The location was very good near shops and bars. Overall, Hostal San Juan is very clean, and the room was bright and airy. Very nice bathroom with walk-in shower and 2 sinks.
Would highly recommend.
Everything was excellent apart from some noise outside caused by builders in an adjacent street.

Hostal San Juan is one of the nicest and most comfortable hotels I have stayed at in Spain. A beautifully restored house in traditional Andalusian style with lots of tiles and plants. The friendly owners made me feel welcome and were happy to answer any questions and offer information on local restaurants and shops. I would definitely stay there again.

No bar or restaurant but it really didn't matter as there were plenty of places locally to eat and drink. Owners were very helpful and friendly
We could have done with a couple of extra pillows but it wasn't a big deal

Helpful and friendly welcome, with all the information you will need for your stay, even made a restaurant reservation for us. Very clean, quiet hotel. Near the old town.Would definitely recommend if staying in Salobrena.

This is a beautiful hostal, a building with character and lots of quaint details. The room was comfortable. The host, Sebastian was fantastic, very welcoming and helpful (he speaks French, Spanish and English). He recommended us various great restaurants which gave us excepcional service due to being hosted with Sebastian. We’d love to be back!

Most hotels have room doors off long plain corridors. The connections here are more open and decorated. It is aesthetic. The room has a bath as well as a shower, a hair drier and a small fridge. The servicing of the room was excellent and it was very clean
Salobrena has a lot of small twisty streets so a street map is important. The whole town can have parking difficulties.

Gorgeous little hostal with fantastic interior Excellent location with plenty of bars and restaurants around and only a 10 minute walk to the beach (no hills). The host Sebastian couldn’t be more helpful and always had a smile for us. Highly recommended

Characterful and comfortable with a fabulous tapas bar around the corner and great sea side.

Everything!!!! The building is a restored treasure of Andalusian charm and beauty.
The owner Joanna was warmly welcoming and very informative with local info.
The room was stunning with details like: fridge, water, mints, soaps, soft pillows beautiful lamps, felt quite luxurious.
The roof terrace was a fabulous surprise. As was the cosy library room!
Also you can park right outside and walk to everything in the town easily.
Salobreña old town was very quiet in terms of bars/ restaurants/ atmosphere (midweek in April). Beachfront closed due to bad weather, town was lively with locals but places closed very early.
Will possibly revisit in summer...

Hosts were very helpful, kind and good
The insulation between rooms was poor. If you stay here, PLEASE consider other guests and if you get up at 3 am to catch a flight do not have loud showers, shout at each other, flush the toilet continually and generally be inconsiderate for a couple of hours. This ruined my stay as I had two nights of bad sleep although the room was comfortable and the hosts could not have been kinder.

Very cozy little hostal with a lot of atmosphere. The hosts were very kind and hospitable.
Nothing at all.

It's the perfect place to stay if you're visiting Salobrena. Clean, comfy, close to everything and yet still on a quiet street. The hosts are lovely as well. There really is no point staying anywhere else in town.
It was all good.

Beautiful little hotel right in the middle of Salobrena close to town and close to many restaurants for breakfast and dinner. Very clean and comfortable with lovely hot shower and TV. Sebastian the host could not have been more welcoming and friendly. Thoroughly recommend. 😊
Nothing everything was great.

Nothing could have been better, from the ease of making the reservation on Booking.com to leaving the room card key under the manager’s door when I left early in the morning. The rooms were immaculately clean, the bed comfortable and the bottles of water in the refrigerator very welcome. The owner, Sebastian, was very friendly and helpful with directions to local restaurants, providing an explanation along with a map! I’ve found my go-to place in Salobreña!

Lovely elegant style guesthouse just a few minutes walk from beach, town centre or castle. Nice roof terrace though a little chilly when we were there unfortunately. But the best thing was the friendly welcome from our host Sebastian and his wife Joanna. We felt so completely at home and they took time to give tips on walks and places to eat and even lent us a guide book for the Alpujarra region. I highly recommend staying here!
We found it hard to share one pillow although I have since learnt from staying in other places that this seems to be a normal thing in Spain!
