Family owned and run by mum and son. location was away from busy main drag and noise of bars and entertainment, and yet only a short walk to go for meals etc. pool and surrounding scrupulously clean and attended daily. Rooms vary according to the building you are put in. I was in room 15 above the bar. Good sized room with good facilities and a balcony overlooking the pool. Unfortunately the mosquito/fly screen had been torn and my air conditioning unit was broken, so the beginning of my stay over 3 nights was less than perfect. The staff tried but failed to get the air conditioner working and then moved me to a new room for the end of my stay. on retrospect I should have been moved after the first night but I wasn’t pushy enough. The room was cleaned every day and the freezer a big compartment, ideal. in room 14 the freezer was smaller but otherwise the room very similar.
Breakfasts on offer were good and reasonably priced, that was all I tried. The bar played modern music at night until the last customer left and a to was showing football etc. Only met English customers; most were middle aged or older and repeat visitors which shows it is reliable and enjoyed by them.
The bar only takes cash and there are no facilities to pay by card or phone which was a problem I had to overcome. Generally in Alakanas cash was preferred by businesses I noticed.
The walk to the beach was not too onerous and the sandy beach at the harbour end has Neraida and Akti beach bars to service them. The beach that end was also very clean and well maintained with warm shallow waters and sun beds hired out at cash price €10 for two per day. Nicks boat hire was €150 for 4 hrs plus petrol. Good, fun little motor boats.
Not all rooms have fly screens - middle building. The bathroom windows have no screens and mozzies are numerous because of the pool and well kept grounds that are watered.
No payment facilities
No barrister skills yet.

Well appointed room in the new deluxe block, lots of choice for breakfast. Main tavernas a short walk away and the beach was only about 15 mins walk
Everything was superb

Stayed in the old building - it was okish. Location wise ok.
We did stay in the old part - rated 3 stars hotel - that need degrade. The apartment was okish - the linen was not so clean as we notice some marks on it. Towels not changed was not changed in 4 days. The bathroom had a lot of lime build up around the taps. Under bed for very long time not cleaned as when I pull out my bag that I push under I collected a lot of dust.
More to add the cleaner just walk in to our room without even knocking to the door - she even did not apologise/ I know it was our check out day but come one knock to the door first!!
The breakfast was lest say looking like English breakfast but the best of it was Egg and Beans rest not really great. The coffee was coming with it but no offer of juice or water - you need to pay additional money. I wish the breakfast could be like in Morrison that would be great. The bacon was burn out and toast ver dry, mushrooms not eatable.
Overall standard - universal credit hotel.

Hospitality of the owner Andy and her sons was excellent. It is very nice hotel with friendly athmosphere. Service of all staff is super!!! Hotel is very close to tavernas, bars and markets. We had the apartment in the new building and everything was nice and enough.

Family run hotel.
Got a room in a new building. The room was really nice and new.
The owner was really nice.
Location is good & quiet.
Breakfast took a very long time to arrive in the morning. A buffet would be much better suited, not to lose important morning time. Over our 10 nights stay it felt repetitive.

Pre paid 14 days breakfast for myself, husband, daughter and 5 year old grandson ( 168 euros ) Had the basic breakfast for first four days and on the fifth day we’re told we were too late so went elsewhere. The following day 3 of us went to breakfast early and were followed a bit later by my daughter. The owner accused her of trying to have a second free breakfast ( very weird as she only wanted a coffee ) We went elsewhere for breakfast for the rest of the holiday. We were not given a refund ( approximately 100 euros )
The attitude of the owner was unprofessional. One of her sons charged 4 euros for water whilst other staff charged 2.50 euros. The same son also charged 100 euros for air conditioning which was already paid in the original price for the room when we booked. I hope the maid received the money we left for her in the room as did a fantastic job and had a perfect attitude.

The new rooms are very comfortable. The owner and Theo were very friendly and helpful. The clea er for the new block was very friendly as well.
The pool was not as clean as I would expect. The first half of our stay we didn't want to use it, very cloudy and even with goggles on you couldn't see early under the water. They did appear to sortbit before we went home but it did put us off using it.

Everything was great. It was very clean, looked new and well maintained, the bathroom was also very clean. It was peaceful and nice, the bed was very comfortable, I liked that it had 4 pillows.I would definitely go back there.
It might have been nice to have disposable slippers. But I wouldn't say it's a problem.
