Fantastic location - lovely views of the sea & pier, very comfortable beds, helpful & friendly owner, well equipped kitchen, lots of space
Flat needs some updating - felt a little chilly at times as no central heating (convector heaters), shower had a little mould which needs removing (I can recommend "Mould Magic"!)

Location was the best thing about this listing.
I know this is listed as “vintage” …. but vintage heating as in battered plug in units that are totally unsafe as there are NO electrical safety stickers on anything. Was too scared to leave the heaters on while we were out. Beds were really uncomfortable, we went out to buy new pillows and duvets(never done that before)! Bathroom was just about adequate although the pull light/fan didn’t work properly, best thing was the toilet flushed properly.
The kitchen is totally unusable with open shelves that don’t appear to be cleaned properly and certainly not Covid safe. It’s supposed to be for 6 people, however there’s only 5 chairs round the table and 1 of those was totally broken. The leather 3 and 2 seat sofas (again only for 5 people) were absolutely filthy. I was so incensed I took photos.
( they appear to be the same ones that are in their brochure of several years ago) The key under the mat is a thing I can’t comprehend and we didn’t like the owner knocking on the door asking how we’re getting on in his his accommodation. We stayed 3 of the 4 nights as we had business to do in the area but couldn’t stand another cold dreary night there. Oh, and by the way, putting £1 coins in the meter is something I haven’t done since I was a very poor person in the 1980’s ( don’t suppose we’re going to get back what we left in the meter)? The windows don’t close properly, making them totally unsafe for toddlers because the locks don’t work. There are stains on most of the walls and the curtains are inexplicably short and very stained.
Ok, basically this flat is in need of total refurbishment bringing it up to date but keeping the “vintage charm”
Obviously we had a terrible holiday knowing we had to go back to this flat, couldn’t wait to go home.

location
Additional charge for basic amenity such as electric, especially since all heating was electric was cold when we arrived, decorating needs doing, all electric requested to be off on departure so first day boiler was off so missus had cold shower till I found the boiler off.
hallway and stairwell smelt terrible.
