Breakfast was good, with a nice selection of items (though not always replenished); location is quite central and close to major road axis. The double room is spacious. Our had a shared balcony.
I join the other comments stating that the management of this hotel is chaotic. We were supposed to have half board (and chose the hotel specifically for that service), but when we arrived, we were told that the kitchen was closed. We would have dinner in a nearby restaurant. We went for a hike and came back, only to discover that the restaurant was actually… closed as well. Not only we would have appreciated to know all that before arriving, but the least that could have been done is to have checked if the backup solution was actually one! The solution offered was a kebab/pizzeria, which we declined because that was not what we wanted.
The rest of the experience is quite similar: when we arrived, the bed linens were carelessly left on the floor and we had to slalom to our room, which was clearly not cleaned up to what a 3* hotel should be: hairs everywhere in the shower and sink, drawings from the previous kids in the cabinet drawers, not to mention the crumbs and candy wrappers…
When we left, no question about the stay, only the price of the dinner was deduced but no discount nor excuses.
The only feeling that we have is that it was somewhat done on purpose to avoid loosing our booking (which would be deceiving), or that the hotel management was not capable enough to anticipate this kind of situation. In both cases, not very 3*-like.

Personal and service-minded reception. Very good breakfast buffeé. Plus for upgrade to exceptional suite with two bathrooms and an enormous bathtub, which exceeded our expectations and made our stay a wonderful getaway. I'd say you don't find hotels like these in larger cities.

A dream bed! A big and shiny bathroom! – What more can you want from a hotel? – Well, posh interior design too, and your own balcony! – That’s it, no hotel better than Palace Hotell Hultsfred.

Fantastic breakfast. Very impressed. The manager/owner was also fantastic. He was involved in everyday events and made sure all of our needs ands desires were attended to. We'll stay here again. Loved our evenings outside on the patio.

Palace Hotel in Hultsfred is a pearl. It is nice, cosy and clean. Beautifully folded cloth napkins and other details giving it that little extra feeling. It is not strict, however, but warm and cosy. Just watching the enormous mirror with a golden frame in the dining room was worth a visit. The beds are clean and very comfortable and the television provides a wide range of watching opportunities such as Netflix and I noticed even some channels in German and other languages.
The breakfast and dinner are professionally arranged, and there is ample and delicious food. It´s a great idea and a generous offer to serve both dinner and breakfast as part of the hotel price. The open-air restaurant is nicely built up with a beautiful fountain and lovely big plants. It feels as if you are in a Mediterranean setting.
The owners are simply super and will do everything to make their guests feel welcome. It is also wonderful that dogs are permitted in certain rooms. If you want to travel around and discover the surroundings, this is the place to stay even if you decide to go to the town of Vimmerby or the village of Lönneberga. The bus and train stations are just outside the hotel, and the hotel also offers free parking. This is a base for daily excursions and it would let you long for every dinner. It is a really pleasant environment and you will be treated with a true service feeling.
Everything was great!

Cosy and comfortable beds/pillows an d generous sized room
The bathroom had no heating and the very large room could have had more heating.
The hair dryer was missing.

This hotel is a little gem, we were so happy to have found it.
Excellent and incredibly friendly service!
Cosy and individual rooms with WLAN, Netflix, Prime...
Lovely breakfast, no buffet because of COVID, instead individually prepared breakfast for each guest and still, if we had wanted more we just had to ask.
The cappuccino was also very good- nice change from the usual coffee :)
Thank you Christian - we hope we will be back soon!
