Nice and practical

The cottage was huge, with the kitchen with all tools provided and a sofa nearby. The host is nice and kind. We could park the car near the entrance.

Maybe the carpet in the bedroom wasn’t my favourite.

Slane Farm and Cottages review

Location was amazing, so close to Slane Castle. Plenty of beds in the cottage, comfortable, cosy and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Lovely little cosy cottage , comfy bed

For the price we paid €150 no breakfast was included. Some bread for toast and eggs would be a nice touch. Also no toiletries supplied for showering.

Excellent place to stay in the Bru Na Boinne area

Excellent place to stay in a lovely area. Conveniently located for Newgrange, Hill of Tara, Kells etc, Really nice and helpful hosts, and the cottage is delightful, self contained, with comfy bed. Will definitely make this my first choice when revisiting the area. Highly recommended.

Very short so cannot give a full feedback- used the place for accommodation for a local wedding .

We cooked our own breakfast.

The floors were still wet on arrival (after cleaning) which was a hazard as I slipped on it. A warning would have been nice. Also, the smoke alarm went off while using cooker for breakfast- no extraction fan over cooker. Otherwise, a lovely spot!

Disappointing

Nice view around, not far from town centre.

I don't know when they cleaned the room, there was so dusty everywhere and my little kid find sex toy (whipping toy) somewhere on the bed. Other thing what I didn't like, when I ordered room there was asking or I want 2 double beds in the room or bunk bed. I chose 2 double but still didn't get it. Was strange that we stayed 2 adults, 2 kids and we got only 2 towels (1 hands towel and second bigger towel). Farm is near a bit noisy road. No tv in the room

Friendly rural stay

Nice, quiet location about 2km outside of Slane, near to Slane castle. Staff were friendly and helpful. Cottage room was spacious and with a kitchen, dining area and kitchen with tables outside for eating too. We enjoyed our brief stay here.

Curtains were quite thin.

We really enjoyed our stay and it was perfect location for attending a 2 day event at Navan Racecourse. We will definitely be back again and would highly recommend it.

The heating was automatic which was fine but it went off quite early and it got very cold in the cottage between 9 and 11. It did come back on about 11 and during the night it was OK but those 2 hrs were very cold.

Apartment was not very warm. No bulb in bedside lamp. only one bedside light in three bedded room. Double bed was too small and the bed creaked every time you tried to turn over. Eventually my husband moved to one of the single beds.

We had a great time!

Lovely place full of history itself. There're loads of natural lights in the kitchen and bathroom due to the velux windows, very nice! Dishwasher in the kitchen and 2 fire extingushers. Our cat loved to stay at the window watching outside. Just a few minutes from Slane castle. There was a very helpful folder in the room with the main attractions and things to do around.

The curtains on the windows were nice for winter time, but I would suggest to have a blind or blackout as days will get brighter earlier at summer time.
