The room was good for the price. It was clean and the pool was nice too. The hotel is very close to Kamala beach. There is a bakery at 2 min walk from the hotel, they had really good food.

I would have liked it more if they had glass to separate the shower area instead of a curtain but other than that, nothing to complain about.

worth the money

swimming pool, nice size rooms and very clean

above my room (2401) was all the air con h it’s I think and I could hear them but on the last night I think one was broken and kept me up all night. I couldn’t contact anyone and when I mentioned it in the morning they laughed. I don’t they understood but the rest of the stay was all good so I let it go :)

Big comfortable beds. Good sized room . Very clean. Good wifi.

Pool area & outdoor areas were run down. The pool area doesn't look like the photos. Balcony really small. Not in a great area. Little expensive for what you get.

Quiet and good value for money.

Enjoyed my stay at Sungthong the location was quiet and a short walk to kamala town. There was a bakery only 5 mins from hotel for excellent breakfast. The swimming pool was never busy so got a seat for swimming and enjoying the sun.

Bed leaned a little on the right side of mattress.

Room was value for money, Mr T was extremely helpful, one other member of staff not so much , be aware there is a 3% service charge to use a credit card. hotel is quiet and away from busy area, it is however a little tied in its decor and would benefit from a spruce up.

friendly staff, super clean and comfortable room, but facilities not like shown in Booking.com

staff is super friendly and helpful. the location is handy as it is close to the big supermarket. the room was very clean and comfortable. nice balcony to chill out. you get 2 bottles of water for free every day, which was very nice.

we actually stayed in another building of the hotel, which was not indicated on booking or google maps. The swimming pool was not in operation (unlike as shown in booking). In the bathroom there were no hooks for towels, not very handy. The room does not get very dark to sleep.

Location. Round the corner from the beach. Lovely coffee shop across the road or bakery for breakfast the otherside of the supermarket next door.

You get what you pay for.

The hotel is split in two locations not far from one another. Our room was in the new building right next to the Big C supermarket and road that led down to the beach. Rooms were spacious with plenty of hot water. 10 mins walk to the beach. Staff were lovely. Bakery right next door for breakfast.

No card machine so they wanted payment in cash, no prior warning was given. We had constant problems with our safety deposit box, but the staff were very quick to sort it out each time. As mentioned, the hotel is split over two sites, and there’s only a pool at one of the sites - the older hotel - and honestly it didn’t look very inviting. We didn’t use it.

Location to the beach was good Staff were helpful and kind

The room was underwhelming, quite a lot of details we didn't expect staying at a resort, the mirror has tape on it to hold it up, cobwebs and dust behind the bed lights, scuffs/marks on the sofa bed and broken wood, one bed side table was broken completely. Bathroom was dirty, shower curtain was grubby and the grout in-between the tiles hadn't been cleaned in years, the shower caddy was rusty and dirty. Bedding smelled old in general don't think it's been replaced since 2019, the whole building/lift had a really strong perfume smell to cover up lack of cleanliness. On the whole it needs a big clean and a revamp in a lot of places. We didn't even use the pool as although it looked clean and nice we didn't trust it after the state of the rest of the resort. Wasn't exactly cheap either in comparison to other guesthotels we've stayed at and had a much better experience in.
