Location is convenient if going to airport
Very poor hygiene. There were no covers for the pillow and the sheets. Room had a cigarette smell and after flushing toilet, the smell was terrible. We didnt feel comfortable taking a shower in there.

I enjoyed a calm stay in Budapest at a hotel that offered silence and comfort for a reasonable price. I would suggest to book this place instead of a crowded hostel, specially in times of COVID. Although the location is not necessarily 'centric', the place is very well connected. In sum, the sacrifice would be having to resort on public transportation, which in a well-designed city as Budapest it is not a sacrifice at all.
The space we had at our disposal was not perfect. There were almost no places to sit or to do some light work (like mails and stuff) outside the main room. Finally, the design and smell of the bathroom (both WC and shower) was not great.

No breakfast. Location not very close to center.

I will now tell you the main reasons for my 1 star review:
To begin with, the hotel is disastrous compared to what it looks like in the photos, nothing is the same. The beds are about 5 centimetres large. It is better to sleep on the floor. The sheets are old-fashioned, with balls from the age. Even the WiFi didn’t work properly. There is a bed beside the fridge and it should be illegal to sleep there (i put a photo), to sleep on that bed was super cold and you hear all the time the noise of the fridge, but ALSO, it has other people's tobacco ash and countless dirt and grime. It wasn't very expensive but If they pay to me to come again, i wouldn’t do it even if they pay me 1 million $. Used handkerchiefs with mucus from other people on the floor next to the bed (attached photo). Besides, everything was full of flies. Also, they didn’t give us towels. Leaving aside the state of the facilities, we asked the lady at the reception if she could print us an essential paper that we needed to fly the next day and everything was good for her. The lady was willing to help us without any problem to print it for us. Suddenly, the receptionist (a man) arrived and he was giving us problems all the time, at no time did he try to help us or try to understand us. We tried to help him in case he had a problem with the computer and he flatly refused, speaking to us in a very derogatory way. We managed to send him the documents in a simpler way and when we told him, he just ate and ignored us while gesturing for us to leave. Finally, we asked if we could speak to the lady and he shouted STOP, leaving us without the papers to travel the next day when from the beginning the girl had told us she would print them for us. I have rarely been treated so badly by a person. If the facilities were already disastrous, nothing adds up to come to this place. I would not recommend this place even to my worst enemy. 0/10.

The price is very convenient to travel to Budapest, it allows to stay all my friends together.
The bathrooms are shared, so it should be cleaner.

The location was mostly convenient.
I don't have much positive to report on this one I'm afraid.
We weren't allowed to see our rooms before paying upfront (and all the instincts told us to do it, having seen the untidy and messy "reception area").
Once paid, the two of us were put in a tiny room, with an ad-hoc bathroom; It had a large sink that served as a bath/shower, it was dangerous to get in and out of. The bedding was ironed, and presumably washed recently but I can't decide if it was clean. I wrapped a shirt around my pillow.
We insisted on another room, and after the staff moved our previous bedding to our new room, we had an unbearable stench from the bathroom. Once the bathroom door was closed, another strange smell emerged, and when you moved the two steps to the other side of the room, another smell was noticeable. Luckily, a human can get used to exotic smells after a while. We had to block the drain from the emergent gagging stench of the sink.
There was something dodgy going on with the bills and the receipt, it didn't match what we paid, I still need to confirm what the amount that left my account was, but there is no way that this worth even half of the 80+ euros per night.
The location was as expected. I suggest that you sacrifice the location for quality at this price, even during the F1 season; You can do better.
