The view was nice and close to the beach

I hosted a birthday weekend with a few friends at the Blue Ocean Beauty and was thoroughly impressed with the property. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out, but the best part was the gorgeous kitchen with ample seating. I enjoyed having everyone around the island while we cooked meals and the dining table fit everyone perfectly. The hot tub was a great addition to the house as well.
The stay itself was 10/10, but I was also impressed with the customer service after I'd forgotton my ring at the house. Getting in contact with Vacasa was a breeze and my ring arrived in the mail quickly. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We have stayed at this home many times and we always love coming back. Only thing that could use improvement is the fireplaces both did not work at all and overall cleaning services could be better. There are several cobwebs on the ceilings upstairs, corners and edges dirty in several areas, behind the hot tub is pretty bad, and a few walls have splatters on them that could be cleaned up. There is a big ant problem in kitchen and very limited tv channel options, but other than that it isn’t a bad choice for a short term vacation

Very nice property with plenty of room for all of us! Beautiful and well equipped kitchen for all of our cooking. Big living room to gather in. We had a great time and enjoyed our walks on the beach. I hate to give any negative comments because we had such a lovely time but in the interest of improving the oven did not work the best. Took a long time to heat up and I don’t think the convection part was working. First level twins beds were not good at all and the shower on first level did not get hot. The other beds were comfortable and showers nice.

Nice, well-maintained home and great beach location. We enjoyed our stay.

Blue Ocean really is all it claims- beautiful, comfortable and so relaxing. The beds were so comfortable, the living spaces were plenty and thoughtfully designed and the sauna and hot tub were amazing.

Pros: absolutely beautiful top floor with fully stocked kitchen, lots of comfortable seating, and stunning views! Lots of sleeping areas. Hot tub! Easy walk to beach. Elevator for elderly parents. Nice shower! The beach is FANTASTIC and not crowded at all.
Areas of improvement: lots of bird poop on deck area/outdoor chairs. Towels are worn and time to replace. Couldn’t get steam shower on 1st floor to turn on. Had requested elevator access for my elderly parents but we needed to call to get the code for the elevator key as it was not provided in advance delisted having made the request (and poor AT&T cell service at the house so had a hard time calling to get the code.)
Overall a great home though and we’d stay there again!

We had a fabulous time here! The house as just as advertised, near what we wanted to do and spotless. We're not crazy about the extra fees we had to pay to Vacasa and Vrbo both, and the elevator access was perfect for a family member with limited mobility. We'll be back!
4.5
Pros- beautiful home with a view of the ocean. Short walk to the ocean. Loved and lived in the steam shower. Enjoyed the fire pit (bring your own wood).
Cons- very minor :)3 story, should've requested the code for the elevator. It's hard to bring all the groceries up 3 flights of stairs. The hot tub is on the small side. Pots and pans could use an update. Batteries needed to be changed in the smoke alarm.. kept beeping in the master bedroom both nights.

This house was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Easy walk to the beach. Because it can accommodate so many people, I would recommend at least another service for 4 in terms of dishes and silverware, but we made it work for our party of 6 by running the dishwasher everyday. Plenty of towels, space to relax, easy parking. The outdoor living space left a little to be desired - just a tiny deck off the main living area with two chairs that weren't especially inviting. There is a large deck off the bedrooms on the second level, but no place really to comfortably relax. Overall, it was a great place.
4.5
Kitchen could have had more utensils and better pots and pans. No cheese grader, lime squeezer.. and other utensils were not so great. Some pots and pans with Teflon coming off and a little rusty. Would have appreciated aluminum foil and plastic wrap to cover left overs. Rug in living room was coming up on corner and a few of us tripped on it. An outdoor BBQ would have been helpful.

The house is beautiful. It was clean and perfectly ready for us. Wonderful kitchen to cook in. We loved being in a quiet neighborhood. Loved the beach views from the house and having a beautiful beach so close. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

This house cannot be beat for location and the most amazing ocean views from the living and dining room. We spent a week with 6 adults and 2 children and there was plenty of room for everyone. The only downside was 2 of the bedrooms had bunk beds.

The house was amazing and the location wonderful. We had a great reunion with old friends.

For the price it's hard to complain. My family and I had a really nice time while we were there. Liked the location. The fireplaces were very nice on the cool mornings and evenings.
Loved the open concept. The indoor hot tub was a nice feature for the cool coastal days we were there. Pretty nice view. We even had 29 Elk show up 2 nights before we left. It was nice that my whole family was able to sleep on the middle level of the house. Made it more comfortable.
This place, unfortunately is lacking in some areas. The biggest concern I have is the musty smell. I had some concerns about mold while we were there. The sauna shower area by the door was warped pretty bad with water damage and the smell is the strongest down there. It is also pretty strong in the half bath upstairs. The doors to go out on the decks are all tied together because they won't close right. The icemaker on the freezer was broken. Numerous dishes and cooking pots were dirty when pulled out. It was apparent the showers may get wiped down but the floors not so much. Even the showers we didn't use had quite a bit of hair on them. Even found a rubber band on the shower floor from a previous guest.
There are a lot of cleanliness details I could overlook because the experience was still enjoyable. The thing that wasn't great is not knowing who to contact regarding the property. I received text messages from the company and each time they were someone different that didn't remember our text feed. I contacted the last number I had in my phone to try and chat with someone about the things we found at the property before leaving a review because I think that is polite. Give them the benefit of the doubt. I was told they would contact me and no one did. I tried messaging through VRBO, Vacasa, texting and still nothing. There was one time (The day after we got there) Someone asked how I would rate the cleanliness so I rated the cleanliness and also mentioned that the highchair was missing. Someone brought one by the next day. I like a more personal experience and that is definitely not what I got. If the communication was better and more apparent on how to contact someone and the musty smell was remedied we would definitely stay again.

Cape Mears Getaway
The Blue Ocean Beauty was a fantastic location for a quick getaway. This house has it all, great views, tons of space, very clean, and very well maintained. Super quick / easy walk to the beach.
I finally hiked the trail from the beach access up and over the mountain to the lighthouse.
I would absolutely go stay at this house again
Thanks!

I booked this place for just my spouse and I for our 15 year anniversary. It's a lot of house for just two people but that's exactly why I booked it. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful with an ocean view. Hot tub was great and the living space was warm and excellent to relax in. The chess set got a ton of use from us. I only have a couple pieces of negative feedback. First, the master bedroom. It needs a new bedframe. I had read in another review it had broken before and the first night, thought it was going to break just sleeping on it. Lots of flex, creaking, cracking noises. It's just a cheap frame. For the cost to rent, I would expect something made of real wood abd of high quality. We ended up sleeping in the secondary bedroom for the trip (much better bedframe). I hope someone reads this and gets a frame that the bedroom deserves. Also the fireplace in the master didn't work. It would have been great post shower. Second, the steam shower door down stairs looked liked it needed a cleaning, especially at the bottom. We did not use this. Lastly, the dryer didn't work. We attempted to start some towels before we left and couldn't dry them. That's said, overall it was a fantastic property and we fully intend to stay again the next time we're in Tillamook. 5 stars overall.

7 of us comfortably stayed in this lovely house with a great ocean view. Cozy fireplaces and an indoor hot tub made for cozy evenings. Kitchen and dining area lent themselves well to group dining. Only flaw was that there were some stubborn flies in the house that were quite pesky.

The beach behind the house is gorgeous! So quiet and private. The house was well stocked, plenty hand soap, dishwashing tablets, towels (beach & bath), kitchen had great supplies (even seasonings). We had a great stay and just loved the house! Clean, comfortable, just great!
(Couldn’t get elevator or upstairs cable tv to work.)

This home is amazing in size, view and accommodations. We had an issue with the master bed. I sat on it and the whole thing gave way. The supports broke off and the mattress ended up on the floor. Maintainable ended up coming out at 10:00pm and he was super nice and was able to fix it.
Another small issue but very annoying - the bunk beds were not made. Bedding simply folded up on the end of each mattress. So after the mayhem with my bed, it was late and kids were about to get into bed - I had to climb up on the top bunk and make it. There is also a rung missing on the bunk bed, which makes climbing down tricky. Since we said there was going to be a full house, all of the beds should have been made and ready - especially for what we paid per night.
All in all - it was lovely.
