het was ok

very friendly, clean, quite and reasonably priced.
Room very cluttered with knick knacks, cushions and extraneous bits and pieces which made it less spacious than it could have been. Poly cotton bed linen and slightly dodgy decor. Also, a long way from anywhere nice to eat - we walked about 20 mins each way in the cold.

Zeer net, lekker ontbijt, heel vriendelijk, we gaan er nog terug
Een beetje meer ruimte voor een zetel

Very nice place and friendly owner
Our room at the top floor was very small. The “wardrope” was a a joke.

Location by the vineyards
4.3
Patio. Vineyard view.
Breakfast.
4.3
Excellent host, very welcoming. Our room was comfortable and we enjoyed the outside space. Delicious breakfast included.
Nothing to dislike.
4.3
Quiet location on the edge of town. Good sized room.
The hostess was a little fussy, but I assume that this is because it is her private home. I was a little uncomfortable in her company. There are no toiletries in the bathroom, and no tea - only herbal infusions. Be aware if you have allergies, that this is a dog friendly establishment. Dogs are allowed in the bedrooms.
4.3
Beautiful location with bedroom views of the vines. Attentive host.Very clean property and rooms very comfortable with great bathrooms . Breakfast delicious and would stay here again
Everything was fabulous

checking in too late and unnecessarily complicated

Pleasant owner
The bed was too small and the steps were too steep

looking over the rows of vines from a very comfortable room.

We had such a lovely stay in this beautiful, house in Champagne, which backs on to a vineyard and has secure, gated parking in the garden. Chantal and her husband were exceptionally welcoming and friendly and we were treated like V.I.P.s from arrival until departure.
The house is spotlessly clean and exceptionally comfortable. We both slept like logs. The ensuite bathroom was large and well-equipped and the shower was very powerful.
Breakfast was a traditional French breakfast mix of breads, pastries, confitures, yoghurts, fruit, fruit juice, tea/coffee. We were offered a large selection of fine teas from which to choose. Delicious!
Chantal is a very charming woman and super friendly. It was a pleasure to meet her. She made our stay an absolute delight. We will certainly return and stay for longer next time and we would wholeheartedly recommend Au Couer de Vignes.
Everything was perfect.

A special place to stay in a special location. Central to everything in Epernay. The hostess was truly marvellous and engaging to make sure we were looked after to ensure our stay was truly memorable. Thank you!
Nothing apart from our stay being too short!!!
4.3
We loved our stay here. Chantal was an amazing host. Great room, comfortable and an amazing view and patio of the vineyard. The location was perfect and our car was secure behind a locked gate.

Our room and bathroom were very clean.
Breakfast was nice.
We were originally asked to arrive between 6pm and 8 pm which was unreasonably late for us after a long journey. We were told that the host would not be there and that she needed one hours' notice ahead of our arrival. She turned up at 5.30pm.
Then we were told that new (light beige) carpets had been fitted in the bedroom and that we had to remove our shoes! There were even No Shoe signs on the stairs going up to our bedroom.
My wife and I have never ever been instructed to remove our shoes (unless they were extremely dirty or muddy of course, in which case we would have done that ourselves out of common courtesy). I would suggest to our host that if she wants to have new carpets, she chooses a darker colour!
After a nice breakfast and literally as we were leaving she asked us to reconfirm our details ( when she already had them) saying it was to confirm our stay with Booking.com. We had been away for a month, staying in a variety of accommodations, and never been asked to do that. It was all very uncomfortable and we left there feeling very aggrieved for all the reasons stated above.
Judging by others previous positive reviews (one of the reasons we booked there) perhaps we were just oversensitive- but I dont believe we were. This is the longest " didnt like" review I have ever written and we still have a bad memory of the place. We will be interested to see if these comments actually appear on the Booking.com website.

virtually everything, lovely hostess
a bit too far for us to walk to restaurants

Lovely setting up on a hill, next to a vineyard, overlooking Epérnay. Very friendly cordial staff and delicious breakfast. We enjoyed our walk among the vines.
Our room was on the second (3rd in U.S. terminology), up a very steep staircase, and was very small. those details were not shared in the reservation details. Our friends’ room was on the floor below, with one flight of normal stairs and a spacious room, which they enjoyed.
4.3
The view of the vineyard from our bedroom was stunning. Walking to the top of the vineyard you could see a whole vista of Epernay.
Breakfast was very convivial with other guests and our hosts.
Superb support for restaurants to eat out and for local taxis if necessary.
Lots of reading material.
Bottles of the local champagne available to buy and you could drink it on the terrace overlooking the vineyard.
Loved absolutely everything.
4.3
The bed and breakfast charming and the setting, backing onto a vineyard picturesque. The location was central, walking distance into town. The hostess was very warm and welcoming.
The upstairs rooms could be noisy as the floors are wooden.
4.3
Everything :) Beautiful accommodation. Bigger than we expected for a family room. The room had a patio that looked out to a vineyard which you also had access to walk through. Very cosy. Chantel and her husband were amazing!! Fabulous breakfast. We loved our stay!
Nothing.

Beautiful setting backing onto the vineyard. We felt very safe and secure with gated access. So peaceful and great access to walk the dogs. Chantal was a wonderful host and made us feel very at home. Nothing was too much! Highly recommend!
It was very warm at night so fans would have eased the heat.

Great host! Very accommodating and a great location.

Very nice owner, really helpful. Great room with terrace facing the vines and good breakfast
Fairly long walk into town for restaurants.
4.3
Nice view over the vines from my room. Breakfast was served early for me as I needed to be in Calais by a certain time. The hosts were extremely helpful in ensuring my breakfast was prepared in good time and that my car could be parked so that I was sure of getting out in the morning. My room was on the second floor up some steep narrow stairs. I didn't realise this until my arrival, it was a little tricky as I have just had knee surgery but the hosts offered to bring my overnight case down for me.
4.3
Nice small room. Enjoyed the outside seating area. It was a bit challenging to communicate as the host did not speak English.
4.3
If you want to have a beautiful view of the Champagne vineyards and actually walk in them, this is the place for you. You will have a guaranteed parking space. The breakfast was also very good and very French! It is a chambre d'hote, so there is a small 8 1/2 x 11 sheet identifying it, not a big sign.
4.3
Lovely view from room which was very clean, Chantal and husband very friendly and good breakfast.
4.3
Very friendly reception by the owner. She made a lot of effort to make us feel at home and even bought special milk bread for our 3 year old daughter to eat and arranged a little departure gift for her as well. Rooms and bathroom are super clean and in order. Location is on a quiet street at the edge of Epernay and you park your car behind the house. The whole premise is closed off by a remotely operated fence so you don't have to worry about the champagne in your car. Backside there is a terrace with view of the vines where you can stay in the evening and see the sun set behind the hill.
Nothing.

We loved everything!. It is a wonderful place to stay, and Chantal is simply the most accomodating and gracious host.
There was nothing at all to dislike

Our host was adorable, gave us great advise and great a breakfast. Impeccably clean and most importantly our Ruby (labradoodle) was made incredibly welcomed.
