Great place to stay, all the amenities and equipment you'd need for self catering etc. Amazing lush garden with swing chair perfect to relax in the evenings.. This is also where the breakfast is served by Carol Ann and her small team and the breakfast every morning was simply amazing.. Served in fresh air, different every morning, delicious every time..highly recommended. The house is also very close to some great locations to visit, especially worth mentioning the Batibou Beach.

The breakfasts in the morning were exceptional. Every day something different and all very tasty enjoyed on the verandah in the tropical gardens.
Lack of air con made the room a little hot, but it was manageable with ceiling fans.

We had a lovely stay. Set in lush surroundings with a view of the sea, we warmly recommend the Jacoway Inn for your stay. The host Carol Ann will make you feel at home with her warm and energetic style and help you find your way around. The location is close to a number of beautiful places such as the red rocks or several beaches.

Everything! The owner was great and super fun to chat with about the island and life in general. We stayed in the traditional old wooden house which was perfect for us. Wonderful breakfast as well!

Breakfasts were delicious. View into the garden from the balcony was lovely. The area of Calibishie is a real gem to visit especially for anyone who has read Black and White Sands.

We stayed in a very cute and quaint refurbished traditional Dominican wooden cottage, which had an added kitchen and bathroom. The location was excellent in which to see the north of the island. The host, Carol Ann, was extremely friendly and helpful. AND she was a fabulous cook who served sumptuous breakfasts each morning!
The was a bit of a musty smell when we first arrived.

I had no idea I booked an entire cottage, but who cares because it ended up being one of the coolest, most atmospheric places I've stayed in all my years of travel. The mountainside setting in lush tropical gardens cannot be beat, and the cottage itself was over 100 years old and beautiful. The host, Carol Ann, is one of the main reasons to stay here, and we made a life-long friend in our brief, one-night stay.
I think virtually all accommodation in Dominica warrants a rental 4WD, which we had. Nor sure you could reach this place any other way.

The breakfast was perfect. Carol was kind enough to ask us about our preference. Sure enough, she prepared what we wanted and we enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast in the garden.
For the price, the place exceeded my expectations. The host was very hospitable and was very understanding when we told her that we would arrive later than expected.

Fantastic stay at Jacoway Inn and highly recommended place to base if you want to explore the NE and North coast of Dominica. Host Carol is super welcoming and hospitable and her breakfasts are legendary. Seriously! Strong ceiling fans, fulling equipped kitchen, and comfy bed with lots of pillows. Fast, reliable WiFi. If you have a car, you're good to go. But if you're like me and on foot, also no problem, just be ready for some epic walks with each destination worth the effort. From Calibishie, you can visit Batibou Beach (about an hour walking) and simply one of the best beaches in the Caribbean. You can also walk 30 minutes and be at Red Rocks (gorgeous, otherwordly rocks on the sea) and the beach below at Pointe Baptiste. Don't miss the chocolate factory there also! The bars and restaurants are great along Calibishie's flat (the main road along the sea). There's a working ATM (but don't rely on it 100%) at A&A Low Price Center. Mini-vans go both ways (to Marigot and the airport) and to Portsmouth ($5 EC) and then connect to Roseau ($10 EC). Highly recommended rural Dominica stay!

A lovely quiet place with a nice balcony overlooking the lush greens of Dominica and it's beautiful ocean! Carol was very responsive and provided us with a very tasty breakfast on a nice little pacio. It was very nice and breezy at night so we slept like babies 😍
We missed some kitchen utensils, such as a sharp knife and a good pan. But apart from that the kitchenette was very well equipped.

Carol Ann was a delightful host. Excellent breakfasts, great recommendations for exploring Dominica. We stayed in the stop flat which had a great view out to the sea.
There was nothing we didn’t like about our stay.

In 1 month of travelling through the Caribbean islands "Jacoway Inn" was def. our favourite pick. We loved it so much there that we even extended and thanks to Carol-Ann we felt like at home from the 1st minute. The view towards Guadeloupe in the morning, the incredible sunsets and the nature around us was just stunning. The breakfast time in the morning became one of our highlights of the day, Carol-Ann surprised us every morning with absolutely awesome breakkies. Thanks you again for that.
Nothing, everything was just perfect and we will come back one day.

Fantastic host, really great breakfast (good coffee!), perfect spot to start or end a Dominica-Tour if you are arriving at the northern airport.

The host did her best to accommodate our restrictive eating habits. She does advertise "vegan" on the booking website, but admitted not knowing what to cook in e mails prior to us arriving. The site is beautiful, but nowhere near anything. A car rental is essential to stay at this location
The host charged us for eating at her property for 14 nights/days, however we were not there for the entire rental. We only stayed at this property for 5 nights total. We did ask for a refund of some sort, but was told that because we had prepaid for the booking, that it was impossible for a refund. (I wasn't expecting a refund on the nights booked for the room, but a refund for the meals added to the booking would have been prudent) This property is no where near where most of what we wanted to do on the island. The noise from crickets/beetles is very annoying, and there is little to no soundproofing in this unit. (this is compared with another stay we had on the island in a very similar if not nosier area) The cooling comes from fans that circulate air (not air conditioning), which is fine, but along with the outside noise, the fan noise makes it impossible to sleep without earplugs. (even for one of us that can sleep through anything) Probably the biggest disappointment for this particular property is that there is NO hot water!!! Not in the kitchen sink, and not in the shower. I did not sign up for COLD showers for 2 weeks. This was not addressed in anyway by the host.
