Breakfast was a treat. The gardens , the restaurant, the staff - all superb !!!

En route to Bonifacio from Porticcio, the gorgeous views alone are worth the ticket. But if ever visiting, stay here: easily worth a weeklong stay, with so many relaxing places to sit or sunbathe, in a natural setting.
Chef Lionel Lebrun, 43, likes to see what he eats, so while the ingredients often include garden herbs, vegetables and fruits, like fresh raspberries in the photo, as well as flourishes like grated Persian black lime over a roast sea bass or an intermezzo (between fish and meat) of homemade limoncello granita, to make a transition), the servings are not over technical or showy.
Fifteen years ago, he opened this oasis, which has Michelin recognition for gastronomy as well as a jacuzzi, spa, sauna and pool, all set in a green, garden like ambiance.
Rooms vary from single to suite. One of the best breakfasts I know, with homemade yogurts, Madeleines, cakes, breads and juices. The omelette is perfect, not runny. And although they have also fallen victim to machine coffee, they offered to make fresh filtered coffee, which was delicious.
Dinner included two catch-of-the-day fish, an amazing serving of two Corsican cheeses (one with truffle, another a creamy goat cheese) indirectly “smoked” by what is called L’Immortelle, a local flower also used in cosmetics, but burned next to the cheeses underneath a silver platter, to add a smoky flavour; locally raised veal, and impeccable desserts prepared by pastry chef Alexandre Prual, who for example crafted one of the most amazing sorbets I have ever had, from garden mint, lemon mint, parsley, verveine, and sariette (weed called “savvory” in English). So delicate, so refined, so vividly fresh and light… surrounded by fresh fruit.
Just some paltry critiques but the bedsheets could have been smoother and more luxurious, the bed larger (we were accustomed to the Radisson Blue in Ajaccio Bay, which has superb bedding). A couple of random steps in the suite mean be careful when walking about, and there was no window/vent for the small WC in our room, but this is just quibbling.

Very beautiful, little bit outside of Bonifacio.
Small but very tasteful rooms, nice garden and pool. Amazing gourmet restaurant.
Yes, Corsica is expensive in general, but 31 Euro for the breakfast buffet were over the top.

Garden
The bed was awful, my boyfriend and I had both backpain especially after 2 nights. I was happy I could leave cause of this, undoable a bed like this. Couldn’t use the bubbelbath either cause the water was full of dirt. Water was yellow with black grit, they didn’t made any effort to compensate.
It’s such a good location, garden, houses but with a bed like that. No way I would go back or advice it to anyone.

The location just outside of Bonifacio was nice, however provided no view. The gardens and landscaping were carefully laid out and beautiful
So much....
To start with we didn't get the suite we booked. The place was not clean, the mosquitos were a awful, the service was.... well non existent. 2 days we sat at the pool and not one person came out to ask if we wanted any water, to order a drink, nothing.
The bed was uncomfortably soft, the pillows were lumpy and too large. There was no help with luggage until we went to ask. The room was small and tried to be trendy ( my wife of 5'3" kept hitting her head on the chandelier. The food was overpriced and extremely limited (3 starters starting at €20 and 3 mains), and the list goes on.
For example, a note reminded us not to take home the bleached & stained beach/pool towels. I mean please, our dog towels are nicer than the towels provided by this place.
For my wife's 50th birthday, they printed a card off of the internet and provided a complimentary small bottle of water. They couldn't be bothered to book a pharmacy appointment for us, even though I had asked a week before our arrival.
This place was over €400 a night, and staff made us feel uncomfortable even asking for mosquito spray when we were attacked mid day outside our so called suite.
We were charged an additional €40 per night for our dogs (we travel with our two labs and have no problem paying more for additional cleaning) but at €120 for a 3 night stay you would have thought they could have at least provided a water bowl.
Super disappointed in our stay here. Value for money, one of the worst places we have stayed in 21 years in Europe.
Shame shame shame

It sits in its own beautiful gardens and all only single or two floor buildings. It is a real oasis of calm, but near the coast and Bonifacio.
Our room was essentially a hut, but a very nice one, up against a stone wall, with smart decor. Other rooms were also separate or in groups of two, accessed through the gardens.
The restaurant is generally excellent, both for dinner and breakfast. Nice outdoor cocktail bar!
It was expensive, partly because we booked late for one night only and it was August.
The pool is nice, but a little smaller than it looks in the pictures, and it becomes difficult to swim with more than a couple of people in it.
