Located conveniently to the station and locality of Humberside Airport, this pub’s only strength is its food and drinks. Good selection of beverages and a reasonably priced food menu. Breakfast was tasty and served in the bar, but no choice / options given as to what you get.
Massively let down by a number of things: Dog being allowed to walk on bar top, continual swearing from locals clearly heard, barmaid swearing continually, waitress did not ask how the food was and did not offer any other food/drink options post main course.
Rooms are tired and in desperate need of decorating - bathroom sink was cracked, shower dirty and in need of replacement, window frames rotting and paint peeling off, bedside light didn’t work, extension cables all over the floor posing trip hazard, central heating didn’t work-although electric heater provided, no shampoo or body wash provided, bed looked like it had been thrown together, no WiFi reception in the room, kettle was dirty. A little investment is needed to bring the accommodation up to scratch, certainly wouldn’t call it 4 star, more in the 2 star bracket and that is being generous.

Simple pub room with comfortable bed, coffee and good wifi. Everything worked and was kept clean. The staff were very pleasant.
Very good breakfast.
The one niggle was the lights which have not been updated to modern LEDs.

Couldn't fault the staff very attentive, friendly even when very busy and short staffed
Very handy for train station .
The pub and accommodation needs totally updating same old decor inside and out when we visited a few years ago.
Room was drab and needs an overall makeover, blinds were very dusty and we're broken , food wasn't brilliant but never mind, I think charging £8.95 extra for breakfast when the room cost £76.95 is wrong especially when the rooms need an update yes I appreciate the cost of living has gone up but come on it doesn't cost that much to prepare a cooked breakfast.

Checking in, and the evening meal was excellent
We were rushed at breakfast on our first morning there.

Staff were great,, good food and very good value.
Room clean and tidy.
It's not the Ritz or the savoy, but it's not £800 a night!
In relative terms, it's excellent.
Nothing negative for me.

The warm welcome & friendly approachable staff. 1st class breakfast. Room was dated but spotlessly clean. Pub is traditional & very welcoming. Food is marvellous, will definitely stay here again.
The walls are a bit thin so bring ear plugs.

Nice friendly staff, room nicely heated, good double bed
The toilet cistern overflowed with trickling noise the whole time. It was very cold at the time and the outer door to the upstairs corridor could not be closed. The owner must be wasting much heating fuel!

Really cheap (single room). Great value for the money. Decent room overall.
No toiletries provided. Mould in the shower could be cleaned.

Nicely prepared food in bar lounge . Economical value rooms somewhat tired but ok for price.
Rooms in annex fairly cramped . We parked ok but think it could be more difficult at certain times .

Pleasant room comfortable with modern ensuite. Separate block in grounds of pleasant Pub.
At the price I paid, it was excellent value.
The view is of a rather unattractive railway station. Located in a rather dull unattractive village.

I didn’t like anything about it
horrible place, I wasn’t expecting the tatty rundown building that was behind the pub was the place we were supposed to stay. the windows were very tatty all the paint flaking off. the bathroom was ok but the actual room was tiny my partner would have had to climb over the bed to get in the other side. grotty dirty marked walls that hadn’t been painted in a long time, the plug point was not screwed into one side of the wall so was very loose, there was flaking off plaster around the windows. I got in the room and just cried I was so disappointed and disgusted. we stayed there for about 20 minutes on our phones looking for and booking an alternative place to stay then we left.

The room was bigger than a typical similar room - e.g. in Skegness.
The bathroom was clean and fully tiled with a working shower cubicle.
It was possible to get the kettle partly under the tap..
Easy access to train station, but I don't know why anyone would get off a train there...
No scheduled bus route (only an on-demand taxi/bus at £2.50+) and no transfers to the airport. (only taxi)
If there's a 'function' at the pub, then the restaurant isn't available, but then there's nowhere else to eat!
Although I liked the steak and ale pie and chips, I hate paying £8 for a 'small portion'!
This part of Lincolnshire closes on a Sunday, you can't even get fish and chips! (Which was the reason I didn't stay for the Sunday night, I preferred to go home.
In the room (room 11), there was the usual tiny TV, no light switch near the bed, and serious lack of power sockets:
One double, for TV+Skybox+kettle and one double for bedside/desk light and anything else. (I brought my own extension leads)
No other socket for the plug in heater - which fortunately wasn't required.
