Wonderful, fun and cosy place to stay in Ballarat. It was a lovely, warm and comfortable stay. The host was wonderful and she left warm, fresh baked bread and plenty of tasty breakfast goods. This was really appreciated. It was quiet and private stay and had lots of quirky and fun highlights. Thoroughly well looked after accommodation and every attempt was made to ensure an enjoyable stay.
It was great! Thank you.

The cottage was exceptionally clean, with fantastic heating. Queen bed was very comfortable, with plenty of extra blankets.

Everything! Was contacted a few days prior to booking to choose our breakfast options. Was given instructions on keys and safe. There were print outs explaining anything we MIGHT need to know about the remotes and how to operate things. It was lovely self contained, clean, comfy and warm place to stay! And the beds were super comfy too! :)
I was very happy with everything.

Very good accommodation. Very clean, spacious, and the facilities were more than sufficient. Two separate rooms within the self-contained unit was great. The host was friendly and helpful.

Fantastic for everything
Bed and pillows were very uncomfortable

Having freshly baking bread ready set to finish as you arrive is a very nice touch.
Breakfast food provided was excellent.
Cooking equipment/facilities could not be faulted. Great if you want to self cater.
Massage chair - mmmmmmmmmm
Very clean and well maintained.
Spa/Sauna/Shower needed more instructions.
###BEWARE if you are old or have mobility problems### LARGE step up and over to enter this equipment (and its the only shower available - although there is a bath)
Parking is quite tight - I didn't even attempt to leave in the dark.
Toilet only entered from main bedroom - so might be interesting for a group of friends staying here.

The breakfast provided was exceptional and I was only sorry I wasn't able to finish it all! Delicious and such a wonderful thing to provide to guests, it made my stay much more comfortable. Despite Google Maps leading me astray initially, the property provided easy access to central Ballarat by bike (and by car too, I imagine) and was a fantastic spot to retreat too after a busy day out. The spa facilities were phenomenal and I particularly enjoyed the comfort of the massage chair after spending all day riding. The cottage had a charming, old world feel and the gas fire was excellent at keeping it warm and toasty inside. The host was very attentive and made sure my stay was exceptional - I will certainly be back in the future.
I honestly had no complaints about the property. It was warm, clean and comfortable, and had easy access to amenities. I'd highly recommend Aroma Cottage to anyone looking for a either a short retreat or a long stay.

Jennifer had catered very well for breakfast with a great variety on hand. The property was well presented and had excellent heating (Jennifer had the house lovely and warm for our arrival) and was very comfortable. Loved the massage chair! Loved the spa set up and lastly, the house and its facilities were very clean.
Nothing negative.

If you enjoy rules (especially laminated rules attached to most surfaces or a book which gives details why you shouldn't steal facewashers), blocked access to the toilet, breakfast with expiry dates of three and a half years ago, and no heating in the bedrooms this could be the place for you.
This is not a spa retreat. It's a cottage at the back of the owner's house, with rules including that visitors may not sit on the furniture. If you're not a couple be aware that if using the twin bedroom you don't have direct access to the bathroom or toilet. The "spa/shower/sauna" which was pitched as the drawing card (with misleading claims) was clearly not cleaned to industry standards and the smell was difficult to deal with. This place is pitched as luxury on the website, with a $195 per night price tag. The luxury breakfast comprised food that had expiry dates of January 2018, when this was brought to the owner's attention, I was told it was because of Covid-19. Not luxury and terrible customer experience. Stay in town.

breakfast was good, heating was good, facilities were good, good interaction with host
there was a lot of dust on curtains, no toilet roll dispenser

The rooms are very clean and beautifully decorated. Room facilities along with breakfast were very good.
