Chambre agréable, très calme. Bonne litterie.

A good sized bedroom and bathroom. Nice to have a hot water kettle and tea and coffee. The hotel kindly stored our 2 bicycles in a downstairs dining room.
The room showed signs of not being cleaned thoroughly. No fan or air con, which made it hot and stuffy

The rooms have a decent size. The location of the hotel is pretty, right in the centre of a quaint small town.
It looks like the hotel hasn't had any renovation in the last 50 years. The lock of the door of our room did not work; to make it work you had to lift the door with all your strength while locking it. The toilet paper holder was broken. Only one towel was provided per guest, and they were not changed on the second day of our stay.
We were extremely tired due to the long journey we had had, but were kept awake until about 2am because there was a band playing in the square with a lot of people singing along. On top of this, at 7am the tower bell right in front of the hotel started chiming... It was a very uncomfortable stay, unfortunately.

Beautiful location in a lovely village, good restaurant
We had a room under the roof with only tiny little window and no air conditioning and there was over 30 degrees at night and no air (only a fan that does not work much and does not help at all).
Room was very basic, just a bed and small table with two chairs,no closet.
Wifi does not work in our room

The hotel and restaurant staff was very friendly
Internet did not work in the room. The cost of the breakfast for that breakfast

Agreed a little run down but thats what is charming about Hotel du Vieux Chateau
Room service provided and friendly staff
Local amenities were within walking distance and free parking available.
Surrounding location was lovely overseeing the Saint Croix lake
Air conditioning in the room is needed. Very hot room especially in the evening and clock tower goes off every half an hour during the day.
Due to no ventilation, we had to keep windows open and deal with noise and mosiqitos throughout the night.

Friendly staff, goed breakfast, great location
Driveway to the chateaux a bit steep

The old building is absolutely stunning, the staff are extremely friendly and the restaurant makes the best pizza I have ever had.
The clock tower is located right next to the building and the bell is quite loud which can be disturbing in the night.

great village close to the Gorges and to very nice beaches.. cozy place

The town is very cute and the hotel is in the heart of it. The restaurant in the little square was very nice too.
I found it a bit expensive for what you get. And the internet was soo bad. They have a very old (not secure) connection system so I could not connect to my google drive during all my stay (I know that I am supposed to be on holiday but...).
