had travelled in Italy for 2 weeks and never had a breakfast without cheese and meat! We asked for some savoury food and the host said that there was a booklet in our room which said that if you want a savoury breakfast, you need to “pre-order” in advance! We were shocked, she didn’t mention it when we checked in. We went to our room, found the booklet (in Italian) and there was no mention of this “pre-order” of breakfast. Anyway we asked for cheese and eventually received some nice cheese and cold meat (great quality) but had to literally chase the host for coffee and bread top up - she never came and asked if we needed anything. We did not feel welcome.
Also note that if you book through booking.com, breakfast is not included - you will have to pay €10 each for this “Italian” breakfast.
Location was a bit tricky - there is a narrow road to the place but honestly if the service was good we wouldn’t have minded.
All in all we will not come back.

- Amazing place in the mountain area
- Restaurants (for the weekends) nearby (two are even on the hill)
-The Hiking trail starts right at the residence
Many additional services like a kicker table, a small swimming pool for the summer etc - all outside!
- Basically no check-in, we did not really know what to do, had no introduction to the area. According to the owner, it was due to a big marriage celebration before. This is absolutely fine, but then: Please inform your guests beforehand and don't leave them completely clueless for days!
Interestingly, on the third day of our stay we finally met the owner who's first question was who we are (not in a very charming way) and second question "you're leaving today, right?" while we've actually had one more day to stay. This did not feel too much as a warm way of welcoming one's guests. Even after meeting the owner, she didn't ask us how the stay was so far or whether we'd like to have a (late, but it's never too late) walk around the place with her. At the end of the day, we simply didn't really feel welcome, rather a tiny bit like intruders. This definitely has to be improved in my point of view.

La Costa’s hospitality was simply amazing, the breakfast, my goodness, pure heaven!!! The food at the restaurant for that matter too, wow, this place is the Italian dream come true. The family running this place clearly lives up to its standards an its mission and vision. And last but not least, the pets were a delight. Cute dogs and cats, what’s not to love? We will definitely be back!
