The view was spectacular. The beds were comfortable. Nice that dishcloths and dishtowels were provided - not always the case in small MX properties.
Minor things: no real lounging chairs, no toaster, no storage space around the vanity sink

Loved the view and privacy.
Would improve unit if it had comfortable seating for relaxing.

Hermoso lugar ! Una vista incomparable.

Having Angel meet us at the pier and carry our luggage was very helpful. The view to the beach, river, mountains was gorgeous. The location was away from the road so no noise from people or ATV’s. just the crashing of the waves on the rocks was all we heard. The casita was minutes to the market and restaurants.
The seas were rough so the pounding of the surf was quite loud, even in the bedrooms with window and door closed. Make sure to put all food in refrigerator or Tupperware to prevent critters coming at night. Took a long time for the shower water to get hot, but once it did, it was fine.

location is excellent. Open air main room is lovely. Though little things like a bat flying through can be alarming. Hermit crabs travel freely everywhere in town, you may find such a visitor as well. This is a rustic little town with great ambiance.
The approach from the back of building. You wouldn’t want small children walking through that little bit of chaos.

This unit has the most amazing outlook across to the main Yelapa beach, with a beautiful open balcony (where the kitchen, dining and seating area is), so a fantastic spot to relax, and within walking distance to the village shops/restaurants and beachfront. The unit was comfortable and well equipped. Yelapa is really only accessible by water taxi, so a special place to visit. We were met by someone at the pier who thankfully assisted us with our luggage in his wheelbarrow! We had a fantastic stay here which was sadly cut short by a day for us due to a hurricane threat, and with it the possibility of closed boat traffic, so we had to forfeit our last nights paid accommodation.
The accommodation could not be pre-paid and credit cards are not accepted, so one needs to travel with lots of cash if visiting Yelapa., although we were pre-warned of this. Whilst a few restaurants in the area accept credit cards, most places, including the few little shops work on a cash only basis, and given the accessibility of the town, things tend to be more pricey. We were travelling with quite a bit of luggage and it is quite a climb up to the property from the pier (but given we had help this was not so much of an issue). The sea just below the unit is not readily accessible (ie a steep clamber over rocks/vegetation), but fortunately the main beach is a relatively short walk away.

Everything! The location was amazing, the view was stunning and the owners were so helpful! They quickly answered all my questions and requests. They met us at the doc to help us with our luggage and take us to our villa. The kitchen was well stocked with lots of utensils and pots and pans. The location was perfect. Right in the middle between the beach and town. Having access to beach towels, chairs and sun umbrellas was a huge bonus. Overall I was so pleasantly surprised with everything, and it made my heart happy knowing I was supporting a local family.
The hot water situation was a little touch and go, but the cool water was refreshing. Just a little bit of a shock when you were expecting warm water to wash your hair. I wouldn't really call this "something I didn't like" but more of a recommendation. It would be nice if there was a map of the town in the room.

The hosts were great. Showed us everything we needed in the area, including Restaurants, our reserved beach chairs and umbrellas. Well done
When I let them know about a couple things that needed attention, they were quick to remedy the situation.
Angel was especially helpful:)

The view from the suite was amazing! we enjoyed the open air kitchen/dining area. Wonderful to hear the waves below. Everything was clean and tidy with lots of kitchen supplies. The bathroom appeared to be newly renovated.
We were met at the water taxi, and our luggage was hauled by wheel barrel to the unit.
This is not a place to stay for people with mobility issues. A long windy road to the property, then many stairs up and down to the unit. Of course this is not unique to this property, Yelapa is a hillside community. Visitors should be ready to “hike”
Really a minor complaint but the toilet tank didn’t always fill after flushing. It was a bit intermittent. I think it was a water supply issue

Someone met me at the dock and helped us with luggage and checked us into the room. Beautiful views and nice ocean sound to drown out all the noise so we slept really well. Love the hammock and outdoor kitchen!
We climbed down to the beach, but would be nice to have a way to access the beach at the bottom of the stairs. No credit cards accepted.

We had a 2 bedroom apartment here. The place is absolutely gorgeous. It's situated partway up the mountainside, and the views from the large balcony - where there is a wonderfully situated hammock - are just incredible. You get a perfect view of the bay, the beach, the mountains, and the river. Watching the fishermen and the huge amounts of seabirds was spectacular. The kitchenette is fully equipped including a water cooler sized bottle of water. One of the bedrooms is air-conditioned, but the breeze and fans on the balcony made it plenty cool.
The host, who just goes by Berita, is a lovely matronly woman who met us with the keys on arrival. She lives one door down and seemed to be always available when we had a question. Her daughter Yuri, who speaks better English than her mom, doesn't live there but is available on whatsapp. We showed up like total amateurs with no cash. There's no ATMs and they don't accept credit cards. But Yuri very kindly arranged payment by Venmo or PayPal, and even arranged additional spending cash for us through her mom. It was an absolute lifesaver. But you should bring cash - as mentioned, no ATMs in town and credit card acceptance is spotty.
We had a relaxing time here and would highly recommend!
The property isn't the easiest to get to if you are arriving by water taxi from Puerto Vallarta, you either have to wade through the shallow mouth of the river - which is hard to do with bags - or take an ATV ride around the back, including walking across a hanging pedestrian bridge across the river. So pack light. But the payoff is amazing.

Beautiful, quiet location. Spectacular view over the bay of Yelapa. Huge king beds. Quite humid but the apartment has many fans. Each night, because of the time of year (August) there was an amazing thunderstorm to watch from the huge balcony. The option to read, snooze, spectate from the string hammock was excellent. Watching the tides come in and out while the pelicans, cormorants and frigate birds were fishing was amazing! Lovely waterfall. No pressure shopping. Plenty of small markets and restaurants. The ocean was nearly the same temperature as the air. The apartment had a fridge, range, sink and all utensils. Half hour water taxi from PV. Will definitely visit again.

Prime locarion with stunning view, lots of ‘up and down’ path to arrive, but worth it. important (to us) isolation of bedrooms no bugs—good fans throughout, comfortable in event the warmest season in our visit in late july

the 2bedroom bungalow was comfortable and had everything for a self catering holiday
quite a few steps. but that’s Yelapa
