the cottage closest to the entry is by far the best on site with better privacy than the other cottages. The cottage was tidy and comfortable. It included a bbq as well as a kitchen with utensils and cookware, great if you wanted to show off your culinary skills. The bathroom was large and spacious and the view from the master bedroom/bathroom was also impressive. I would absolutely stay again.
The toilet was not separate and was open to the rest of the bedroom. So if privacy while using a toilet is important. the other person will have to leave the bedroom and close the door. The front cottage was more secluded compared to the others, however it should be noted that it is closer to the road. You will notice the odd truck if you're outside. However the road noise was barely noticeable inside. I would say these are minor issues only.

No breakfast
Booked in to 2 Bedroom place. Spoke to owner 2 days prior to visit and confirmed that we needed 2 bedrooms. On arrival only a 1 bedroom place was organised. We were then offerred the ?farm house which was not luxury in any shape or form. The farm house had not been dusted as we were not expected there. the windows were dirty, Chairs were falling apart, television not working properly and no milk available. The cleaner attended but was also unable to work the television,

excellent location and the small touches such as toilet air freshener, nice coffee, books to read and olive oil for cooking makes such a difference from the norm.
only down side was we didn’t get the information about access to the cabin before we arrived. But this was sorted out quickly.

Beautiful location, the riverside walk and play area is great. Extremely clean, and simply a relaxing place to unwind. Carolyn the Cleaner bends over backwards to ensure all visitors feel welcome and their needs are met. She is an asset to Barrington Riverside Cottages!
Wifi didn’t work at all. however Carolyn tried her most to resolve the issue

A very comfortable cottage in a beautiful rural farm setting right beside the river.
Some milk for tea would have been nice - although I appreciate that this is a self-catering accommodation.

Size of the superior villa/tori farmhouse, great for families, location to Barrington tops national Park quality of beds and linen, excellent cooking facilities and utensils. Great undercover outdoor area, excellent air con and fans (we have few days in high 34degrees) firewood provided, some basic kitchen cleaning products supplied. Beautiful outlook, with large windows and sliding doors
4th bedroom is actually in a loft with steep staircase, which I didn't realise, so bit challenging for us 64 yo's. But comfortable and had fan. 2nd bathroom shower over ath leaked(owner apologetic re inconvenience and was going to address) large outdoor table needed clean, but no wipes etc available... we had paper towel. Not as close to the river as we hoped, o hard to get kayaks to river, other smaller cottages were bit closer. Need a little information booklet, I.e. where compost bin is etc

The property was comfortable for our weekend stay.
There was no air conditioner in bedroom. The fan wasn’t enough when the weather is hot.

great location, loved the uninterrupted view, very clean and comfortable
could have benefitted from having a couple of kitchen towels.

very clean, great communal kitchen, good for a group or families
our hot water didn’t work, we discovered it didn’t work Friday night so we had to wait till Saturday afternoon to have it fixed. Property had changed owners the day before so we turned up at reception and no one was there

Location and quality of accommodation.
Had a change of ownership and we did get the farm experience with the kids we had booked and paid for.

this would be a great idea for a couple of families catching up. the cottages are far enough away from each other that it gives each other privacy and then with the communal area, it’s a great idea
no tissues or those little milk pods

Relaxing and you can do as much or as little as you wanted to.
My daughter enjoyed spending time with the animals and we enjoyed going for the short walks around the property.
The mud, but saying that we all still had a great time and it was good to see the area so green. It didn't stop us from doing anything we would have normally done.

Excellent location, quiet and peaceful and super friendly hosts.
WiFi wasn’t consistent, even after rebooting we had no service all night.
Perhaps some milk could be provided for coffee.

peace and quiet, no phones
On the first night just after the sun had set, there was a mass invasion of crawling insects. used a whole can of insect spray that was not really suited for the insect

the location was brilliant, the fact that the place was not booked out really helped us to relax.
lack of phone reception only for contact with a family member apart from that was perfect

Absolutely fantastic family getaway with luxury cabin accommodation. The kids loved the animals and swimming and kayaking in the river and the amenities like communal kitchen and fire pit are first class. The owners are really friendly and take time to show you around and answer all of your questions. Great holiday destination!

The views of the mountain and the location is very quiet with lots of space outside. The communal kitchen space was very well equipped with every detail thought through. The cottage was clean, tidy and the bed was comfy after a very long drive from Sydney.
The (Mardi cottage) dining area and layout was smaller than what I expected as we were a party of 4 adults plus our dog which meant we stayed outdoors more and used the communal facility. The balcony could have been a bit longer which would have made our stay more comfortable given there were a couple of days that were rainy. The farm area is next to the only pet friendly cottage which is just poor design, however our dog was more curious of the goats and the alpacas than anything else. Otherwise, it is an okay place to stay for a few days based on the rates.

The location and amenities were fabulous. We loved swimming in river and lazing on the deck overlooking the river. The accommodation was extremely well equipped and spotlessly clean. The hosts Mel and Ian were so friendly and helpful. An excellent stay for family, friends and couples. We will definitely be back.
Nothing.

Loved the view from the cabin and how close it was to the river. Waking up to the sound of the river flowing was just magic.
