Beautiful heritage property sympathetically restored. Great staff.
The room originally booked was noisy and we were relocated to the Chinese room (superb). Potential guests should note that Hereen Street is busy on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights (when Jonkers Street market opens).

The room is big, aircon is strong too. Very good location too. Breakfast is good too except the coffee was disappointed. Have a few private parking lot which is good for those driving. Overall the stay was good, comfortable. Will consider to stay here when going to Melaka. They are one of the few good ones at Jonker walk.
The room doesnt have curtains for certain rooms facing the Jonker walk. Some of them may like it, but not for us. The toilet's sprinkler was leaking, made the dry area wet.

very historical, a beautiful property, extremely spacious with that strong sense of heritage to it. not crowded and crammed full of rooms like other hotels. will definitely stay there again.
stayed in room 3, sadly the room has massive windows facing the stairs and office style blinds are provided instead of curtains so no matter how u adjust them, guest could still look into the room from certain angles. but that’s a very small matter. still thoroughly loved my stay!

The hotel is nice but the breakfast is extremely poor. The TV did not have the international TV channels. Therefore the use of the TV was not good.
New design of the hotel.

*building is beautifully. very spacious
*comfortable bed
*location
*quiet
*air condition and wifi work well
*breakfast is fine
*we requested 2 extra hand towels (the hotel provided 1). This request was denied after the front desk consulted with”supervisor “. We were told that we could exchange used hand towel with a fresh one. However, we could not have 2 extra hand towels.
*the Front Desk gentleman helped carry one of our luggage up 2 flights of stairs and showed us how to turn on the lights, and air conditioning . He also showed us the balcony. However, he did not mentioned that we had to flip a switch on the wall to turn on the hot water. This missed information resulted in a cold shower and a phone call to get someone to fix the “no hot water“ issue.
* hot water was available for about 3 minutes. Then you got cold water. Could not take long hot showers.
* For our 2nd day, we were asked to select our breakfast choices among the menu since a buffet breakfast would not be available . We did. The next day, the breakfast lady had no idea on one of our selections. Eventually, she prepared close to what was ordered.

The location is great. 5mins walk to Jonker street.
The room is clean and well maintained. Very comfortable stay.
There is noise from the wooden floor when we walked over it. Kind of noisy especially at night.

The staff were helpful and friendly and the location is amazing. We walked everywhere we wanted to go in the local area and found wonderful restaurants and shops.
The hotel is beautiful and this historic area is lovely
It wouldn't be suitable for anyone with disabilities.
We needed to ask for the wifi access

Under staffed, not able to provide basic requests like plates despite a kitchen, delayed check in etc

It's an experience to stay in such an old traditional building. The decorations good.
The next building is vacant.

Cosy room. Strategic location. Water pressure was really good. TV channel selection was good with Netflix & YouTube options. Private parking available.
The room we got was facing the road so it got quite noisy with the traffic right outside. Difficult to sleep through all that noise. Breakfast was quite disappointing.

Being peranakan (nyonya baba) originality and location, the place was sympathetically restored and provide spacious room but lacking in “lived in” aura.
lacking the peranakan personalities and personnels. Breakfasts were far below standard.

location
too pricey for the standard of hotel with little facilities, no windows to look outside and lousy breakfast

Great location and Mr Aaron at reception gave the stay a very personal touch right from the welcome, opening doors and all of the assistance he gave. We stayed at the Parameswara Suite which was extremely spacious, clean and the bathroom was fantastic.
The traffic noise in rooms 201 and 202 is quite bad, some sound proofing of the windows would make a difference and quite a few mosquitoes at breakfast

Everything is great. As we come on Monday we don’t have issue with parking, but for breakfast it’s not buffet style so we only can request food that we want. Nevertheless it’s good to avoid waste.
We love that the water heater works perfectly well and we can also adjust the air conditioner temperature. The room is so clean spacious and the design is unique. In future we want to try parameswara room.
Staffs are super helpful and friendly. All of them. Thank you!
Just the breakfast could add more variety
