Room was great, large with a kitchenette over looking the swimming pool. Could see the sea in the distance.
Location. Had to drive into the nearest town. You could walk. Depending on where you wanted to go around a 1-2 mile walk.

The owner George and all of his staff were amazing. The hotel was spotless, both rooms and all public areas. The breakfasts were fabulous and nothing was too much trouble.

Breakfast was fine and served to our room by a courteous and friendly staff member.
The location is a little tricky though as it's in Ano Riglia off the main road. If one follows the sign, and Google, and tries to reach the hotel through the first intersection will end up in very narrow and impossible to navigate streets. If you go about 500 yards past the first sign there's another intersection that will take you around the village to the hotel car park.

The room was amazing with attention to detail, comfort and ample of space, as is the location. Parking on site and close to Stoupa and Kardamuli.
The stuff are extremely helpful and professional, the breakfast is amazing for all tastes.
The balcony view is awesome. The property is located in a very quiet area, and the night sky view is not to be missed during the summer

very friendly young staff, nice pool area
breakfast: it was just convenient, for example no fresh fruits. and honestly I didn‘t understand why they brought it to your room although they have facilities to serve breakfast on the public terrace or barroom…

We got breakfast in the room. The view was super nice. It was calm. The parking was comfortably close.
The rooms are not completely new, the shower has a curtain only, so it gets wet on the floor outside.

Nice location, a short drive from Kardamyli and Stoupa. The resort is on a high spot offering nice view. Helpful parking lot, large room with adequate kitchenette facilities (although we did not use them, they provided an option to cook a meal if required - read in drawbacks). Comfortable bed. Due to Covid precautions, breakfast was served in the room - the nice weather allowed us to use the room's terrace, overlooking the pool and the sea in the horizon.
a) The staff needs to upgrade, currently they border to amateur. Breakfast serving was rather sluggish; although we had provided our order from the previous day, with a whole hour slot for delivery, and there was not much to cook (an omelette which arrived cold), they took an hour to prepare. The range of options was basic; quality was average to low. Since it was not yet high season but just a long weekend, this is an area for serious improvements. b) Nights are chilly in March and heating was provided by air-conditioning; obviously not an efficient or effective option. There was a constant cold draught coming from the terrace door. c) The villages in the area are small and the tourism businesses few; people will come for the natural beauty of Messiniaki Mani, but they will also expect some service. The entrepreneurs should enhance their coordination (e.g. it is no good organizing a trekking race without having restaurants open to cater for the visitors). There are highly competitive alternatives in short distance, both for better price and quality; currently the touristic proposal of the area leaves much to be expected. d) Overpriced for its current offer; if they work on their weaknesses, the resort could charge the current prices in high season...

Due to Covid breakfast was freshly made and brought to our room. We were given a large selection of items to choose from. The breakfast was delicious.

We were happy finally to stay at Anaxo after 2 cancellations in 2020-2021. We arrived in a tremendous thunderstorm, but George checked us in with a happy, wet smile. The place is beautiful, the staff nice and friendly. Breakfast is made of, whatever you like, and especially the local omelettes are exciting. We would certainly love to come back to Anaxo resort.
Nothing not to like.

Our second time back at Anaxo and we were greeted like old friends. Our room was in the new suite and was fabulous - roomy, comfortable and well-considered. The staff at Anaxo could not be friendlier. The serve a great breakfast which a good number of items for selection - all really tasty and well presented. The hotel is small and located just above a small coastal village - which has a good selection of restaurants. Anaxo also serves food by their beautiful pool - and their menu is great and reasonably priced - as are the drinks. If you are looking for Greek char, peace and quiet, and a comfortable stay, then look no further!

The swimming pool - the pool is large and very clean, the pool-side service is good, lots of clean, comfortable sun-beds and parasols.
The staff in the breakfast room - always very friendly, very polite and very courteous.
The hotel grounds and the surrounding area is very peaceful and quiet at all times, day and night.
The hotel grounds are very clean and tidy.
A very good location for exploring the northern Mani.
Reception staff upon arrival - woman at reception was rather aloof and business like - not what I am accustomed to in Greece - I'd bet she was not Greek!
The food at breakfast - the quality of the food was very poor, no fresh fruit juice, bad coffee.
The breakfast room - uninviting, uncomfortable and with an atmosphere similar to an airport cafe.
The outdoor breakfast area - swarms of wasps made it impossible to eat outdoors - yes, I know, it's nature, but I only experienced this problem at this hotel, during my entire two week stay in the Mani - it is obviously a very local problem and obviously no attempt at preventative measures are taken.
The bed - I have slept on stone floors which were softer than this bed.
The room - the beige, brown and orange decor and the fake books made me feel like I was staying in a business hotel in Stockholm rather than on holidays in Greece. It was not entirely clean either and many fixtures and fittings were passed their prime.
The balcony/terrace - the furniture was not clean and needed repair/replacement.
Price/performance - this hotel would be just OK - at half the price, but when on holiday, I don't want cheap. The standard of this hotel in no way matches the price that I paid.

We wanted a quiet location away from the local villages & that's exactly what we found. Only a 5 minute drive from the small village of Agios Nikolaos this Boutique Hotel gave us everything & more! George & the staff were superb, very friendly & accommodating. Location WOW - Mountains behind & sea views to the front. Excellent pool & out-door bar/eating area. No other hotels in the area come close to offering the same standards.
Nothing to say!
