Beautiful property!

Beautiful and charming hotel in great location. Perfect to explore Amboise and other Loire Valley attractions.

Most staff members were amazing. One lady at the front-desk needs to work on better skills to handle international guests.

The hotel is beautifully furnished and well maintained. The gardens were also well kept. The location of the hotel is a convenient walking distance of the Chateau de Amboise and DaVinci's home. Restaurants are also plentiful and within walking distance.

A lovely place to stay in Amboise

This was at the top end of our budget for the week but was worth it. The staff made us feel very welcome, the rooms were comfortable and there was secure bike storage for our cycles. We were able to use the swimming pool which had just been opened for the season. We ate at the hotel for dinner and breakfast and both were good.

Beautiful place, fabulous staff. Easy walk to the chateau and restaurants in town. On site restaurant was an extra treat with beautiful food and the service was next level. Very comfortable room and lovely garden to relax in at the end of the day.

Our stay at Le Clos d'Amboise was truly lovely! Best room, best breakfast, beautiful grounds, and a central location. The only thing I didn't like was that we had to leave so soon!

The stay in Amboise was great. Despite the hotel being just regular...

I guess I was not in one of the best rooms. But, it was ok... I did not like to notice a bug on our wall, above the bed, after our arrival (this room was decorated with old timber pieces...). But, it was (besides this accident) a very clean room and the bathroom, as well. The location of the hotel was nice. Close to a few good restaurants and the river. Breakfast was a bit "contained". And the options were not gracefully replaced, unless the guest asked them to be... There is a parking place adjacent to the hotel (Paid, "naturellement"), which was a bit difficult to enter or to park. But, it worked... One night, it was full. After a few hours, there was one free space, and I brought the car to it...

Breakfast was not a very good one... A bit poor. The room was a bit too tight. People at the hotel were not very courteous...

Great location in the center of Amboise. Big and comfortable room, good wifi and safe. Very nice hotel, with lots of green space. Disliked · Efficient staff, but advised Chenanceau and Chambord castles were open. Chenanceau was open, but Chambord closed for renovations. Travel and lost day. Large bathroom but there is no shower door and it is difficult to take a shower without wetting the floor. Good hotel, but they could provide correct information about the main attractions in the area.

Superb

I loved it all. The staff was amazing without exception. The place is truly stunning, beautiful, classy and spotlessly clean. The room was perfectly decorated, The bathroom was beautiful and so clean. The garden has to be amazing especially during spring and summer. And I didn't know there was a parking inside, so I was so glad the parking just next to the hotel is totally free. I didn't even feel the need to move my car inside, as they proposed.

Maybe the mattress was not so comfortable for me, but we all have different tastes. Otherwise it was top!

Great stop in the Loire

Location, proximity to chateau. Easy to find and park.

Single beds narrow. Dinner was inventive and very attractively presented. However 'foam' on practically every dish ordered was annoying! Breakfast expensive when no hot dish apart from eggs.

Beautiful garden setting in the main part of town. Walking distance to chateau. Very helpful English-speaking staff. Full breakfast (not included) with eggs to order. Very comfortable bed & newly renovated bathroom.

Train station is across the river, a 7-8€ taxi ride. There is some traffic noise at times. But these are both outweighed by the lovely setting, friendly staff & comfortable room.

Very nice stay after sorting out rooms. Great location. Helpful staff

Very good location with easy walk to center of historic area with chateau as well as Leonardo's last domicile. Very good breakfast with cheerful staff. Reception staff very helpful. Parking is through a very tight passage way...don't bring a wide vehicle.

I can only comment about rooms in the "Annex." The first room we were offered was very small with a short ceiling and a steep uncarpeted stairway. Not at all what was pictured on Booking. After complaining politely, we were shown a larger room with sitting area in the same building for 30 euros more with much better stairway. We took that room and were quite happy with it

Perfect. This place won't be a secret for long.

Superb in every respect. Secure parking, boutique chic in a great central location. Helpful staff & an excellent dinner in the evening. Kids were well accommodated as well.

I'm pretty sure they found us annoying, but that's probably our issue.
