Hotel is place in the coty center within walking distance to all Saint Malo atractions.

I was really happy to find somewhere to stay near to the ferry terminal. The hotel was clean and comfortable and staff were very helpful. The hotel is located in the Intra Muros area of St Malo which is beautiful and bustling and full of lovely bars and restaurants.
The room was a bit hot as the window had been left closed - it's been very hot and dry so I don't know why the window was not left open. Also watch out for the step down to the bathroom if you get up in the middle of the night!
4.3
it was central and easy to find
unfortunately they were short staffed so we had to wait a bit for check in and in the room there was no toilet paper so lucky we had some.

very noisy on Saturday night until midnight

Location very good.
Room not cleaned one day, room key card at least twice ceased to work. Shower would not stay in place, had to shower with one hand holding it in place. No toilet paper. Mix up with bill.
4.3
Really great value. The hotel is located right in the city center.
Elevator only goes up part way of the building. The steep windy stairs are a bit difficult.
4.3
Great location & staff. Secure indoor cycle storage.
Charged to store our bicycles! Made to pay for an "upgraded" room when we had to change dates due to Covid but the room was no better than previous rooms when we've stayed at this hotel before. Room not particularly clean - cup ring on bedside shelf and excess cleaning products on side of sink. Also we and other guests had to search to find clean cups at breakfast - many of the cups had residue from previous use in them.
4.3
A clean quaint hotel situated in an excellent position. Good value for money in an expensive area. Breakfast was a good value also.
4.3
It's a nice spot for finding a bar or restaurant on foot. Also convenient for the ferry port.
It's a bit tired in terms of decor and fixtures & fittings and don't bother with the breakfast but it's comfortable enough

Central location
Very old furnishing, bed, matress and towels

Receptionist was super friendly and helpful.

We feel we were very lucky to have had an upgrade to the Chateaubriand hotel, the décor around the hall, reception and dining room being most beautiful - a visual treat, as was our spacious room with such a marvelous view.
We are indebted to one of the hotel reception team who kindly drove us to the ferry when no taxi arrived.
There was nothing we didn't like, and we were most satisfied.
4.3
We were comfortable and we very much liked the view. We should add as records show that we were transferred to Hotel de la Cité, and liked the location of this hotel in the heart of the old town, which we found very convenient for getting around.
There wasn't anything we didn't like.

The location of the hotel is perfect. It's in a area of Saint Malo that I like very much, close to restaurants, beaches, remparts. The staff are super nice !
The hotel was going to close 2 days before I was scheduled to leave ,due to no reservations for the following week. The staff booked me into another hotel which was very kind of them.
The hotel itself is in need of a re-do. The room was cold, the heating didn't work in my room, the staff brought me a space heater. It's an old hotel, in a great location, which needs a lot of re-doing.

Location is good.
Very basic and room very small. Old bedding and worn bedding - more 1x star than 2x star rating.

The location is very good
could do with a good clean and improvement

Room was convenient and a good size, nice and clean. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They immediately offered to help change our room when we reported that the first one smelled of cigarette smoke. That first room was on the 2nd level and there was no elevator, which was a bit of a problem for my husband who walks with a cane (plus the suitcase, even though it's small!); the second room was in the main building with a typically small French elevator. The breakfast spread was lovely.
Room was small and dated, and seemed to have distinct slope to the floor. There were minimal furnishings, and the bathroom was clean but felt a little unappealing just because everything was a bit dingy and old. Also the wifi was free but pretty slow.
4.3
Lovely, helpful staff.
Secure garage to store my bike.
Clean, comfortable room & bed.
Alarm sounded in a neighbouring building in the middle of the night, waking me up. Not the hotel's fault, I know.

Receptionist was ultra friendly and allowed me early check in and to leave bag before I left for ferry.
Very budget room but matched price.
4.3
The location
I had asked booking.com for a 3 star hotel and I did not know this one was only 2. I had asked for a room with A/C and this one did not have it. We were on the 3rd floor and no lift!
4.3
Just the location and somehow the breakfast
It is so dirty and in all the place smells bad
4.3
Great location, nice rustic character, good price.
Internet was spotty. Place is comfortable and rustic, but also needs a little bit of upgrading. No headboards, small rooms, which is only a challenge in you have lots of bags.

Awesome location. Great value for money. Basic but clean. The best value in town. Near big public car park.
No tea facilities in the room nor fridge. Very dated room and bathroom. We had pre-booked parking and got email confirmation for it however parking was not available when we got to the hotel.
