Wonderful hospitality on the English Riviera.

Hospitality it the key to good accommodation and Mr Bhatta, the owner of Crimdon Dene, knows exactly how to look after and cater for guests. The breakfasts were fresh, plentiful and tasty. The rooms were as expected for an Edwardian Guest house (i.e. en-suite size acceptable, bedrooms reasonable sized doubles). The bedrooms were exceptionally clean. The guest bar was an added bonus for pre-dinner drinks before moving onto local restaurants. Infact, the hotel is ideally situated for the whole of Torquay and beyond.

Plenty of on site parking as well as free parking in the road. Just take your time selecting your spot and be prepared for others to park in close proximity.

The host was very friendly, willing to help in any way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Cooked breakfast was tasty, right portion and a variety of fresh fruits available. Our room was very clean, towels and toileteries provided as needed.

highly recommended with excellent host.

the breakfast was fantastic with the service to match. full range of cereal, fruits etc, i was not happy with my egg the first day but this was corrected within minutes. The owner was very helpful WITHOUT being overbearing, unlike some alleged "5*" B&B. highly recommended and would stay again in a heartbeat.

As a smoker, an ashtray outside would have been nice but there was a public bin only a few steps away. trying to think of something else..... sorry nothing.

This is a lovely family run place, highly recommended.

A fantastic guesthouse which I would highly recommend to anyone! The host and his family are very hospitable and welcoming, they couldn’t do enough for you. On arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome by one of the sons who was courteous and friendly. He gave us a glass of orange juice whilst we checked in and kindly offered to carry our cases to our room. The room itself was comfortable, clean and tidy, and included extras like shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and cotton-buds, also welcoming chocolates and bottles of water. The breakfasts are fantastic, starting with a range of fresh fruit, a selection of cereals and followed by a full English cooked to perfection. As much tea, fresh coffee and toast as you wanted. Outstanding start to the day! The location was great, a short walk from the town or the beach. Parking was available on site.

Fantastic guesthouse would highly recommend to anyone! Kul and his family are very hospitable and welcoming they couldn’t do enough for you. On arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome and even given a glass of orange juice, Kul kindly carried in our cases which was highly appreciated. The breakfast was fantastic from cooked breakfasts to cereal, toast and a variety of fresh food we were definitely well fed. The rooms were clean and tidy and even had some extras like shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, bottles of water even cotton-buds. Looking forward to staying here again in the near future. Thank you for everything!

An ideal place to come back to after a day of sightseeing and exploring.

We received a very warm welcome from the owner who offered us a cold drink whilst booking in. He was very attentive during the whole of the stay. The food on offer was very good and the cooked food was always hot and the presentation matched the quality. The accommodation was very clean.

Stayed 2nd to 5th June

Good location. Host Kul was great. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent. Fresh fruit yogurt cereal and full english which was cooked to perfection.

Thought this was wheelchair friendly but wasn't really but Kul got around this by serving breakfast for my wife in the room which was nice.Big thanks to Kul.Breakfast room is downstairs

Very good

We enjoyed our stay and was made very welcome. Our breakfast was great, very filling and lots of options The room was clean and comfortable. A very pleasant stay.

Struggled with reception of tv at times.minor Shower needs upgrading but works fine.

Nice food, very attentive service, good location for walking into town and the seafront.

Bed was a bit too firm for my liking. TV had bad reception for BBC channels.
