The breakfast was terrific!
The room could have used more furniture. There was only one place to keep luggage so we had to use the sofa and then there wasn’t enough seating

Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Der Service gut.

All good, maybe breakfast could be slightly more kid friendly.

The view from the room on the Rhein river
Our room had no safe
Room 206 getting out of bed from the left side is quite a challenge

The location and views are fantastic. It’s an old hotel with real character. The staff are super friendly and extremely helpful. The restaurant was very nice too.
The only negative I can think of is no coffee or tea in the room.

A great short stay!
Bulky room key

Quality of the food in the restaurant was magnificent. Beautifully cooked and excellent food , sophisticated but not cheap
We asked for an upgrade to have a room overlooking the Rhine, I would happily have paid extra but we were told nothing was available , given the hotel was at about 30% full this was inexplicable.
Other issues no bar!
No atmosphere probably because in mid January it was empty

location and breakfast
check-in took very long due to receptionist making an endless phone call

Stayed 4 nights, Rooms clean, people are friendly. Breakfast was good, amazing view from restaurant. Our view from the hotel room was not great. We stayed at this hotel as it was closer to our family who live near by.
Separate duvet covers on a double bed, funny smell in the bathroom. Rooms are very basic

the room with a river view
it was a lot of confusion with my booking. I send you a message after booking that I wanted a room with balcony and riverview. The staff were first not willing to give me what I ordered. Then I had to change rooms three times on my stay. That was stressfull. With my luggage back and forth, packing and unpacking.
the new one was the kindest!!

We spent the night after our wedding here. We got much personal attention such as rose leaves on our bed and a bottle of sparkling wine and pralines as a gift.
The stuff was very friendly and helpful special wishes were fullfilled easily.
Great view on the Siebengebirge.
IMHO the best Hotel near Bonn.

The Hotel has a great history with lots of famous people having stayed there, look it up on the internet, it's really interesting. It's clean and tidy, there is an underground car park opposite which was handy for two motorcycles overnight. Staff were friendly despite my basic German. We came across the Rhine on the ferry from Konigswinter and its a short distance from there to the Hotel, easy if you're using the A3 Autobahn. I would gladly return in the future.
The room faced a small internal courtyard so there was no view, although in fairness this was mentioned before booking, I think a Rhine view may be more expensive. There is no internal bar, we used a small lounge and ordered drinks from one of the staff. The breakfast would have been 21 Euros each so we made other arrangements.

Best overall experience we had out of 5 hotels in 4 countries. Classically elegant hotel oozes charm. Breakfast was also the best we experienced, and we stayed in some very upscale hotels along the way. Exceptional property and a bit unexpected to be honest. Amazing history and location. We only stayed one night on a long road trip but are now going to rebook for next year for a longer stay.
On site restaurant fully booked and we had to dine elsewhere. Patrons looked to be upscale locals mixed with guests. With the fabulous dining room and views overlooking the Reine River combined with an excellent menu, I can see why the large venue was sold out on a Friday night. Rooms not as luxurious as in other hotels we stayed at but more than adequate. A property you could stay happily at for a much longer duration.

A hotel situated right on the Rhein River with a lovely attached biergarten. The common areas look a little dated, but the room itself seemed to have been renovated recently. We were able to easily rent bikes right from the hotel and ride along the river, and the later check out time of noon was very much appreciated.
The elevator was from a different era and did not inspire confidence.
